You attempt the incorrect code 3 times and then it will give you the number.

@@katwill9251 it won't matter. The inquiry number comes directly off the switch and you just use the email you want the code sent to.

Could be the country you are in exclusively has serial numbers for that region. Try typing in the serial number one more time just in case it was typed in incorrectly. Otherwise you will need to do it the manual way by calling Nintendo. Good luck 🤞
