I see that there are a lot of comments on the other members, so I’ll post one on Jimin. He has an amazing voice, huge vocal range, one of the most unique voices I’ve ever heard, is an amazing dancer (which you didn’t get to see here) - with the most range in dance in the group as well. He’s also an adorable person with a huge heart who radiates love and comfort. The rap line are the most prolific in writing their own music, but our Jimin has written quite a few songs now. He has lyric and composing credits on all but 1 of the songs on his debut album which came out this year, along with playing the keyboards on one song and the guitar on another. His solo work this year has ranged from a beautiful OST duet used on the TV show Our Blues, to an iconic duet with Taeyang from Big Bang called Vibe, as well as a heart felt letter to ARMY that you can see in a live clip called Dear Army, to an OST called Angel pt 1 for the latest Fast & Furious movie, and of course his debut album. But you should really watch the pre-release MV for Set Me Free Pt 2, it will blow you away as performance art, and you will be quite surprised after you saw Like Crazy. It is still my favorite MV of all of the solo work, I can watch it over and over, with Yoongi’s Amygdala and Haegeum a close 2nd. Both of Yoongi’s are tough for me to watch, too much violence in the 2nd and the 1st is just mentally intense, although I do love them both. Jimin is very much a quality over quantity, so fewer songs, but every one a gem and I’ve loved watching him grow so much with really owning his debut album. It’s a very personal album and it’s what I want out of music, something that is special, comes from the soul and heart, has a message with good lyrics, a good melody, and means something. YMMV. I’m not a fan of mass produced, catchy, but ultimately boring and easily forgotten Western style music that may top the charts for a long time but is just an ear worm, so when I love a piece of music, it’s not going to be that. BTW, I’m not saying I don’t love RM’s and J-Hope’s albums, they meet my criteria for excellent music. More absolutely blew me away and that whole album is amazing - watch his Lollapalooza concert, I saw it in person and it was one of the best concerts of my life. RM’s album is the most intellectually stimulating album I’ve experienced in years. It’s very RM, as J-Hope’s is very J-Hope, Jimin’s very Jimin (Jimin’s solo work is so diverse, I expected his album to be something experimental and it is), and really all the member’s solo music this year is very much them. Yoongi’s is really special, really intense. I won’t go into all the members here because it will be 6 pages long. I hope you also check out BTS’ music. honestly, they are the best group I’ve heard and their music meets my criteria and beyond.
I’m getting from your comment that Jimin didn’t get as much attention as the other members. I don’t know why or what this guy watched of Jimin’s but it must not be Jimin’s music video’s from Like Crazy or Set me Free part two. We all know how amazing Jimin is and he’s a favorite of a lot of Vocal coaches. With his unique voice and color of his voice. His incredible range Luik you said. His dancing is at the level of MJ. He mesmerizes me when I watch him dance and he’s so good. I’ve never had a bias since I discovered BTS. Finally Jimin is my bias but I’ve always been OT7 for years. You just ca t talk about Jimin and get his beauty as a dancer and sunger. He deserves more. Anyways, that’s all I have to say except I’m not sure how he picked what to watch. I don't know if anyone mentioned that J Hope headlined at Lollapalooza 2023. He was given the last day (Sunday) which tends to be a slower day but he had one of the largest crowds ever recorded at this event. He blew it out of the water!!! People say this a lot, but BTS is different than other kpop groups. Their songs have deep meanings and powerful messages and as you may noticed, they cover a lot of genres. I would love if you'd react to "UGH" by the BTS rapline and the expanation to it from dkdktv. Much love 💜
So happy hearing you appreciate Jin's lovely silver voice! What new reactors don't realize is that The Astronaut is in a lower register than he usually sings. It surprised ARMY momentarily, but noobs (I say affectionately!) expect this is how he usually sounds because this is all they've heard so far. Well, our guys are multifaceted and have been developing their skills for over 10 years, so it takes a while to get to know them. That's part of the fun of exploring BTS. Min Yoon-gi in known in BTS as SUGA - pronounced like sugar with no 'R' - which references the position he played in his school basketball team: SHOOting GAurd. He wanted an alternate name for his solo work, so he spelled SUGA backward, then added DT, for Daegu Town - backward - to get Agust D. J-hope is known as the "Sunshine" of BTS, being a great encourager, positive person, source of group energy. His smile is downright beautiful! So here we see again a different side than what we usually saw during 10 years of group work. Whenever you hear, "I'm still life!" in RM's song, that's Anderson Paak. Later you hear the 2 of them talking together. RM said he likes the way Anderson's voice gave it that sound of, "I'm still alive!" RM is big on wordplay and double entendre. He does lots of collaborative work, joining others on their projects, or asking them to join his projects. Jimin's voice is quite unique, both sweet and strong, and you got a good taste of that in this song. You should see him dance. I suggest his performance of Like Crazy on The Tonight Show, where he sings an alternate version in English: ruclips.net/video/GXevNfUAtIs/видео.html V loves RnB, so he decided to run with that in his recent solo work. His baritone voice lends an extra dimension to BTS songs that many groups don't have. By turns he can be smoothly glamorous, then disarmingly free and childlike, then enigmatic, but he is always naturally charming. Jungkook's song was a great introduction to his beautiful voice, as well as his reputation for enjoying doing stunts! He sings most of the ad libs and many harmonies in their group songs. BTS has lots of genres and styles to choose from, and this was a good start!
So every member is capable of having a highly successful solo career and the fact that they are so different in their musicality yet come together in BTS to make such awesome music is amazing. They all love and support each other with their solo projects and I cant wait till they are all back together in 2025. 3 World class rappers all with different flows and 4 world class vocalists that all have different feels and sounds.

