Mark did a fantastic job and i don't think he gives himself enough credit for it. He won hard races against Vettel and the rest of the field. Furthermore, Vettel wouldn't have had such a fast car if it wasn't for Mark's development and experience through the early years of the team. I was one of those willing him on through his career. Fine driver and a great manager of Piastri. God bless Webber forever.
You can always go back to someone reaping the benefits of another one's work to some extent. For example Michael Schumacher in his last stint at Mercedes, 2010-2012, undoubtedly laid the foundation for the success that Lewis Hamilton could later enjoy with them, starting 2013 and already getting his second championship in 2014. So the way we look at drivers, comparing their achievements as individuals only, is inherently flawed. We also have to take into consideration the team and the ones that brought it up to a certain level before them.
I find it truly fascinating what others here read into this interview - there's not a hint of animosity towards anyone at Red Bull in it, whether it be Seb or management. Also, Mark's not bigging himself up at all - he's saying he was a title contender which is TRUE (he led most of 2010 so he absolutely wasn't a fluke, and you don't just luck into a top-team seat if you're not bringing any value). He's not even really rehashing old grievances - yeah they talk about the wing or the engine issue, but he's not feeding the flames, just saying "it was what it was" and how that made him feel at the time. It's an honest and very reflective interview, from someone who knows what he's talking about (and working in a corporate environment myself I know Mark's right about what pressure does to people and how everybody's taking a different line to get to the top). I really wish people would stop sowing discord where there is none. Mark's good with Red Bull and Horner, and he's really good with Seb by now. They've all grown and matured and left those toxic times behind.

only thing wrong is top team point. redbull wasnt a top team . It became after 2009 . he joined in 05 . but he for sure proved his worth . held it against DC. and coped brilliantly . From being in a minardi and struggling Ford to redbull. Not many drivers can deal with step up to a title contending team . better than average talent but never backed out or gave up

Mark's big point losses in 2010 that were driver error related: European GP, and above that, the Korean GP where he could've sealed the championship. Vettel's big point losses in 2010 that were driver error related: Belgian GP and the infamours Turkish GP. However, since in the video there's talks about "reliability issues", need I remind everyone that Seb had the following: -Bahrain GP: Was leading and onto an easy win and got an issue that put him down on power. Went from 1st to 4th. -Australian GP: Once again, leading onto an easy win, his brakes failed... DNF. -British GP: Hamilton in a racing incident at the start gave him a puncture and he went from 2nd to last and finished 7th. -Hungarian GP: Got an unfair penalty which again took him out of the race win, since that was a hard to overtake track and no DRS, and the Red Bull was one of the slowest in the straights he went from an easy win, to finish 3rd unable to pass Alonso. -Korean GP: Was leading and onto an easy win... another reliability issue. DNF. We're talking about over 70 points lost in 5 races for things out of his control. Was the team sabotaging Vettel then??? Come on now. Had Mark not crashed, he would've won in Korea and pretty much sealed the championship unless he finished out of the points in Abu Dhabi. Without those, Vettel is champion with 2 or 3 races to go... It was a chaotic season for top drivers really... Which was part of the fun. Every top driver made mistakes... Hamilton, Alonso, Webber, Vettel and Button.
I'm sorry but the penalty in the Hungarian GP wasn't unfair. It was the right penalty however it was stupid tactics from RB. If I remember right they told Vettel to leave such a gap

