To be fair, I prefer the historical games much more than random competitive games, they are more enjoyable and less about who wins and what spam you can bring and more about having fun and enjoying the game. Glad you liked it, and thanks for the comment 👍🏻
@@theministryofminiaturesfully agreed. Played one tourney and never again. One of my tourney opponents rolled up with 3 heavy autocannons with fortifications, and 3 panzer Ib s with dual MMGs. Zero enjoyment in playing against that BS list. This is definately the better way to play this game.
Wonderful, clean game once again gents! Excellent table, really gives a proper Normandy vibe. Very little errors that I could detect. I do feel sorry for Mark though, his rolls got ice cold.. I was hoping to see his quad cannon in action, that's a fearful beast. Thanks again for sharing this, I'm looking forward to your next release!
Thank you, we did get a couple of bits wrong, not that it impacted the outcome of the game, but sometimes is hard to remember when you’re having fun and trying to un-remember version 2 whilst filming ! Glad you enjoyed it, we did and looking forward to more games soon, along with another Eastern Front campaign battle 👍🏻
Ah yes, but I don’t think they actually got a chance to move which would’ve meant that they must go back into cohesion… the rules say that they must correct this the next time they move… which they couldn’t with so many pins 😂. They probably would have died quicker without them staying down with their order 😁😂👍🏻
minute 19:00 - page 102, when a spotter has no order dice next to him, he gets auto "down" cover next to the soft/hard cover. He would have died any way with his roll of a 1 and a 2... 🙂
3rd ed rules seem to have lost 'something' in my opinion. Feels more 'gamey' somehow (yeah, I know it's a game). Can't quite put my finger on it though.
Having played a few games now, I do get what you mean, however on the whole I really like the new rules… a lot less working out and mostly feels better… now, the main issue will be with how you play the game. We have agreed that each game will either be played as historical or gamey… that way the armies will be appropriate for the game and against each other. The next game against Rick he wants to take cheese, so multiple mortars and MRL, which I don’t like the thought of, but it is a game and he likes his toys n cheese! Hopefully you will find an opponent who likes more historical armies and can play that way. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
That is correct, but Mark ran out of time and couldn’t see a way to get me off of the base, so agreed to concede. Hope this helps, thought it was easier that way.
v3 really sucks. i played 4 games so far and its all about armored vehicles and anti-tank. if you dont have enough AT, you lost. thats basicly all this game is about now. stoopid infantry cant do anything except get shredded and not damage all the armored vehicles. every game was decided on turn 3, because one side had no more AT and then the other players vehicles could free-roam and shred everything. what a terrible joke
@@cobruh836sorry you didn’t like it, George in our group doesn’t like it either, so we always play different games altogether with him. I guess you could stick to 2nd Edition, or maybe try Chain of Command - I have played a few games of that and it is a well balanced game. Thanks for the comment though and sorry you didn’t enjoy the game.
It’s fine, I didn’t, as I said George in our group doesn’t like it either, and my gaming club don’t… so I just play different games with them. One thing I do think will help is deciding beforehand whether the game will be ‘historic’ or cheese… the ability to spam with the new rules can lead to an unbalanced game… however by choosing to look at historical battles and the forces involved really helps. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
@@theministryofminiatures yeah my dudes and i came to the same conclusion, we have to force more house rules and/or be very strict with how the matches are going to be set up. otherwise its a complete mess.
I gotta say- these historical battles are 10x more interesting then random mishmash units. Great job!

@jandoernte3312 ouch! That’s why I don’t play competitive tournaments…
Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
great thematic game thx for posting
Thank you, it was an enjoyable game, and I am happy to be able to share it 👍🏻
My Friends across the pond! Another great video, and as always enjoyed it. Keep them coming , and look forward always to the great games and content.
Thank you for your great feedback and for leaving such a positive comment. There are plenty more battle reports on the way 👍🏻

Beautiful table! I really like the Micro Art Studio buildings. Great game, gents!
Thank you 👍🏻
Thanks Gents, love terrain on these games👍
Thank you - we are liking the new rules and hoping to get lots more games in 👍🏻, thanks again.
Love the terrain, can I ask where it is from?
Thank you 👍🏻
Most of the buildings are from Micro Arts Studio on Warlord Games website: collabs.shop/hdgypc
Great game but Brits in courtyard broke cohesion rules!

Thanks 👍🏻 with Mark rolling a 1 he was definitely gone no matter 😁
Enjoyable video so far but im afraid the constantly moving camera was making me queasy.
Ah sorry… I film everything on my mobile phone, so am restricted to having it in my hand whilst playing.

@@theministryofminiatures I have indeed painted up a couple more toys for my Germans!
I had no doubt! Interested to see what you will throw at me!
He vs buildings you don’t get cover saves
Yes that is correct… for some reason we forgot about that! But fortunately it didn’t change the outcome of the battle… keep away from buildings!