Your sister would have told you that they are doing solo projects currently as they are on hiatus as a group and that they are all going to be serving compulsory military duty until some time in 2025 when they will unite again as BTS . Jimin with 90's style UK garage pop number eg genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house, but also incorporates elements from dance-pop, R&B, and jungle. Jimin whole album is about his thoughts, fear and feeling in the Covid period. He also watched the Film 'Crazy' quite a bit and admits it was a hard time mentally for him and he drank a bit more than he normally would.
Both RM and Suga (Agust D) were part of the undergound Hip hop scene as Rappers, Suga (aka Agust D) also as a producer this was before either of them were BTS. J Hope joined them as a Dancer but as he was around them he learnt to Rap even battle rapping in and learnt to write lyric and quickly learnt to Produce as well. The 3 of them are the BackBone of BTS and the 4 vocalist learnt from them and also all have writing, composing and producing credits each to a greater or lesser degree.
The Avengers of Kpop. Such wildly different styles but what a powerhouse group. j-hope is my personal favorite and this song MORE was a surprising departure from his previous work. He's known for his versatility (while maintaining a very well-defined and unique brand) and he's a true Ace of kpop: masterful rapper, dance prodigy (he's the Dance Leader of BTS), the best performer in the industry (fact, not opinion), a beautiful singer and subvocalist for the group, a writer with 138 credits to his name and an incredibly strong pen game, a producer with some of BTS' most timeless hits to his name, a composer responsible for many catchy melodies, and, though less relevant to music, an excellent model. He's our Golden Hyung and he makes us all very proud!
Actually, the super group from SM Entertainment called Super M debuted as The Avengers of KPop in 2019 and still go by that name. I understand why you would call BTS The Avengers of KPop but it is incorrect.

Jin 'Astronaut" with Cold Play. I agree, he has a lovely voice. It's perfect for ballads of all genres. The live performance in Brazil with Cold Play, which was his farewell before joining the S Korean military, was a tearjerker. The reason for all these solo projects is that each of them have mandatory service coming up. It's their opportunity to showcase their unique styles outside of BTS as a group.
Welcome to the world of BTS. I first saw them in 2017 at the AMA and haven't found anyone better since. They are 7 talented individuals who together forms the super group BTS! Some groups have one or two members that sticks out, BTS has 7 of them!

