- I've been taking flying lessons for about four months now. After three months of those lessons at approximately three lessons per week, the weather finally cooperated and I was able to fly solo for the first time. The plane is a Cessna 172S.
Congratulations, nice landing!!!
Thanks! I was pretty happy with that first landing. Second one needed a little more flare but was still smooth.
Way to go Daniel. I’ve been a fan for a long time and it’s been a blast keeping up with your latest ventures, keep it up buddy!
Great Job Daniel , and Congratulations , i'm also a licensed pilot , i took my final check ride May 27th 1987 and got my license , at Pine Bluff Airport , Pine Bluff ,Arkansas , and then flew back to my home city of Searcy , Arkansas .
I might start flight school in August! Happy flying!!
I started watching your videos for the Cummins 8.3 info. Congratulations on your first solo. There is no feeling that compares. Are you still flying? I soloed in 1995 and then took a 20 year break before I resumed training and completed my PPL in 2015.
Amazing!

Nice flight, and smooth landing good job. But I have to know do you still have those old craftsman 18v drills from your videos back around 13 years ago?
it must have been a really weird yet exciting feeling to be ably to fly without someone right next to you.
Congrats! Always wanted to get my PPL, just haven’t had time/money/a place lined up. How was your experience?
