I've got a gen 1 XC60 (picked up in Dec 2009). It's big enough without being too big and has had only 1 mechanical issue since it was new (an o-ring failed, losing AC coolant). It's an appliance... you walk out side and it fires up every time. A perfect daily driver. The new one seems to sit a bit lower, which is actually a good thing. Very nice!
Took delivery of our CX60 T6 a week ago and after driving almost 2000 km already I can say it's been a really enjoyable experience with a good balance of both comfort and performance.
How strange that you posted this today ... I just got home from my Volvo dealer. Ordered the XC60 T8 eAWD Inscription 2021 in white with blonde interior. 👍🏻
Good choice, long story short I recently picked up my 2020 XC60 Momentum T6 AWD with pro and plus package. The big disappointment for me is this whole time i thought with the pro and plus package., it had the Park Pilot. For anyone reading this and considering a XC60 please keep in mind, the 2020 and 2021 XC60 Momentum trim will not have the Park Pilot (the pro package adds the 'Park assist') If you really want that volvo park pilot that auto steers and parks the car, you must get the R-design or Inscription or Polestar. This is where it blows my mind. The 2019 XC60 Momentum actually has the park pilot with the pro package. Why did they removeeeeee it.................. and why doesnt the sales knowwwwwwwwww until i told them to confirm right before i picked up my vehicle? This is all because the Momentum front and rear bumper only has 4 sensors. In order for the park pilot to work, it needs 2 additional censors located on near the front wheel just right above it. I have emailed volvo to ask if it is something i can purchase in the future like buying the R-design bumper and equipping those two additional sensors to have park pilot.
@@appleapple6053 In terms of pricing the inscription T6 is about 7-8k USD more than a fully loaded Momentum T6 (like mentioned it just does not have the park pilot) If price is not an issue, The polestar xc60 is the perfect mid size luxury SUV. Don't get fooled by the 415hp by the t8, because thats a E and Gas combined horsepower XD. You will only feel the speed of around 300hp. If you are buying a Volvo im pretty sure you are not going after the performance and speed.
We had one as a rental while our BMW X3 was being repaired. I think this is a beautiful vehicle, very refined and comfortable. Probably switching soon. 🤔 great video.
In my opinion best in class is the AWD momentum with the 18 inch wheels. The ride is nicer than low profile sidewalls. Plus you get more of an SUV type utility out of it. No curb damage like on larger wheels.
@@Phantom096 Curb damage occurs when you don't know how to parallel park your car. I've yet to scrape a curb in the 4 years I've had my '17 T6 XC90 R-Design, with its 20" wheels.
I drive the 2021 XC60, the wife drives the 2020 Lincoln Corsair and I think the Corsair is a far more luxurious SUV. My wife's Corsair is head and shoulders above the XC60 in quietness, comfort and the overall feeling of driving or riding in a premium luxury SUV. Now, I like the XC60 that I drive and am not saying the XC60 is a bad vehicle. However, in all honesty, the wife's SUV is far better.
In the car of a head on collision or bad accident of any sorts - the Volvo driver has the best chance of survival. The Ford would probably just “fall apart.” I now drive Volvo’s - have had 3 Fords previously - too soft in all categories.Never again.

Reliability? Obviously the 4Runner. The thing has an ancient engine and overall design hasn’t changed in decades, literally. It will probably still be running when you are dead. Comfort wise, both are decent, but the Volvo is noticeably better with much nicer leather seats, padding, and tech. What are you looking for in a vehicle? The 4Runner is very capable off-road, is that something you want/need?

Volvo cars are beautiful and luxurious. I would buy one if not for two factors: (1) Volvo is owned by a Chinese company (Geely Holdings); and (2) Volvo restricts it's top speed to 113 mph. I will not spend 50K + on a car with zero speed reserve when passing on a mountainous two-lane. In 2021 I expect any 50K car to reach 150 mph.

No radio, not even the turn signals made sounds (the exterior lights still flashed when i tested it against a reflection). Very strange experience. If it's a hidden option, that's pretty interesting.