Nice reaction. We love all 7 of them, but some of us do have biases, which just means that there might be one or more members we gravitate a bit more towards. My biases are Jimin and Suga (Agust D). BTW, I don't know if your sister told you, or if she knows but The Astronaut is a song for ARMYs (BTS fans) from Jin co-written by both Jin and Chris Martin of Coldplay (You can also hear Chris Martin's voice a few times in the video and he even has a cameo in it as the newsreader on the television) to say goodbye to us before he went to the military (All South Korean males have to go to the military for two years) In the video, Jin is an alien that got stranded on earth. The little girl he's with represents ARMYs. It's a heartwarming song and it made his departure a little bit easier for us. Agust D is the solo alterego of Suga (that's his BTS name) and is Suga backwards 'agus' and the t and D stand for Daegu town, the city he's from. You kind of say it like 'August' and the D is just D. He played two roles in the video. Him with the wavy hair who killed the guy with just chopsticks is kind of like a social misfit I guess who goes against the norm, whereas him with the slicked back hair and the scar is a corrupt higher up in the police. This video is actually the second video in a trilogy (Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala) It has a lot of similarities with Daechwita. And the scar is a recurring thing in all three videos. I'm not going to spoil anything about it though.

I'm happy you met my boys (I adopted them as my grandsons during the pandemic). As a suggestion for another group: Forestella. They are a cross over S Korean group (4). Crossover from Opera into classic and Pop. Bohemian Rhapsody seems to be the song that captures the hearts and minds of music lovers. Bass, Baritone, Tenor, and Countertenor. They debuted in 2018.
That's Chris Martin of Coldplay on the TV in the MV. Jin asked Coldplay to write a song for him as they are great friends. It's Jin saying see you later to us as he was about to start his military service all the 7 members are dropping their solo work before they enter the military. They are regroup in 2025 when everyone's back from their military duty. Jin went in first and will be out first and then he'll have some time to drop his solo album before the other's re join him.
Haegeum has 2 meanings (A) a Traditional 2 stringed Koren instrument played with a bow and (B) To lift a ban off something prohibited and /or a social/cultural Taboo. One of which is in the MV eg a Kpop Member smoking Kpop Idol's are not 'supposed to Smoke' and hell is let loose if one is caught smoking however BTS members do not follow Kpop norms and rules. Suga(aka agust D is one of 3 Rappers of BTS and one of the 3 main song writers and the main Producer of BTS in fact he's an award winning Producer. Oh and he wrote the storyboard for his MV,. This track in the 2rd in a trilogy of 3 songs. The first one is on his previous Solo album D-2 the finale track 'Amygdala' is on this ablum D-Day with this Song.
Jungkook. The baby of the group. He was 15 when they debuted in 2013. He rapped at that time as well as sang lead. He's considered the all rounder of the group. He is physically the strongest. And he has the Pop song edge to his style. And yes, he sounds like this when they do Karaoke.

V. A whole different vibe. As you know by now. He was recruited by "accident". He went with a friend to the Big Hit auditions in his hometown. He did not plan on auditioning but someone liked his look so he ended up showing off his various talents. He wasn't revealed as a member of BTS until their debut on stage. He is considered quirky. And has shown his talent in a S Korean drama called "Hwang, The Poet Warrior" and a reality show "Jinny's Kitchen".
Agust D is pronounced August, like the month. But Agust D is only the name he goes by for his solo music. When he’s with BTS he goes by Suga, and when he’s with his parents he goes by Min Yoongi. Anderson Paak is an American artist who is half African American and half Korean. (Hence the name Paak, which is a common Korean last name usually spelled Park in English but is pronounced like the British would say “going to the park,” like the r was silent) he is in the band Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars.
I think the astronaut is my favorite song from jin at the end when he says, I love you and always makes my heart smile when he says that word he really loves his army very much and honestly I can’t wait for him to come back home from the military. He’s got a got a voice and a good heart, and he sings like an angel. 💜

