having this exact problem after installing my walker's razor slims onto the knockoff peltor mounts from amazon. Thanks for making this video, very helpful! I'll be using some gorilla super glue, I think that'll work for my airsoft needs.
I'm so glad I found this video. I was assembling my helmet and had the exact issue you mentioned where one side of my walkers just fall right off my helmet when I put it on. I'm trying some tape on the arms but I may just end up using your JB weld solution.
Take a hammer and smash the ends to the wire flat a bit, opposite of how they are pressed from the factory and put the muffs back on and they will catch
@@cranberryrelish1179 so I recently took it on a 4 day ftx and it held up good. And I traded it for a team windy that had nothing on it. The guy really like my comms setup so he saw it as fair trade
@@offthecouch1999 I found the wires on the rail adapter to be too thin to hold my walkers on. Not wanting to permanently glue them in place, I sanded the wires and painted on thin coats of epoxy resin, let it dry, and sanded it smooth and small enough to snugly fit the razor sleeve. Lets me keep the old headband around and use it as needed too.
My question is. You said keep the headband cuz you can reuse it later and take the headphones off your helmet and put them back on the headband… then jb welds them to the helmet mount 😂😂
You also don't have to use jb weld unless you buy really chap arc rail adopters like the ones i did. I usually put the actual peltors on my ballistic helmet and the cheap ones on my bumps like this one
@@offthecouch1999 no I totally get it, it just seemed funny to me that’s all. I’m about to do the same thing and your video was super informative and helpful so thank you!
@@offthecouch1999 I ordered a set from HHV when I ordered my helmet. The pop lock ones and slid some walkers on it for range shooting. Don’t use comms yet but 👌🏼
or spend a little more money and go to hard headed veterans to support an american made brand! This will help you avoid cheap plastic that will never last in any sort of “tactical” scenario let alone an airsoft bb hitting the tiny plastic part you’re talking about. I also broke the $15 cheap plastic. Money+American made speaks volumes!
@BlueCollarTactical hard headed veterans refused to send me a helmet bc my address on my card and my address it was sent to was different. Can't support a brand that wond send a product
@@offthecouch1999 So you should really be thanking them… If your card info got stolen then youd be screwed. All you have to do is use one of the third party payment companies (like paypal) that they support. Paypal double checks your identity (youre creating/ having to sign into an account, and have to manually add bank/card information into said account) this is probably one of the safest ways to pay especially bc of paypal’s refund policy. Maybe you just didnt look at it that way though🤷🏻♂️
Cut along the back seam of the headphones. This way if you ever want to reuse the head mount you can just glue it shut or use paranoid and meet seam it together
I think they were great for use with non-peltor equipment. But I will be honest and tell you that the plastic that comes with mounting the actual peltours to the arc rails if you're using them for non-walker headphones I simply wouldn't recommend them I would spend the money and get the real ones. But if you're going to end up taking off the plastic and installing the actual Arc rails themselves I would say it's a great decision and they have held up well over the past three field trainings and night fire courses
I will say that you may wanted to throw some JB weld in the holes as shown in the video in the event that they try to slide down the arms when not affixed to your head
Thank you man. You made this extremely easy to follow and understand.

Glad it helped my friend and the coms for the walkers work on that so you can run a 2 way radio that's sold by walker with your team if you have one
