Wife & I looked & drove the 2024 Genesis GV 80 Prestige 3.5T AWD, the Lincoln Nautilus, and the BMW X5. She fell for the Genesis, so that is what we purchased as her retirement car. (3) months into the purchase, and we're still learning all the amenities to this beautiful car!!
It’s interesting and somewhat disappointing that some of the new creature comforts found on the news Santa Fe didn’t really find their way into this car.
Super minor point. Center console storage has an upper but removable tray ... SO a deeper bin below. I've seen a report of a light, but not aware of usb etc.

The top of the dashboard isn't nappa leather. It's synthetic (fake) leather. Hyundai is being cheap with the old powertrains, that's why its fuel mileage isn't good. But it looks like a very nice vehicle. But since cost wise, it comes within a few grand of the German brands, it's a tough sell.
Living in the city or anywhere with a lot of bumps and traffic, 100% especially the prestige. Otherwise the X5 is a little more engaging on country or open roads 👍🏼
I think the Genesis GV80 is a really good-looking vehicle but the design doesn't shock me, It looks like a Bentley knockoff which is something no top-end vehicle should have. Looking at the Range Rover Sport for example, you can't confuse its design with any luxury vehicle just simply looks like a Range Rover and that to me is worth the cost. I'm not saying Genesis is a crap brand, they make great cars but spending near 100k for something which won't get me emotionally satisfied is not worth it. I feel better getting an X5 or GLE instead they are true to their brand.
Nice quality, not a big fan of the looks but interior's amazing. Biggest issue is they are about the worst when it comes to trade value after 2 - 3 years! They fall faster than a rock - for that reason I will not buy it.

I want one of these so bad. It’s literally a sexy car
Just purchased a 2025 GV80 2.5T Prestige. Honestly, the 300hp is more than enough for everyday driving and long trips. Better gas mileage, too.
The most powerful Genesis GV80 model could also have a 3.5T 48V E-supercharger engine (available for the Genesis G90 model) as an option!.
Good point! We’ll see if that’s available with a higher trim level at some point 👍🏼
That'll be the GV80 coupe
Nice & this Genesis GV80 is my SUV to buy.

I like how you shoot your video in HDR format, which is better to recreate the color and texture of the paint.

Interesting! Thanks for the info 👍🏼
Yes! The center console is actually quite deep. I think it's a great idea that the tray is so large as it is.
This bad boy is 🔥🔥🔥
Heck yeah! 👍🏼
I remember when Lexus used to make interiors like this.

I keep my eyes open for those videos!
Amen this is my future car 🚨❤
Great review

Would you pick this or the X5?

Good luck with resale and depreciation.
They hold their value
🔥 ❤
Wow!
Like styling but that GAS ⛽ mileage is HORRENDOUS 😲🫥
The efficiency lacks the inspiration that the rest of the vehicle has in spades. It's Genesis milking the old tech V6 and, of course, the weight.

The designer of the Genesis previously worked for Bentley, which may explain the similarities in design between the GV80 and Bentley vehicles.
You should rent one for a weekend
Once you drive a GV80, you will be impressed.
22 mpg on highway is very poor!
No AWD gets great gas mileage
@@TheKmj931 lol, our 2010 RAV4 4wd V6 gets 27 mpg on highway.