You tan tell them as solo artists are so different and their voices are pretty distinct and unique. I love them so much! I still don't understand how tf they are on the same group but it works, their synergy is just on another whole level and no wonder why their discography is so diverse + each member is pretty involve in the process of making their own music (especially the rap line) and what they what to express or the message they want to give. After more than three years listening to BTS every single day, I can assure you that they are no Kpop. I mean, there are a lot of good artists in Kpop, I like some, but after listening to some songs, they all, at least to me, become boring. On the other hand, I have a playlist that lasts hours just with BTS songs. RM came from underground rap. His earlier style was hard, like Suga's. I prefer this softer side. I listen to the entire album when I need to relax. I don't know if that's a good recommendation coming from someone as old as I am. But it is what it is. Anderson Paak works with Bruno Mars as Silk Sonic.
V has a soulful voice and he has a big vocal range. His whole album played in order tells a story. He's a lover of Jazz which he was introduced to when he learnt to play the Saxophone. He's has a soulful, R&B sound.

He is from Daegu thus the "D". Agust D is backwards for Daegu Town Suga. PS Was underground rapper before joining Big Hit as a producer then becoming a member of BTS.
Agust D "Haegeum" has a resemblance to Daechwita. Intentional. It's part of a trilogy. You enjoyed Haegeum, you'll enjoy Daechwita. "Daechwita" is traditional music announcing the King's arrival. Debate is ongoing which other song is part of the triogy. Is it an earlier one or is it Amygdala.

Well 2 of the Rappers were part of the underground Hip Hop scene as Rappers eg RM and Suga(aka Agust D) who is also an award winning Producer for another artist from another company. All 3 Rappers are Rapper not Idol Rapper who are only Rapper because they can't sing and don't even write their own Lyrics. The BTS Rappers are the best in the Business.

As a side note, BTS did not really start Kpop. BTS is known as 3rd generation. My daughters (early 30's ) started listening to Kpop 2010 with Big Bang. (2nd gen) 1st gen is around late 1990's. I see that there are a lot of comments on the other members, so I’ll post one on Jimin. He has an amazing voice, huge vocal range, one of the most unique voices I’ve ever heard, is an amazing dancer (which you didn’t get to see here) - with the most range in dance in the group as well. He’s also an adorable person with a huge heart who radiates love and comfort. The rap line are the most prolific in writing their own music, but our Jimin has written quite a few songs now. He has lyric and composing credits on all but 1 of the songs on his debut album which came out this year, along with playing the keyboards on one song and the guitar on another. His solo work this year has ranged from a beautiful OST duet used on the TV show Our Blues, to an iconic duet with Taeyang from Big Bang called Vibe, as well as a heart felt letter to ARMY that you can see in a live clip called Dear Army, to an OST called Angel pt 1 for the latest Fast & Furious movie, and of course his debut album. But you should really watch the pre-release MV for Set Me Free Pt 2, it will blow you away as performance art, and you will be quite surprised after you saw Like Crazy. It is still my favorite MV of all of the solo work, I can watch it over and over, with Yoongi’s Amygdala and Haegeum a close 2nd. Both of Yoongi’s are tough for me to watch, too much violence in the 2nd and the 1st is just mentally intense, although I do love them both. Jimin is very much a quality over quantity, so fewer songs, but every one a gem and I’ve loved watching him grow so much with really owning his debut album. It’s a very personal album and it’s what I want out of music, something that is special, comes from the soul and heart, has a message with good lyrics, a good melody, and means something. YMMV. I’m not a fan of mass produced, catchy, but ultimately boring and easily forgotten Western style music that may top the charts for a long time but is just an ear worm, so when I love a piece of music, it’s not going to be that. BTW, I’m not saying I don’t love RM’s and J-Hope’s albums, they meet my criteria for excellent music. More absolutely blew me away and that whole album is amazing - watch his Lollapalooza concert, I saw it in person and it was one of the best concerts of my life. RM’s album is the most intellectually stimulating album I’ve experienced in years. It’s very RM, as J-Hope’s is very J-Hope, Jimin’s very Jimin (Jimin’s solo work is so diverse, I expected his album to be something experimental and it is), and really all the member’s solo music this year is very much them. Yoongi’s is really special, really intense. I won’t go into all the members here because it will be 6 pages long. I hope you also check out BTS’ music. honestly, they are the best group I’ve heard and their music meets my criteria and beyond.

