This is great free information and we should be grateful to have it. I am shocked at the complaint in one of the comments that Carey should not mention his book at the beginning of his videos. That attitude is what keeps artists poor. They wait for patrons to find them. Is Carey supposed to wait until we maybe go to his site and see his books? He is conveying expertise, and credibility by showing his books and we should read his books as well. Why shouldn't he be paid and paid well for doing all of this good work?

jjenn 33 You don’t have to have sponsors, it’s more if you’re putting together a show of your own without a major Gallery but even with a major gallery - having sponsors, the same way museums have sponsors allows you to have even more money to produce the show

His poems have been widely translated into many of the world's languages and transposed into various formats. In 2007, he was described as the "most popular poet in America."
Typical advise for a liberal "artist" who cant sell a single painting. Such "artists" need sponsorship of state n city agencies and numerous dubious entities to do what they can not: get a cash for their work.Start painting with skills n classical training so this question will never come across.

Good idea for artists, but when a filmmaker raises funds for a project, the contributers do expect something back, a cut of the profits.
