Very cute rompers:) I've never sewn one but I know sometimes pattern instructions aren't the clearest, lol. Most times I have to re-read certain parts to make sure I'm doing it right.
I wonder if someone can please explain how to sew step 1 the bias casing ? I know this post is 6 years already but maybe someone in the comments have tried and now knows. Holding thumbs!
Very cute rompers. I haven't used this pattern but I have to agree that in general printed pattern instructions are awful. I'm just getting back into the sewing after a break of about 20 years, I can't believe that they haven't improved in that time. Thank goodness for RUclips. Thanks for posting the review, I'll try the pattern when my granddaughter is older.
Just bought this pattern and was looking at directions and yes, they were as you said! However, when it said “narrow hem long edges of pants ruffle,I was confused but…LOL if you change “long” to “along” it makes more sense! (As in “Narrow hem along edges of…”!) English must not have been the writers first language! (Or they didn’t know how to sew!) just over here giggling to myself!
I have been sewing for a long time and still look at the instructions, just because I am a perfectionist when it comes to sewing. When I first started sewing I would not understand certain things. I was lucky because I had home ec and the teacher helped. My mom also sewed so when I couldn't understand, I would go to my mom.
I have a question about the romper. How easy is it to put on? I am making the size 2, and it will need to go over a diaper. Is the neck hole stretchy enough to pull up feet first?
I was totally confused when it came you sewing the bias tape. Was i supposed to put bias tape around the whole armhole or only the part that did not have the sleeve on it.
I’m working on this romper as a birthday outfit for my kiddo; this info was very helpful, thank you!

I was hopping you would show how to sew it. I’m lost in the same place
Me too. Also it says in the very beginning to sew 2 pieces of the trim right sides together. When do we turn it right side out?

I have a question for you, on pattern #3, do you cut all 4 strips and use them for lower edge and neck.
How do you use it for neck?
Thanks