I don’t know why or what this guy watched of Jimin’s but it must not be Jimin’s music video’s from Like Crazy or Set me Free part two. We all know how amazing Jimin is and he’s a favorite of a lot of Vocal coaches. With his unique voice and color of his voice. His incredible range Luik you said. His dancing is at the level of MJ. He mesmerizes me when I watch him dance and he’s so good. I’ve never had a bias since I discovered BTS. Finally Jimin is my bias but I’ve always been OT7 for years. People say this a lot, but BTS is different than other kpop groups. Their songs have deep meanings and powerful messages and as you may noticed, they cover a lot of genres. I would love if you'd react to "UGH" by the BTS rapline and the expanation to it from dkdktv. Much love 💜

It surprised ARMY momentarily, but noobs (I say affectionately!) expect this is how he usually sounds because this is all they've heard so far. Min Yoon-gi in known in BTS as SUGA - pronounced like sugar with no 'R' - which references the position he played in his school basketball team: SHOOting GAurd. He wanted an alternate name for his solo work, so he spelled SUGA backward, then added DT, for Daegu Town - backward - to get Agust D.
J-hope is known as the "Sunshine" of BTS, being a great encourager, positive person, source of group energy. His smile is downright beautiful! So here we see again a different side than what we usually saw during 10 years of group work.
Whenever you hear, "I'm still life!" in RM's song, that's Anderson Paak. Later you hear the 2 of them talking together. RM said he likes the way Anderson's voice gave it that sound of, "I'm still alive!" RM is big on wordplay and double entendre. He does lots of collaborative work, joining others on their projects, or asking them to join his projects.
Jimin's voice is quite unique, both sweet and strong, and you got a good taste of that in this song. You should see him dance. I suggest his performance of Like Crazy on The Tonight Show, where he sings an alternate version in English:

V loves RnB, so he decided to run with that in his recent solo work. His baritone voice lends an extra dimension to BTS songs that many groups don't have. By turns he can be smoothly glamorous, then disarmingly free and childlike, then enigmatic, but he is always naturally charming.
Jungkook's song was a great introduction to his beautiful voice, as well as his reputation for enjoying doing stunts! He sings most of the ad libs and many harmonies in their group songs.
BTS has lots of genres and styles to choose from, and this was a good start!
So every member is capable of having a highly successful solo career and the fact that they are so different in their musicality yet come together in BTS to make such awesome music is amazing. Your sister would have told you that they are doing solo projects currently as they are on hiatus as a group and that they are all going to be serving compulsory military duty until some time in 2025 when they will unite again as BTS . They are not your usual k pop band and you will see why when you watch their group songs. These men each bring someone special to the group and you will see it during their music videos. Jimin with 90's style UK garage pop number eg genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house, but also incorporates elements from dance-pop, R&B, and jungle.
Jimin whole album is about his thoughts, fear and feeling in the Covid period. He also watched the Film 'Crazy' quite a bit and admits it was a hard time mentally for him and he drank a bit more than he normally would.
Both RM and Suga (Agust D) were part of the undergound Hip hop scene as Rappers, Suga (aka Agust D) also as a producer this was before either of them were BTS. J Hope joined them as a Dancer but as he was around them he learnt to Rap even battle rapping in and learnt to write lyric and quickly learnt to Produce as well. The Avengers of Kpop. Such wildly different styles but what a powerhouse group. j-hope is my personal favorite and this song MORE was a surprising departure from his previous work. He's known for his versatility (while maintaining a very well-defined and unique brand) and he's a true Ace of kpop: masterful rapper, dance prodigy (he's the Dance Leader of BTS), the best performer in the industry (fact, not opinion), a beautiful singer and subvocalist for the group, a writer with 138 credits to his name and an incredibly strong pen game, a producer with some of BTS' most timeless hits to his name, a composer responsible for many catchy melodies, and, though less relevant to music, an excellent model. He's our Golden Hyung and he makes us all very proud!
Actually, the super group from SM Entertainment called Super M debuted as The Avengers of KPop in 2019 and still go by that name. I understand why you would call BTS The Avengers of KPop but it is incorrect.

