As a Sone, BTS also has been a group I've loved for a long time and long before they became world famous, when they got unnecessary backlash and other idols ignored them in Korea, I can say that Snsd was the first group that truly supported them. BTS' leader RM even revealed that Taeyeon played a part in finalizing their decision to use 'Boy in luv' as their title song. In their early debut years, I remember how they welcomed Taehyung and let him sit next to them on a plane to Kcon, Sunny invited them to her radio show. The first female artist that Taehyung invited to their concerts was Yoona, and she came. While all this is happening they weren't even from the same company. Bts' company wasn't even a well-known company. I've never seen another group that supported them this much at that time. Everyone wanted to be close to them after their popularity, but I think the only exception was SNSD. And that's when I fell in love with these girls once again. Sorry it's a bit long ahahha
There's actually a lot of groups and members in Kpop that look up to SNSD they've been supportive to nugu groups backstage they're respected up to this day even though they're not the most popular group in this era but their name holds a lot of respect and impact to people
Taeyeon always be a very supportive sunbae ever, she often post something that her fellow artist new song in her socmed to support them. In the recent mmtg youtube channel she makes time to help Jaeje and friends to evaluate them.
Their episodes on "Running man" is so funny especially the one that Minho also joined at the end of the show and he was supposed to eliminate them (i think it was 253, 254 episodes) and 363, 364
personally, you have to watch Women love Tiffany, omg. After first three left SM, of course more TaeYeon. Please check out the last Bday party posted, Yoona w/ SooYoung, Yuri and Tiffany. They go bowling. Great video of them now. Also, Hyo and Sunny, No Way Home, last two episodes with Tiffany and SeoHyun as guests. Right before Sunny also left SM. ❤❤, they are so supportive of each other. Yoona, Yuri and SooYoung just went to see Tiffany in Chicago. Gotta love these women! 💖💕💖💕💜 ty, ty
When it comes to variety I'd strongly recommend intimate note. It's just one episode and it's absolutely unhinged and hilarious. If we're talking series, there's something us older (by time of stanning, not age) sones refer to as the soshi bible, as in it's a must watch of their humble beginnings! It's called Girls Go To School. Super fun watch! There's that one Phuket series I forgot the name of that had a lot of competitions and was funny. Soshi tamtam would be a recommendation for more current age soshi. If we're talking older variety (but not rookie) then my final recommendation is Invincible Youth season 1 with Sunny and Yuri. It's a super interesting and fun farm life show were 7 idols are tossed in the country side and made to fend for themselves. This includes many animals, planting their own crops, bartering and selling crops for food and supplies etc. It's super entertaining and probably one of my absolute favorites to watch. They get up to a bunch of crazy antics.
29:03 The red haired is Jae, I hope you can check her out later on. 2nd gen girl's come to her variety show to talk about the old days and she even gathered fans all around the world for a game with their idols, like Sooyoung.
SM Entertainment got very lucky that they had both Super Junior and Girls Generation. On top of their music impact (and visuals), it turned out that both groups were just naturals in front of the camera - and proved to be perfect for Korean variety shows on TV (no surprise that you see several members of both groups heavily involved in either acting or working as hosts/cast members of both game shows and variety shows in Korea today). The expansion of Kpop in the second gen is definitely tied in large part to these tremendous idols.
I would say that if she wants to check out an mv for Heavy Rotation (which is like the unofficial national anthem of girl groups in Japan), it should be the original - AKB48s (which came out 13 years ago.)
Taeyeon is such a great senior that you can make a whole long video just about her supporting other idols
I think I have one slotted for her solo stuff! 🥰

Choose the best ep from each variety show from fan votes or something
thats hard to do unfortunately, due to some variety shows get blocked over here 😔
