This Is What Music In Every Sense Of Word Should Be All About. What Is Happening These Days In The Zambian Music World Is Nothing But Disaster By Any Standard
@@charlesmumba4756 Masiye Band was owned by BK and was predominately patronized by Congolese guitarists just like Pitchen's music no Zambian guitarist ever played that music but conglobe based in Kenya.
First heard this song from my roommate Zango Samulezhi in 2013 when I was a 4th year student at CBU. He used to be a lover of Kalindula songs and he played them often, including this one. It ended up being my favourite among the ones he'd play. One time I got sick and was admitted to Kitwe Central Hospital. This is the song that kept playing in my head during the night, when I was discharged, I couldn't wait to find it an listen. Since then I crave to listen to it every other week.
An adaptation from a traditional Bemba wedding song. The lyrics are sung in poetry, and the meaning is implied rather directly stated. It says "tuba twalile abene bakaionawile abana", meaning "lets hand it to the children so that they damage it themselves"... Like many things said in deep Bemba, or "ichibemba nkonko", as the Bemba say it, what they mean is that "lets trust our children to make of their marriage what they will". Implicit in this statement, or philosophy, is that family and society has done their duty in instructing the young couple, and it is up to them flourish in their marriage....
Really cool sound to this original song. I really enjoy the rhythm of this. :) (I hope you saw my email about comments on another video. I thought you wanted silly comments so I left one. I apologize for that--I was playing with your request in that video title.)