I know it’s probably not agreed with by many people , but if I need an Aussie driving for my life in F1 all in there prime I’m picking Mark. He was absolutely fearless, not as gifted as Daniel and Oscar even Jack, but he willed his way to win. What a legend!! Much love and respect
Wow, and Aussie who would take Mark over Jack Brabham. I'd take Jack and the for some reason forgotten Alan Jones. Not sure why he is always overlooked because he was a beast wheel to wheel that could find little bit of extra grip for just shade better line. I think Jack is the greatest Aussie driver but Alan I believe to be the most purely talented. To be honest I think Ricardo is a bit over rated, it you need a specific car to be fast and cannot deal with adversity IMHO you are not a top shelf race car driver. Not saying Daniel is not a very good driver, only that he is not one of the all time greats or even a A list in the history of F1. And, it is way WAY to early to rate Oscar; still at the stage of potential rather than accomplishment. At this point, yes I would put Mark ahead of both, but Mark while a great driver was never in the same class as Bradham or Jones.
Adrian Newey’s autobiography provided a different point of view: Difficulty in adopting to the blown diffuser, manager creating more issues than there were. That’s what I remember from the top of my head. As is true there is always a grey area and there must have been issues on multiple sides. Korea DNF and Abu Dhabi strategy call hurt both Alonso and Webber. Anyway, it was good for him to leave and achieve WEC success afterwards
If I recall correctly the blown diffuser was installed after the 2010 season. The gripe Webber had with Redbull was mainly in the 2010 season where he had a good chance to win the championship. He even admits that he is only a one championship type driver and has said Ricciardo is a better driver than him. He also admitted he had trouble adapting to the new compound tyres that were introduced after the 2010 season.
That's all very well and good. But Red Bull turning down Webber's engine when he's closing down his teammate shows that they were sabotaging Webber, much like they're doing to Checo now
That Korea DNF still plays back in my head. Given how much of a charge Seb was on at that stage of the season, I had a strong feeling that was his chance gone.
If we use total number of DNF's as a yardstick, it's reasonable to suggest Mark Webber was harder on the car than Sebastien. In the years they were team mates, Webber's total DNF count is higher than that of Vettel.

I don't buy that Seb was quicker, honestly. The words above do, however, tell a story that RBR has their "golden boy" and that they will do whatever is necessary to keep that individual in that position. After Mark and also after RBR, Seb got crushed by his teammates. IMO, Seb (just like Max) is just another false Newey golden idol, propped up by the engineering genius of Adrian as opposed to their own raw driving ability.

But what is important is that the team wins the constructors and that can only be achieved with an excellent car and two drivers capable of maximising it’s potential. Take in recent times Hamilton/Bottas and Verstappen/Perez. A less successful combination was Hamilton/Rosberg with a shock retirement from Rosberg. Currently at Ferrari Leclerc/Sainz more evenly balanced but I think we are seeing a one two driver lineup emerging. This dynamic exists in industry too when one colleague is promoted over the other and this can cause all kinds of Ill feeling. The challenge is for a team to have strong leadership and I point to Toto Wolf as being the best in the business.

No they use ballasts in the cars, with varying weight depending on the driver to equalize the weight somewhat. Yuki doesn't have +5 speed compared to Ocon because he's small, it's all calculated.
The maximum driver weight has increased considerably since Mark raced they increased it considerably roughly 4 years ago. One of the main reasons Hulkeneberg never got into a big team in his prime was he was considered too big by the engineers ata lot of teams and it out weighed his driving potential. Mark was told he couldn't lose anymore weight by doctors or he would become annorexic. htis is a direct quote from him. @@v12vanquish135 That weight system you're talking about came in a couple of years after Webber retired. Prior to that, there was a minimum weight requirement on the car only. Vettel being smaller and lighter than Webber allowed Red Bull to distribute the weight better on Vettel's car, for the car to reach the minimum weight allowance. The combination of Vettel and his car's weight was lighter than Webber and his car. The change to car and driver minimum weight came about because some of the drivers were risking their health trying to get their body weight down so low, in order to not be disadvantaged to a driver who was smaller.
Of all the Australian drivers, I'd still rank Mark above Ricciardo. He's one of the most important drivers in Red Bull next to Max and Seb. Wish he had more more but he can be proud of his career.

I would disagree. Mark objectively had the strongest car from mid 09-2013. Had Ricciardo not been shafted by the team strat at Spain 2016 and the pit stop blunder at Monaco, he’d have the same amount of wins at the team as mark, in inferior machinery relative to the competition. If Daniel had the WC RB he would have at least 3 DWC. He got promoted to RB literally when it was a long second from the Mercs, left before it was a WC car again, and had the same amount of wins that Max had while they were together racing. Ricciardo is objectively faster than Webber. Webber implied that before the Australian GP in 2014, and Daniel got DQed from his Quli but put it on the podium in Q3, beat Seb after he came from his 4 WDC high. don't fucking kid yourself.

