Definitely one of their best, I'm not a huge fan but this is a great song. Another Aussie band's song about Vietnam vets is Redgums "I Was Only 19" genius. More genius is Paul Kelly, Australia's best song writer, world class, "Making Gravy" "Dumb Things" "To Her Door" are just a few of a long list of great songs. Nick Cave's "Red Right Hand", The Black Sorrows "Never Let Me Go" are a couple more. Subscribed and are looking forward to you reacting to more of our great Aussie talent. Thanks for the channel.
@@deanhall6045 Thanks, I didn't know that, Vietnam was controversial for sure, conscription and an unpopular war, and the vets are still dealing with it all. So much for free speech, I don't think any things changed, freedom is an illusion that the system sells us. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the heads up on that.
As a New Zealander l grew up listening tho Jimmy Barnes and a old Chisel. So many great hit tunes from that band. Shipping Steel... A live version and l guess one of my favorite albums they put out. Check it out brother.
Everyone in Australia knows this song. It is about a Vietnam veteran struggling to fit in back home after the war.
Iconic band in Australia!!!!! Yes it is a place in Asia.
