His balance and footwork is downright phenomenal to watch. He’s a power striker but he glides across the ground in such a smooth and steady fashion. He really does stalk his prey!
That's made in China. Most of the time it doesn't last long and you will have to buy a new one all over again. 😅😅😅
The way he calmly applies pressure is impressive! He’s very patient for a striker.
@@blasblasblas2094 casually racist, youre a weirdo
That's shows how hard he trains mabu ( horse stance ) 😊
If you see how they train for balance, It make sense
0:18 is literally the craziest block and counter to a kick I've ever witnessed. Man was in the zone.
How are you the only one to comment on this. This was insane.
Much shaolin indeed
Can someone explain how he countered it? I can’t quite see, where does he punch?
@@mysteryfacebookgirl he dodges the kick, throws a left hook into his opponent's left leg with enough force to make the man do a flip, then follows up while he's on the ground with a NASTY head blow
Watch it at quarter speed, looks like he punches his inner thigh of the kicking leg
Never underestimate the legs of a Shaolin Monk. If you watch their daily training, you'll know they never heard of skipping leg day.
Their version of leg day makes the entire western hemispheres population look like a bunch of jello legged people lol.
1 word .... Horse stance 😊
I heard that Muay Thai fighters are just as powerful their knees and kicks sound like a firecracker went off.
@@minimonkeyplayTruth their kicks are so powerful it looks like someone pulled a rug from underneath you how fast you fall. Not to mention the average human is getting their leg snapped in half like a twig by masters
Their training is some of the most incredible work I've seen. The unending dedication to grueling work is really something else. It is a spiritual practice, after all, so you can understand the dedication, but I could never imagine keeping up with them for more than a minute or something laughable lol.
When Kim was on his back and Xie had just stood up, it was HILARIOUS how Xie just grabbed Kim's ankle and, literally, started kicking Kim's butt 😂
I loved it because he conditions Kim to expect it and i think Kim thought he could catch his breath and then Xie switches last second to throw a massive haymaker to try and end it. Brilliant fight IQ.
Fr kicked his ahh😭
Time?
Around 14:30 lol the way the ref just stands there and watches just is funny 😂
You mean his nerves that are in that region
i don't watch alot of fighting stuff, but i can tell Xie is very good at damage mitgation, very good at cornering his opponent, and the man has some very fast hands. but all that and he's probably one of the most level headed calm fighters i've ever seen, and very hard to take down. the way he moves and responds in almost complete sync with his opponent, means he's prepared for just about anything. very skilled individual.
Typically calm fighters are hella dangerous.
"alot" is two words. A lot.
@rossshepherd9836 ill take your advice and put it right here in this little box of notes that i stash very openly in the top shelf of my closet :) thank you.
@rossshepherd9836 Also, if you wanna get technical, you split one sentence into two where it wasn't appropriate. You said, "'alot' is two words. A Lot." When you should have said "'alot' is two words, 'a lot'". and your correction also wasn't supposed to be capitalized, considering the words you quoted during your correction were also not capitalized. You actually made the grammar worse by correcting it.
@@rossshepherd9836hold the L
Xie's peripheral vision is immense. Seeing those kicks and just being out of the way of them, some of those strikes as well, especially against Agasa. Baiting him into a heavy throw and shifting out the way of it.
It's easy to see your opponents body when they're 4 feet
@@muhbussy9813harder to predict then, no? Because they would have a harder time avoiding the “4-step away” attack coming at them.
14:03 Kim used the “illegal sibling” move 😂 When u have a fight with your sibling and they pull that move
I was thinking the same thing Lmaoo🤣
especially when he grabbed Kim's feet
This just randomly came up in my feed and I had to stop and watch just because of his crazy footwork
just came up for me dude. and for once i approve! This guy is fun to watch. I am taught in Goju Ryu
His control of distance and spacing is robotically perfect. VERY talented fighter and his style is so entertaining to watch!
Xie has amazing take down defence as well as the ability to get back to his feet. Agasa is a world class wrestler and grappler. Xie almost made it look easy. Obviously not the case. Remarkable skill set. I'm impressed with his well rounded style. Also pushing forward constantly keeping pressure on the opponent. Awesome conditioning and stamina. Puts a new refreshing perspective on the Shaolin Kung Fu legacy. Real deal. I'm convinced
This is the type of guy you don't wanna mess with
Xie's final liver hit on Kim was absolutely insane man, nobody is gonna just power through that one
I felt that one 😅
And he got a kick in the same spot right before, too
Nobody ever talk about indestructible this dude is…. He eats some of the biggest shots and still moves forward through them.
I dont like how agasa has just ONE plan in the whole fight - like " i nEeD a tAeKdowN" - that cuddeling is going no where - xie has brilliantly defended those attempts and continued using clean technique in standup FIGHTING
Not to mention just feinting and doing big footwork for no reason constantly draining his stamina while xie essentially just holds ground
Fr I hate takedown spammers
Bro maybe he is not good at striking and he knew it that's why went for the takedown
Yeah this is why I'm not so crazy about watching MMA. Its also not much use if the other person is allowed to bite. He would be taking chunks out of his face everytime he was pushing him against the cage.