He made sure either cameras were about, if not then in interviews they would give him the opportunity to say his bit. A lot of his interviews were magic TV!
I like Mark and believe he was done dirty by the team, as they favored Seb for most of his time with RBR, but I do believe Seb was the superior driver when it came down to it. But Vettel's reputation took a big hit his last year with RBR when Danny Ric outperformed him as Vettel couldn't quite get to grips with the RB10 and when he moved on to Ferrari, he just couldn't match the form he had when we won 4 consecutive WDCs in a very competitive car, I might add. Seb was in the GOAT conversation, but that all went away in the 2nd half of his career. He did transform into a much better human being though.
you hit the nail on the head with that last sentance. You could see the change in him as a person once he came to Ferrari. He went from looking like an entitled, arrogant little shit-kid that wanted to be treated like royaly to growing up and realizing that his shit does stink like every one else, and that there's more to life then just winning races. Obviously the change didnt happen from day one after joining Ferrari, but he did go from being one of my least favorite drivers on the grid to gaining my respect during his time there, and now he seems like a really cool dude that I would love to meet and have over for a beer.

They're going to favour the faster driver, which ultimately Sebastian was. Mark's always been slightly bitter about it, but the fact ishe was a top diver in sporadic tracks. Seb was a top driver at every track.
Webber led the championship longer than any driver in 2010. He was ahead of Vettel right up until the Abu Dhabi finale. Call the season a race early and he's ahead of Vettel. Run another race after Abu Dhabi and it's reasonable to believe he might have got back ahead. The point being, to call Mark only sporadically good and Vettel good everywhere doesn't hold up. Vettel had more points after Abu Dhabi. That's all.

Mark Webber now has to be one of the best F1 drivers manager in the sport. Oscar Piastri is managed by Mark Webber and in only his second year in F1, has started to come one of the standout drivers in F1. In 2024, due to internal politics, have lost the best F1 designers, losing the construction championship, could lose the drivers championship, losing key personnel and is now in a death spiral.

he never said it was true he said someone in the Engine team told him that, also in 2012 the regulations changed and teams could no longer change the state of the engine mid race, drivers could only do it once a driver had changed the engine mode teams could prevent it from being changed again but they couldnt change it themselves
That race in Korea haunts me to this day. Webber had the championship in the bag IMO, did he crack under pressure, or was there foul play by Red Bull?? Either way Red Bull has always tried to make sure there is only 1 top dog in the team.
There is a disconnect to the point of paradox in F1: To be the best driver you have to be highly competitive with the confidence that you are the best driver. To the team management/owners who write the paychecks yes they want to win but only as a means to make money. Even break even teams the value of winning and championships is in sales/marketing value they generate: race on Sunday to sell on Monday. For example, Ferrari's F1 team breaks even but because of their F1 team their car sales and the prices they can charge, and more important merch/lifestyle earnings, make tens of millions more than if they didn't have an F1 team. It is fine for drivers as competitors and fans with a sense of justice to say let them race and best man win. However, winning the drivers' championship has a value of tens of millions, more than constructors' championships, so drivers taking points from each other is not optimal. Then all things equal with two well matched drivers close as a team owner you have to pull for the more marketable driver. Mark was a fantastic racer, probably as good a Seb; however Seb was much more marketable as a young personable driver with a captivating brash driving style. The difference between Seb winning the driver's championship and Mark winning the drivers championship in energy drink sales was more than the added difference in Constructor's prize money. And winning the drivers' championship with the 2nd driver in what is still a very fast car likely wins the constructors' anyway. Drivers (and pit crews, engineers...) are competitors, team owners and investors are capitalist. F1 is a business not the racing amateur motor sports Olympics where competition and fair playing field is king.
I feel like we need to have bigger focus on the constructor championship instead of driver championship. The whole idea of having a teammate is to bring maximum point to the team. Now we see teammates fighting each other. Cool to see, but yeah, it's a nightmare to manage. Not to mention the FIA doesn't reward driver championship in terms of money.

