I didn't know that the GDR national football team played against FC Barcelona (or Club de Fútbol Barcelona as was called back then, because of the Francoist regime regulation). I know that some Eastern bloc teams like Dinamo Moscow played here in the 1970's in friendly tournaments (Ramón de Carranza trophy or Ciudad de Sevilla trophy), but I've never heard about this match. Thanks for upload this video.

Wenn man das so hört, könnte man denken, "Johan 2" wurde span Meister, this is not the case.

That's right. Cruyff won the 1973/74 Spanish top league and the 1977/78 Spanish cup. Also, in 1975 FC Barcelona reached the semifinal of the European Champions Cup, but they were beated by Leeds United. Neskeens won, apart from the Spanish cup previously mentioned in 1978, the European Cup Winners Cup in 1979 (his last year in Barcelona) against Fortuna Düsseldorf.

@@eladiojesusfernandezrosa2080 As a 11-year-old I watched this '79 final on german tv. F95 was denied (among others) by Krankl, who joined the spanish side (i dare say) after the wc '78, beating West Germany by 2 goals of his own, to prevent them reaching the "small stage" against Brazil.
by the way: Even german, i know, that Camp Nou was built for L.Kubala. I saw on YT the 2nd leg of the EC1 semi-final '61 vs HSV.
What a game; no tiki-taka, just straight forward.
As we all know, Benfica prevailed (although Eusébio was still banned for int. games) vs CF de B. (with 3 hungarian players in the line up).

@@peterpetersen2210 I thought Eusébio was not Benfica player when this final took place (he come to the "vermelhos" next season, when they also won the trophy against Real Madrid), but I'm not sure now. Also, here this final is known here as "the posts final", cause Barcelona crush the ball several times in the square posts of Benfica goal (ruclips.net/video/H57_pPT0UJA/видео.html). The same that happened to the Hungarian players Czibor and Kocsis in 1954, in the same Wankdorf stadium, during the World Cup final. One of them -I don't remember who, sorry-, in fact, said to his team partners "This ground is a shit", remembering the bitter memories of this World Cup final, and at the end this sentence become a prediction of what would happened later against Benfica.
      Greetings.

@@eladiojesusfernandezrosa2080 Sry, for late reply; ref to wiki: The top scorer of the '66 wc headed for Portugal in dec '60 and was step by step adapted/introduced to the squad. He gave his first appearance in a friendly in may '61 but was banned (for what reason ever) for int games.
I intended to watch the complete '61 final but resigned quickly. It is astonishing that the semi/2nd leg vs HSV was way better recorded.
apropos posts: The most painful "hit the post" i know occured in the wc-final '78: Rensenbrink was the unlucky one in the 90th minute. Otherwise the dutch side would have prevailed (world champion without Cruyff, who did not participate because of the danger of being abducted) and Rensenbrink himself would have been the top scorer.