Jin 'Astronaut" with Cold Play. I agree, he has a lovely voice. It's perfect for ballads of all genres. The live performance in Brazil with Cold Play, which was his farewell before joining the S Korean military, was a tearjerker.
The reason for all these solo projects is that each of them have mandatory service coming up. It's their opportunity to showcase their unique styles outside of BTS as a group.

Welcome to the world of BTS. I first saw them in 2017 at the AMA and haven't found anyone better since. They are 7 talented individuals who together forms the super group BTS! Some groups have one or two members that sticks out, BTS has 7 of them!

BTW, I don't know if your sister told you, or if she knows but The Astronaut is a song for ARMYs (BTS fans) from Jin co-written by both Jin and Chris Martin of Coldplay (You can also hear Chris Martin's voice a few times in the video and he even has a cameo in it as the newsreader on the television) to say goodbye to us before he went to the military (All South Korean males have to go to the military for two years) In the video, Jin is an alien that got stranded on earth. The little girl he's with represents ARMYs. It's a heartwarming song and it made his departure a little bit easier for us.
Agust D is the solo alterego of Suga (that's his BTS name) and is Suga backwards 'agus' and the t and D stand for Daegu town, the city he's from. You kind of say it like 'August' and the D is just D. He played two roles in the video. Him with the wavy hair who killed the guy with just chopsticks is kind of like a social misfit I guess who goes against the norm, whereas him with the slicked back hair and the scar is a corrupt higher up in the police. This video is actually the second video in a trilogy (Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala) It has a lot of similarities with Daechwita. And the scar is a recurring thing in all three videos. I'm not going to spoil anything about it though.

I'm happy you met my boys (I adopted them as my grandsons during the pandemic). As a suggestion for another group: Forestella. They are a cross over S Korean group (4). Crossover from Opera into classic and Pop. Bohemian Rhapsody seems to be the song that captures the hearts and minds of music lovers. Bass, Baritone, Tenor, and Countertenor. They debuted in 2018.
That's Chris Martin of Coldplay on the TV in the MV. Jin asked Coldplay to write a song for him as they are great friends. It's Jin saying see you later to us as he was about to start his military service all the 7 members are dropping their solo work before they enter the military. They are regroup in 2025 when everyone's back from their military duty. Jin went in first and will be out first and then he'll have some time to drop his solo album before the other's re join him.

Haegeum has 2 meanings (A) a Traditional 2 stringed Koren instrument played with a bow and (B) To lift a ban off something prohibited and /or a social/cultural Taboo. One of which is in the MV eg a Kpop Member smoking Kpop Idol's are not 'supposed to Smoke' and hell is let loose if one is caught smoking however BTS members do not follow Kpop norms and rules. Suga(aka agust D is one of 3 Rappers of BTS and one of the 3 main song writers and the main Producer of BTS in fact he's an award winning Producer. Oh and he wrote the storyboard for his MV,. V. A whole different vibe. As you know by now. He was recruited by "accident". He went with a friend to the Big Hit auditions in his hometown. He did not plan on auditioning but someone liked his look so he ended up showing off his various talents. He wasn't revealed as a member of BTS until their debut on stage. He is considered quirky. And has shown his talent in a S Korean drama called "Hwang, The Poet Warrior" and a reality show "Jinny's Kitchen".
Agust D is pronounced August, like the month. But Agust D is only the name he goes by for his solo music. When he’s with BTS he goes by Suga, and when he’s with his parents he goes by Min Yoongi.
Anderson Paak is an American artist who is half African American and half Korean. (Hence the name Paak, which is a common Korean last name usually spelled Park in English but is pronounced like the British would say “going to the park,” like the r was silent) he is in the band Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars.

Just so you know, even though they are Kpop because they are Korean snd sing pop, they’re not Kpop. They are BTS and their own genre. They are unique and cannot be compared to other groups. (No diss meant to other Kpop groups). But BTS are so special and utterly their own that they have to be placed in a category of their own.
Their songwriting, production, singing, rapping, dancing, etc. is beyond other artists - as a group and individually!!! Enjoy them!!!!