Also, another World Champion Mark Webber that had the title on at least 2 occasions taken from him. He should never have been a wing man with how good he was, especially when constructors were already in the bag. Webber was a driver a team could have been built around. How he states that within the team there IS favouritism towards one driver... Him saying this makes me think back to old races where mistakes were made during pitstops when if not made the said drivers would have come out in the lead. Example of a team starting favouritism was what Mark Webber spoke of here, leading the drivers title race in 2010 for certain things happened bizarrely along with favouring a young Sebastian Vettle despite Webber leading, it became Vettles to lose. I only think BECAUSE IF they let Webber win they would have to give him the best team, support him more (because they do & did), Whilst a very young Vettle could potentially look at other top teams dangling a carrott and Vettle was very Hot at the time. Mark was and is a legend, he got totally screwed over by Red Bull time and again, and let’s not forget Multi-21, but then Red Bull have a history and current M-O is always to be toxic and favour one driver over the other, I was always in Mark’s corner even though I’ve never liked Red Bull. I’m pleased that Oscar is doing so well in F1, and Mark is his manager, I feel that experience is invaluable. I hope Mark does more F1 commentary and presenting it’s so much more enjoyable an experience when he’s there, and hilarious when he swears during live T.V👍🏻
Mark was a decent driver, but up against an all-time great like Vettel in the V8 era Redbull, could you really blame Redbull for giving Vettel a bit more to work with? 2010 and 2012 went right down to the wire, and by 2013, Vettel was in a whole different league of class. He was never going to challenge Vettel for a title. In fact, when he went to race for Porsche, he was easily passed by Hulkenburg who was a noobie in that car, while Mark was fully behind the development of the car.

2010 was the only year he was close to an unrefined, error prone Seb, but both made some terrible mistakes that year - you can understand why Redbull felt it was safer to bet on both of them rather than pick one horse to get behind like Mark describes. 2010 really was the peak, Then not bad in 2012 and destroyed in 2011 and 13.
ehh RedBull made some really wierd decisions in 2010, like where he mentions Canada, Mark was leading the championship so he gets priority (that was RedBulls team rules in 2010, whoever leads the championship has priority) Mark had the gearbox change which put him in 7th then he caught seb during the race, with Mark behind Seb was told to slow down becuase of a potential gearbox issue which is fine but Mark was told hes not allowed to pass Seb, there was no risk from behind and with Mark being the "priority" why was he not allowed to take the place? i can easily see why Mark would feel like hes swimming against the tide when things like that happen, when seb is leading the championship its "whos leading gets prioriry" but when mark is leading all of a sudden those team rules no longer exist. Mark also did increadibly well to even stay in the championship fight as he raced the last 4 races with a broken shoulder

They didn't had a rivalry. Vettel won all seasons from 2008 with Toro Rosso to 2013. Mark raced with Vettel during those years but not against him. Vettel has a rivalry with Hamilton because they alternate on winning. Alonso and Webber just watch Vettel win from behind. Vettel won 12 seasons over Alonso. They were not rivals because of the difference in skill and achievement.

Also, Mark's not bigging himself up at all - he's saying he was a title contender which is TRUE (he led most of 2010 so he absolutely wasn't a fluke, and you don't just luck into a top-team seat if you're not bringing any value). He's not even really rehashing old grievances - yeah they talk about the wing or the engine issue, but he's not feeding the flames, just saying "it was what it was" and how that made him feel at the time.
It's an honest and very reflective interview, from someone who knows what he's talking about (and working in a corporate environment myself I know Mark's right about what pressure does to people and how everybody's taking a different line to get to the top). I really wish people would stop sowing discord where there is none. Mark's good with Red Bull and Horner, and he's really good with Seb by now. They've all grown and matured and left those toxic times behind.

However, since in the video there's talks about "reliability issues", need I remind everyone that Seb had the following:
-Bahrain GP: Was leading and onto an easy win and got an issue that put him down on power. Went from 1st to 4th.
-Australian GP: Once again, leading onto an easy win, his brakes failed... DNF.
-British GP: Hamilton in a racing incident at the start gave him a puncture and he went from 2nd to last and finished 7th.
-Hungarian GP: Got an unfair penalty which again took him out of the race win, since that was a hard to overtake track and no DRS, and the Red Bull was one of the slowest in the straights he went from an easy win, to finish 3rd unable to pass Alonso.
-Korean GP: Was leading and onto an easy win... another reliability issue. DNF.
We're talking about over 70 points lost in 5 races for things out of his control. Was the team sabotaging Vettel then??? Come on now. Had Mark not crashed, he would've won in Korea and pretty much sealed the championship unless he finished out of the points in Abu Dhabi.

