  • In this video for “Gagosian Quarterly,” Amanda Williams speaks with Derrick Adams about the way she uses color as a tool to examine the complex ways in which race informs our assignment of value to physical, social, and conceptual spaces. Their conversation took place on the occasion of Williams’s 2022 exhibition “CANDYLADYBLACK” at Gagosian’s Park & 75 gallery in New York: on.gagosian.com/45Eg9AY

Love how he appreciates the non artist person. They are the ones who inspire us and even turn to clients. Most artists are so focused on impressing curators and galleries which takes away the sole purpose of Art. I really enjoyed listening to this conversation very educational
