I agree with modernising the boxing scoring- too much is open to interpretation which is why we often see score cards all over the place and a lack of consistency.
In order to professionalise boxing scoring a guide needs to be implemented for judges to score from.

And there's no better platform to start the modernized scoring than influencer boxing cards, the definition of unique and modernized boxing entertainment. If they do go through with it, it should definitely be round by round public scoring, so that the audience and fighters themselves can follow along. And clear consistent parameters on what a winning round looks like
Scoring criteria already exists. It's always going to be up to individual perception. This is the case with all combat sports that are scored round by round.
How exactly do you make boxing not up for interpretation? Ridiculous comment, if you make it about damage over strikes like ufc ok what’s more damaging a hit to head or the liver? You’re not in their body knowing which hurt or damaged more, if you do total strikes but don’t do any damage with them then have you won or did you have slightly better cardio, it’s all subjective and opinions no sport can totally get rid of subjectivity and it’s what makes sport great the drama and debate

There are several categories that could be scored on. I never mentioned damage once.
For example.. Power punches landed- its not hard to see who’s landed more power punches.
Who’s more aggressive- who’s on the front foot and in the centre of the ring the most each round. However those fighters who fight on the back foot may score lower in this but should be higher in the other categories.
Punches landed overall each round- not just thrown, they need to land clean.
Defence- no good being a fighter that throws 100 punches but lands 5. Slick fighters need to be rewarded like T Crawford.
Knockdowns- an obvious one.
Combination punches- who’s landing combination punches the most.
Inside work- if neither fighter do it then it won’t matter. Tired of seeing judges not recognise good inside work.
I’m not saying make it like MMA however you rarely hear MMA fighters ‘being robbed’ like you do in boxing. Clearly they’ve got something right..

Misfits Boxing numbers have been TERRIBLE. Im surprised they are still putting on events at all to be honest..
eh not really. their smaller events are less budget and in smaller arenas to prevent going out of business. The smaller events also can align with small boxing events in terms of revenue garnered. their big events usually sell more than most major boxing events. As long as they hold sponsors and keep a serious rep they will be fine until investors wanna move on.

Misfits is going to fade out, it hit its peak with the prime card and ever since it has been nothing but underwhelming, I think the fact that KSI and Jake have waited this long to fight has inadvertently ruined influencer boxing, they can still put on events that I’m sure will do decent in numbers, but the hype is slowly fading and will continue to fade until Jake and KSI fight, and if and when they do that will be the final nail in the coffin for influencer boxing

Dont get why its so hard to understand, KSI stood in a corner doing jumping jacks, showing no boxing Fundamentals.. Tommy fury pushed the pace and actually showed boxing Fundamentals outside of the clinch work, of which they landed equal amount of shots during. In fact tommy landed more.
In review of this fight the PBA will have spotted the amount of times KSI was ducking his head so tommy would hit the back of the head, they would also have spotted the elbow KSI did. Also the laying like an ironing board in the clinch. All of which ksi wasnt penalised for. Ksi did absolutely nothing in this fight and didnt come to box, he literally waited for the overhand right, landed 1% of them and went straight into the clinch.. tommy fury won the fight. Mams wouldnt even be looking for a new boxing commissioner if KSI would have won

KSI LOST. Idk what else there is for them to talk about. In my opinion from a boxing standpoint, it was a clear Tommy win. Not saying it wasn’t close, but Tommy out boxed KSI and I felt like they got the decision right from the beginning. Of course mams is salty because he’s been choking on KSIs meat for awhile and is worried that KSI will drop him. I think it’s pathetic how they’re reacting just because KSI lost. The fact that KSI can’t accept defeat shows that he should stay far away from anything competitive. He’s a shining example of why you should have your kids play sports. You learn to taste and accept defeat.
