So all this people were not buying electricity for years....last year Eskom employees were entering house to house checking meter boxes n sealing the box with the stickers showing they checked, took ID numbers n cell numbers, that now they sent SMS notifying about upgraded system...no hustle, buy electricity install numbers as directed n have power.
Typical South Africa everyone waits to the last minute after knowing about it for a year, then want a extension, but that is out of the control of people and the machines do not care about your tardiness.
Don't you listen to TV South Africans mara last minutes and if you know that you are paying there's no need to go just check it at home and pls lets do the right things

"Eskom came unannounced" and saw all the illegal connnections 😂 umphakathi wanted to clean up quickly 😂
This is a useless update. Fix Eskom first before you roll out new updates to your services. What a waste of tax payer money!!!!!
Eskom it well fixed, people need to stop being stubborn and buy electricity..

It possible because if you were buying electricity it was going to be automatically updated, and you will know if your meter has to change or Not..
