In China, the government is trying to get people employed by allocating places for working class people to say. However, the wages are lower in China than the UK. Second of all, I used to have a bad sleeping habit, that means energy levels at work ain't stable. Would an employer want to hire someone who is tired all the time? The answer is NO. Third of all, I didn't understand the system. Nearly all jobs advertised saying NO EXPERIENCE, I bet they want previous work references. Where are you going to get this if it is your 1st time? Some of my peers have work with NO qualifications, because they have started at a young age. Once again if I compare this with China, in China they value academic qualifications MORE, even for menial jobs. Fourthly, the law is so strict here! Even if you have all legal documents, they can't hire somebody with no previous job references. This will mean that there will ALWAYS be a division. Finally, I am scared of the social media rule. I used to make videos in English, but I am scared that this will jeopardise my job opportunities so I only make videos in Mandarin now. Wish you guys all the best!
This is tragic. I have never met a person who is not talented or skilled in something. Instead, we are forced to submit to this barbaric & quite frankly outdated system of wage-slavery, Last-Stage Capitalism, & Environmental Suicide to merely repeat a few actions over & over again - to keep psychopaths in charge. Anyone on my wavelength yet? Speak out man! *"We live in a world where our social system is old, our language is old, the way we acquire goods and services is outdated, our cities are detrimental to our health, chaotic and a tremendous waste of resource, and most of all our politics and values no longer serve us."* ~ Jacque Fresco
More African Americans of any age would be working if in every profession, they didn't need to navigate and overcome so much bias. In the past, systemic racism was pervasive and it was made legal by the United States government. Some would argue the remnants of systemic racism are still a challenge, but thankfully many racist laws have been repealed since the Civil Rights Act. However, that didn't stop individual bias, which is now the current fight against racism. In my two industries, for example, which are education and real estate, bias runs rampant. The vast majority of America's homebuyers and sellers are white, and they only hire white realtors. Many black realtors, and black realtors in particular, are avoided by the nation's buyers and sellers. This results in a high turnover of black agents being forced to leave the real estate industry, because they aren't being hired as often as white real estate agents. In education, the vast majority of principals who interview teachers for teaching positions at their schools are white females. In my 20 years in education, I've noticed there is a preference for white females, because the principals are white females. Far too often, principals will choose teachers who remind them of themselves, especially in affluent communities where public schools tend to be better supported and teachers get paid more. Affluent neighborhoods is where you will see a high concentration of white female educators and hardly any black educators with classrooms. The black educators are all concentrated in the worst schools in America, because those are the only schools that give black educators opportunities to teach. Not every black person is equipped with the skills necessary to navigate bias. Many people now assume racism is over, so they don't prepare their children for bias, especially bias that is difficult to prove. After many years of trying to get accepted, some black job applicants (with college degrees) might give up out of frustration because they are either unaware they're being discriminated against or they know it, but it would difficult to prove and too complicated to address with certainty. To rid ourselves of bias that prevents people from having a decent job, people everywhere must realize accepting differences in the workplace isn't limited to accepting different skin colors. That is minimal acceptance. You are not truly being accepting of others in the workplace if the people you accept are brown, but they must also talk like you, be like you, and remind you of people you already know. Remember, there are different ways of being, which you must also accept.
I like how it's considered racist to feel you have to dress & speak a certain way at interviews, I'm white & also feel the sane thing. It's normal at most large employers that you're expected to look smart (shirt/blouse & trousers) & speak professionally. White people are expected to 'assimilate' into the company's culture too. I'm not saying racism doesn't happen, but this isn't it.
Indians and Chinese being two of the most successful demographics in the UK and USA. They just keep their heads down by working hard and don't ask for handouts. Bravo to them! 👏
To those who are saying they are white and can't get jobs, you have not mentioned whether you have any qualifications. White working class usually are in family business and trades. They can't get good jobs due to lack of education, but they are more connected and often quite wealthy, compared to black working class, who have to get jobs to get anywhere. But being educated does not guarantee a job. But there are companies which would deliberately hire less qualified black women despite qualified white men. That's also so wrong. Positive discrimination is unfair.
Indians and Chinese don’t have this problem. If they don’t do too well academically, they can usually fall back on their family’s businesses, just like the White Working Class people you mentioned. If that not an option for most blck people, why is that? Do they not have businesses too? If not, why not? Do they have less opportunities than Asians, or have less entrepreneurial spirit? Typically, it’s blamed on racism. Make it make sense!