After more than three years listening to BTS every single day, I can assure you that they are no Kpop. I mean, there are a lot of good artists in Kpop, I like some, but after listening to some songs, they all, at least to me, become boring. On the other hand, I have a playlist that lasts hours just with BTS songs. Diversity is their name! and sympathy, humbleness, inner and external beauty, etc etc etc.
I'm an old woman (66yo), believe me, I have a good and ecletic taste... BTS brought back my happiness listening to good music!

Agust D is pronounced in USA like the Fall weather, August. His BTS stage name is Suga (short for shooting guard, his favorite position as a basketball player). Shu gah. He is from Daegu thus the "D". Agust D is backwards for Daegu Town Suga.
PS Was underground rapper before joining Big Hit as a producer then becoming a member of BTS.
Agust D "Haegeum" has a resemblance to Daechwita. Intentional. It's part of a trilogy. You enjoyed Haegeum, you'll enjoy Daechwita. "Daechwita" is traditional music announcing the King's arrival. Debate is ongoing which other song is part of the triogy. Is it an earlier one or is it Amygdala.
Officially, and according to Yoongi’s own words about the order he would like people to watch them in, it’s Amygdala.
Agust D type of song is actually unique too but the dude made a trend with Korean instruments so all the younger groups specially with rappers do music like using Korean instruments

I'm not sure how much you know about Min YoonGi aka Suga/AugstD.... I hope the following info might be of interest to you.
He began writing music lyrics and working with MIDI at age 11 and held a part-time job composing and arranging music at a recording studio at age 16.
Active under the name "Gloss" (wordplay on his name YoonGi, which means "to shine") as an underground rapper in his hometown Daegu, He originally entered Big Hit Entertainment as a producer at age 17 and became the second member to join BTS..... At BTS debut in 2013 he was 20 y.o.... he is one of BTSs main producers/songwriters/composers and has over 150 song copyrights.... he also produces for other artists and has won awards for his work.
Suga (SHU-GA.... from Shooting Guard - the position he played in basketball) ...... AgustD = SUGA + DT (Daegu Town - his hometown) Spelt Backwards

Between his commitments as a member of BTS, Suga/Agust D took advantage of time on the plane and in hotel rooms after concerts to continuously produce and compose music.
In an interview for Grazia Korea, Suga/Agust D expressed a desire to release the music he wanted to do without having to consider popular appeal or music ranking. He intended to release his music for free in the form of a mixtape to avoid such considerations, commenting that an album "has a feeling of being trapped in some sort of framework" due to the need for company involvement in promotion and advertising. He has released 2 mixtapes - this is his first official album (of which he continues to maintain full creative control)
Developing Agust D musically on the base of hip hop, much of Agust D's inspiration for the lyrics came from his own stories of dream, youth, and reality. In order to differentiate his work from that of his work as Suga, he developed the alter ego "Agust D".
Haegeum has 2 meanings...1. it is a Korean traditional musical instrument with 2 strings and.... 2. to lift a ban/to free what was restricted.
This is the middle song in a trilogy..... He is a master storyteller.... a fellow army best explained the trilogy as -
Daechwita... ridding himself of the need to prove his worth to others
Haegeum... ridding himself of the confines of modern society
Amygdala... he investigates the inner demons and trauma that started his confinement in the first place.
Suga/AgustD was involved in all aspects of this song and music video and had great input into how the music video was designed/produced (working as usual with Director Lumpens (Choi YongSeok) who does most BTS MVs) -
Yoongi wrote, composed and produced the song, he conceptualised the MV and had creative control.... he is a true genius.

*Jin - (10/2023) The Astronaut with Coldplay* Solo Single. The little girl in the MV represents BTS ARMY. It was a song to BTS ARMY before he enlisted for his Mandatory Military service.