It's MMA, you people gotta shut up about when people want to wrestle and do jujitsu, or just watch the muy-thai and kick boxing divisions of ONE championship.
You people are so fricken annoying, STOP COMPLAINING THAT THEY USE A MIXTURE OF DIFFERENT MARTIAL ARTS IN A SPORT LITERALLY CALLED MIXED MARTIAL ARTS.
apart from that, yeah I agree Agasa was very 1 dimensional and was completely outclassed in this fight.
Xie is epic. An incredible sportsman
The Xie ve Chan fight was great. Both of them so much speed, power, and endurance, and with crazy strong kicks too
Yeah if only Chan didn’t almost knock himself over every time
in pretty much all of his fights, Chan is kicking for a knockout on every single strike attempt. if he lands that roundhouse to the head, the fights probably gonna be over real quick.
Xie showed superior footworks there - kept safe distance for Chan to draw out his power. Brilliant fight. Smart move with the grapplings (I personally hate that move 😅)
kim is a tank. that man was getting blasted and never gave up
Take down defense from Xie was nuts
I like that Shaolin guy. What kind of iron is he made if ?
He has speed, stamina, techniques and doesn't even flinch when recieving body shots.
it is because shaolin monks train incredible hard to have this body toughness.
@@shdwmereYeah, I watch Jhonny English. These guys are invincible even kick to their balls.
@@FnD4212 thats a comedy movie
@@somker-zw1mg That's a great comedy movie hahahaha
You remember now what bruce lee meant with "do not take eyes off your opponent no matter what".
30:36 what a nice display of sportsmanship. It is official match but also guys just having some fun xD
His footwork is so seamless. That flying knee in the first fight didnt seem like it hit but look at the blood coming out. The way he moves around is so fluid.
Shaolin Monk? The title is wrong.
The announcer is correct Shaolin trained is correct.
Yeah. A monk wouldn't be fighting in mma for money. I know sometimes the temples will put on exhibitions to raise money for the upkeep of the temple, but i have a feeling that this isn't for that purpose. In some respects, he's a failed shaolin monk. Obviously a very skilled fighter. Very entertaining and great athleticism.
This dudes hunting while they're surviving lol.
0:22
That was an absolutely masterful read and counter.
Not only did he sidestep at an insane level of precision/timing, he hit his combatant on the less-stable side (the side opposing that full-leg kick) while also being inside his opponent's guard.
Damn.
How come they don’t mention of the obvious difference in physical strengths? XIE is clearly fighting a much stronger human being.
because it depends on how u view muscle definition doesn’t always mean stronger
@@thotting exactly. @jazzguitarcollege, he is a former shaolin monk. Look up their training. What they do on a daily basis for physical and mental strength is awe aspiring.
The much stronger person ran away the whole fight? Clearly Xie has more power.
Size doesn't determine strength my manypu can be physically smaller and still be stronger than the other dude. Depending on methods of training. Calithenics is a massive example of size to power ratio as well as muscle definition and appearance
@@lights0ut503just learned recently that good hypertrophy doesn’t always equate to strength. Strength is actually a lot more mental than we give credit for.
Palm heel strike? That was a slap.
IT WAS A SLAAAP!!! 😂
Discombobulate
Ty!
When is that?
@@gj4312around 4:20
that chan guy was very nice and fun throughout, i absolutely don't know if i could ever maintain that level of coldheadedness
Xie has an amazing range of different shots and he's able to combine them at will. Phenomenal fighter !
modern shaolin training incorporates mma style sparring. that in combination with the hyper-focused reflexes discovered through meditation and the uncanny grit from some of the training they do makes them some of the best fighters
As a wrestler that was crazy good takedown defense, do they wrestle?
@@Abstrakt_YTnot sure but i think the guy in this video used to do wrestling.
@@Abstrakt_YTwait nevermind. But they could incorporate wrestling into their training. It wouldn’t surprise me.
@@Abstrakt_YT probably because flexibility is a huge part of their training and in really translates when being taken to the ground. As demonstrated when Agasa attempts a takedown and Xie breaks it almost immediately.
@@m16dude967 for a non wrestler to have this great takedown defense is very impressive especially against someone who is exceptional at wrestling. Dude it just so much of a beast it don’t even matter
He just keeps on coming forward
What a fighter, strength, stamina,Shaolin monk is highly tempered.
Actually my new favorite fighter, hes collected and a quick thinker
4:20 “Palm heel strike”, that was a slap
The stamina management on Xie's end is just insane. Dude literally never gets tired
Xie after Agasa's fight - "Thx for hugs darling" 😂
At 6:13 xie throws a elbow and you can literally hear the wind
Xie doesn't waste space or movements, he even has micro-moves as he strikes or defends. That's being AWARE. Even of possibilities during the process.
Must be annoying for Xie to fight Agasa.
"If only there's no rule against elbowing the back of the head..." Probably going through Xie's mind.