My advice is sort out your sleeping pattern, everything becomes much easier when you are attentive in the hours you should be.
Don't confuse racism with anti immigration sentiment. Two very different things.
It's not for you as a Chinese person to explain away the experience of black people seeking work when you are not in their shoes.
Its racism, its not black people being unwilling its straight up racism.
These comments kinda prove their point, no?
Exactly
Interesting. There’s a belief that this is only an issue in America. These young people with their degrees & credentials proved otherwise.
This is tragic. I have never met a person who is not talented or skilled in something. We should be studying & learning about the subjects we are most passionate & thus able to master - as well as become experienced in as many areas as possible.
Hahahaha meet ONE black person and youll meet someone who isn't talented or skilled at a single thing
Go to Africa. You’ll get a job there.
Telling employers they are racist isn't going to get you a job, you are less likely. Don't insult prospective employers and you might get somewhere
What do you think the reasons are for the stats?
Indians and Chinese being two of the most successful demographics in the UK and USA. They just keep their heads down by working hard and don't ask for handouts. Bravo to them! 👏
@@pardss9737 lol what about about blacks then exactly
They will never get it
I think that British black job seekers are better off living; and working in the United States because there are plenty of job opportunities.
They are always best to live with the white man.
I’m currently watching this and unemployed 😢 yes I’m a Chicago resident. A Well paying job seems so hard to get.
Research why that is.
I felt like that with my headscarf all I was thinking was they thinking that she is a Muslim don't employ i had rejects are the time. Then after training my skills 6 years after going to jobcentre was offered a job from my old asain employer how accepted me straight away.
Now I am working 3 years and met people from all backgrounds shows that majority employer have racist thinking of a employing a person different then them.
@MGazT that has nothing to do with anything. Anyone should aspire to do anything and be employed by merit (ideally). And yes I know minority shop keepers who hire white staff, sighting that it is good for business to get a wider demographic of customers, so what is your point
Your "brothers" have created a very bad atmosphere for to get a job.
wonder why asians don't have this issue
Cause they go to work as soon as they step off that boat. Due to having a strong character, they don't point the finger blaming all their problems on white people. They put in the effort and make something of themselves.
@@Miodrag.Vukomanovic Too be honest its not color its tradition and culture. asians value work over family most of the time

Is it maybe just not the case that the best qualified person got the job? I have met many people of colour. Many of them have very good very well paid jobs.
id agree but id also like to say that discrimination during the hiring process does exist but it doesn't occur as often as people like to think, this is anecdotal but a friend of mine (hes asian) applied for a job, got the job and the interviewer later said he wouldn't have necessarily hired a black person for position
Imagine if they were 3x less useful. Couldn't report those findings, no matter how much evidence came up.
:It seems as though no one in society thinks about the ones fallen in the unemployment trap . It's a battle . Why aren't school kids taught on how to correctly land a job ? It’s such an urgent issue.

I wonder if that is also the case for black employers
*Yep, sounds about right.*
Unsurprisingly, no one in the comments is whining about the unfair leg up from widespread "diversity" quotas, yet that IS clear, irrefutable racial/gender prejudice, tarted up as "social justice".
Hi, I'm Asian. Can Asians apply for the eu settlement scheme from Asia?
Facts ...
Who wants blacks in their neighborhood?
I know job hunting is tough for everyone regardless of race, but think about it. Why are some there job descriptions that has to say the they welcome BAME applicants, or they welcome people of all backgrounds?.And why are there job descriptions that don't do that? Why are there lot's of offices where the majority are white and you only see a very small number of non-white employees? It takes a lot of humility and courage to say that there is a racism problem.
Yes, it is the employer's fault. Yes, they can do something about it. And yes, the black job seekers have every right to complain.
😂😂😂 It has nothing to do with race.... bc if our corrupt leaders there’s just not enough jobs
You are wrong, there are plenty of jobs in the uk. The agriculture industry in the UK is filled with non British people leaving their country to be employed as fruit pickers, WHY? The construction industry is filled with many non British people WHY? you claim there are not enough jobs

Are Britain’s unemployed blacks receiving job seekers allowances; and is it enough money for the rent; and groceries?
I like the young black woman thought she was fit.
Why won’t they just hire those talented people? Just because of a colour? Really open your eyes, there are colours all around us, everywhere. Why not just realizing that?

No other reasons at all
Reservation in jobs will help
Huh? So you have special jobs just for black people? Or would you extend that to people who are Asian, Jewish, Polish etc etc as well? What if you're mixed race? Are you allowed to apply? And how do you pick the jobs to reserve? Do you say "all black people can work in Tescos and be greatful for it"? What if I wanted to work as a specialist in endocrinology? Or ethnobotany? Would a job be reserved for me there or would I have to take one of the special jobs reserved for people of my race?