*SUGA aka Agust D - (4/20/2023) Haegeum* The title track from his album D-Day Released April 21, 2023. Agust D is pronounced just like the month. He went on a very successful world tour after his album release, and his enlistment for his mandatory military service was announced right after he completed his final concert.
*Haegeum* - has two meanings. The first, it's a traditional Korean string instrument, resembling a vertical fiddle with two strings, usually played at Royal Court. Also, it means to lift a ban, or release what is forbidden.
Suga was the third member to enlist in the military.
(SUGA Enlisted September 22, 2023; and he will be released June 21st, 2025)
*J-Hope - More (June 30, 2022)* This is his pre-release from his album Jack In The Box, which was released on July 15, 2022. He performed as the first Korean Soloist to headline at a major music festival in the USA. He performed at Lollapalooza on July 31, 2022, where he sold out that night in Chicago, to a crowd of over 100,000. He was the second member to enlist in the military for his mandatory Military Service.
(J-Hope Enlisted April 18, 2023; and he will be released October 17, 2024)
*RM - Still Life (December 6, 2022)* This was a follow up song from his album INDIGO, which was released December 2, 2022. The title track, Wild Flower, was released on the same day as the album. RM has not enlisted yet, and he is still working on more music. RM is the leader and main rapper of BTS. He is expected to be enlisted by the end of 2023.
*JIMIN - Like Crazy (March 23, 2023)* This was his title track for his Album (EP) FACE, released March 23, 2023. This song topped the Billboard Hot 100 at #1. He was the first Korean solo artist to reach BB Hot 100 #1. As well on His Album reaching the top of other BB charts. Jimin is a main dancer and lead vocalist for BTS. He has not enlisted yet, but is expected to by the end of 2023. You should check out his live performance or dance practice for this song, The choreography is awesome.
*V - Love Me Again (August 9, 2023)* This was 1 of 2 pre-releases for his album EP LAYOVER, released September 8, 2023. He has 5 songs and a piano version of his title track Slow Dancing. So six tracks total. There are 5 total music videos and many live performances of all his songs on this album. I recommend the Tiny Desk Korea concert. You will love it. V is also going to be enlisting at the end of 2023.
*Jungkook - Seven (July 13, 2023)* This was his first solo single release out of 2, and he is releasing his solo album Golden on November 2, 2023. I have already preordered my copies, and I'm excited to get it. Jungkook is the Main Vocalist of BTS, and he also is a Lead Dancer, and the Center.
He will also be releasing his title track MV called Standing Next To You, on the same day as the album release. You might want to check out his Performance video of SEVEN(Explicit version), and his second single MV 3D with Jack Harlow. The Dance Practice would be good to check out too. Jungkook will also be enlisting at the end of 2023.
What kind of music do you like? Do you like ballads, EDM, rap etc. I think what most people do is start at the very beginning of their career in 2013. Live performances are preferable . But it’s completely up to you to decide how you want to explore BTS. You will hear about a couple of documentaries too. Anyways, enjoy your journey.

Well 2 of the Rappers were part of the underground Hip Hop scene as Rappers eg RM and Suga(aka Agust D) who is also an award winning Producer for another artist from another company. All 3 Rappers are Rapper not Idol Rapper who are only Rapper because they can't sing and don't even write their own Lyrics. The BTS Rappers are the best in the Business.

Wow! You just jumped right in. Impressive. If you have not been told you need to watch Taylor's Guide to Bangtan 7, it will give you a lot of information on each member , the group and Army. As a side note, BTS did not really start Kpop. BTS is known as 3rd generation. My daughters (early 30's ) started listening to Kpop 2010 with Big Bang. (2nd gen) 1st gen is around late 1990's. BTS admires groups like Big Bang ( Jimin feat on Taeyang song Vibe (with Big Bang his idol). BTS is known for having a lot of first though in the industry probably more than any group before them and since. Also, watch the making of the mv is always a good way to getting info. Army will give you lots of help along your journey, known as the rabbit hole. You have 10 years of info. Yes, you are correct, a persons Bias is who they connect with most, is how i look at it. A lot of Army is OT7 which is a term used to loving and respecting all seven members of bts . There are many terms to learn. Welcome. 💜