Finally a super successful striker that completely dominates the take down defense.
4:19 is hilarious 😂
21:08 that liver shot + the punch from above in the face when kim was on the ground must've hurt like hell 😬🤕
Very composed and patient style, but also pushes his opponents with pace.
he looks amazing
Boy, he really makes it, so the opponent feels the fight for the next 3 weeks. He just tortures them
I’m convinced Shaolin monks are supernatural. I have seen them do crazy things, almost inhuman things.
Xie has some lf the craziest physical endurance i have seen
one guy struggling to finds a way to win while other guy just having fun
Xie is a very good sportsman and fighter..... well done.
0:19 This part is where I knew I was watching a master.
In one round, Xie learned everything about his opponent.
That Kim vs. Xie fight was nuts! Kim has the heart of a lion, damn that was a good fight!
There are two types of Shaolin: Northern and Southern. Both are real. People who talk negatively about Shaolin have never met actual Shaolin practitioners, particularly the ones from China.
If you still don't believe it, book a ticket, go to China and spar with an actual 32nd to 36th Chamber of Shaolin and you will know.

Those were some awesome fights! Thanks One!
I would not want to be on the receiving end of any of Xie's knees. Ouch 😬
3:35 when he stuffs the single leg and the knees him in the face!! Damn I thought it was going to end there for a minute!!
Former? Nah... Bro achieved victorious-fighting-budha
Xie has phenomenal ground defense and striking!
Xie is more calculated and calm than others, even its physique and strength not in par with theirs.
Bro 😮 homie in the comments got it so right, 0:18 | The cleanest form, the cleanest counter, the most picture perfect Shaolin fighting techniques being visibly put into real application in mma is almost breathtaking to see how the will, determination, and ability to adapt. This guy drives that motion down the line throughout his fights and keeps it, even through the fatigue, he may slow down the way he is on the attack, but he keeps the same level of mental strength and stamina in bad situations remaining highly versatile, at one point he almost gets choked out, and most other fighters tap out in those situations as they’ve exhausted all their stamina and options for longevity in the ground game. He remained so calm and eventually got out because he worked the problem and didn’t let the problem work him. Outstanding. to watch this in real life would be magic hey, I’ll definitely be showing people this guys fights
I don’t think I even realize how fast this man is and I just watched him for a half hour against three game opponents.
xies breaks are phenomenal good lord
7:30 that elbow strike was smooth af man.
Like the reject of his class, the ones who didn't make it.😅
A real Shaolin monk trains for hours everyday. It’s pretty hard to beat a bonafide Shaolin monk if he goes full throttle.
Most dont even spar so would be completely useless in combat,if they train sanda tjen mma they have potential

hes really an amazing fighter, fighting against him must be like trying to chop down a thin steelbar with your shins
Ill put it this way.... agasa has all those accolades, and xie was still very aggresive the whole match... managed to reverse many of those take downs and made agasa worry about those hands... so... i mean... i guess im saying hats off to both but xie definitely showed out for the monks here.
That monk is definetly the cool bad boy that got exiled from the sect, and all the little kids there look up to him😂
I very much doubt that he's a monk, probably just trained at Shaolin or an affiliated school. One in tens of thousands.. they even train foreigners at these same Shaolin schools.. Real Shaolin monks don't have any ambition to be famous/rich/materialistic or to fight in MMA/pro fighting or even fighting in general..
They do the opposite actually and avoid fighting unless they need it for self defense and there's no other option like to run away.. Hurting others for fame/money is the complete opposite of Chinese or Shaolin philosophy and what monks believe and teach.
Shaolin itself would not support such actions and no current Shaolin monk would be allowed to or even want to fight professionally even if they were allowed since it goes against all their teachings and philosophy.
He isn't a Shaolin monk, he is Shaolin trained. There is q huge difference.
Thanks Shaolin monk.
兩位都很辛苦加油加油
没错,但是谢纬更令人印象深刻!
I've never seen such masterclass of takedown defense.
The video atleast has 15+ Agasa attempted takedowns and it goes to nothing
He got that chi gong power
Kung fu and shaoling training teach you tools and makes you familiarise with them through "choreographies", it is the student's responsibility and creativity to use them as they should be effectively
U look at xie then u know what are those mabu (horse stance) training for 😊

Xie is incredible, I agree.

Crazy. Like the way he fights.
I'd love to hear the backstory of this main character.
Agasa had to fight this monster for 30 minutes 😅 poor guy probably felt like WW2 vets from Normandy Beach
A little grappling and the monk is unbeatable. Grappling. If you are weak at Grappling it is a tough evening.
Woww nguyen vs Xie best fight omg😮
Are they really in the same weight class? All of his opponents seem to have much thicker arms than Xie.
This guy is hella impressive!
I see a lot of wasted energy from Agasa, while Xie is calm and collected, never letting his opponent get the upper hand.
Xie Wei tried to pull a Rampage slam. All heavy hitters try to do that.
Its cool that they live up to the legends