Wow, and Aussie who would take Mark over Jack Brabham. I'd take Jack and the for some reason forgotten Alan Jones. Not sure why he is always overlooked because he was a beast wheel to wheel that could find little bit of extra grip for just shade better line. I think Jack is the greatest Aussie driver but Alan I believe to be the most purely talented.
To be honest I think Ricardo is a bit over rated, it you need a specific car to be fast and cannot deal with adversity IMHO you are not a top shelf race car driver. Not saying Daniel is not a very good driver, only that he is not one of the all time greats or even a A list in the history of F1. And, it is way WAY to early to rate Oscar; still at the stage of potential rather than accomplishment. At this point, yes I would put Mark ahead of both, but Mark while a great driver was never in the same class as Bradham or Jones.
Adrian Newey’s autobiography provided a different point of view: Difficulty in adopting to the blown diffuser, manager creating more issues than there were. That’s what I remember from the top of my head.
As is true there is always a grey area and there must have been issues on multiple sides. Korea DNF and Abu Dhabi strategy call hurt both Alonso and Webber.

Most teams don't support 'outside' drivers away from Europe. Webber was never in with a chance. Just like Checo now.
If I recall correctly the blown diffuser was installed after the 2010 season. The gripe Webber had with Redbull was mainly in the 2010 season where he had a good chance to win the championship. He even admits that he is only a one championship type driver and has said Ricciardo is a better driver than him. He also admitted he had trouble adapting to the new compound tyres that were introduced after the 2010 season.
That's all very well and good. But Red Bull turning down Webber's engine when he's closing down his teammate shows that they were sabotaging Webber, much like they're doing to Checo now
That Korea DNF still plays back in my head. Given how much of a charge Seb was on at that stage of the season, I had a strong feeling that was his chance gone.
If we use total number of DNF's as a yardstick, it's reasonable to suggest Mark Webber was harder on the car than Sebastien. In the years they were team mates, Webber's total DNF count is higher than that of Vettel.

The words above do, however, tell a story that RBR has their "golden boy" and that they will do whatever is necessary to keep that individual in that position. After Mark and also after RBR, Seb got crushed by his teammates. IMO, Seb (just like Max) is just another false Newey golden idol, propped up by the engineering genius of Adrian as opposed to their own raw driving ability.

But what is important is that the team wins the constructors and that can only be achieved with an excellent car and two drivers capable of maximising it’s potential. Take in recent times Hamilton/Bottas and Verstappen/Perez. A less successful combination was Hamilton/Rosberg with a shock retirement from Rosberg. Currently at Ferrari Leclerc/Sainz more evenly balanced but I think we are seeing a one two driver lineup emerging. This dynamic exists in industry too when one colleague is promoted over the other and this can cause all kinds of Ill feeling. The challenge is for a team to have strong leadership and I point to Toto Wolf as being the best in the business.

No they use ballasts in the cars, with varying weight depending on the driver to equalize the weight somewhat. Yuki doesn't have +5 speed compared to Ocon because he's small, it's all calculated.
The maximum driver weight has increased considerably since Mark raced they increased it considerably roughly 4 years ago. One of the main reasons Hulkeneberg never got into a big team in his prime was he was considered too big by the engineers ata lot of teams and it out weighed his driving potential. Mark was told he couldn't lose anymore weight by doctors or he would become annorexic. htis is a direct quote from him. At six feet tall, he weighed around 11st 11lb (75 kg) when at Red Bull - more than 10 kg heavier than what he once called the ideal driver weight.6 May 2016@@v12vanquish135
@@v12vanquish135 That weight system you're talking about came in a couple of years after Webber retired. Prior to that, there was a minimum weight requirement on the car only. Vettel being smaller and lighter than Webber allowed Red Bull to distribute the weight better on Vettel's car, for the car to reach the minimum weight allowance. The combination of Vettel and his car's weight was lighter than Webber and his car.
The change to car and driver minimum weight came about because some of the drivers were risking their health trying to get their body weight down so low, in order to not be disadvantaged to a driver who was smaller.

I would disagree. Mark objectively had the strongest car from mid 09-2013. Had Ricciardo not been shafted by the team strat at Spain 2016 and the pit stop blunder at Monaco, he’d have the same amount of wins at the team as mark, in inferior machinery relative to the competition. I’d agree mark did more for the team since he was there when they weren’t a great team, but in terms of getting what you can out of the car ricciardo did a better job
If Daniel had the WC RB he would have at least 3 DWC. He got promoted to RB literally when it was a long second from the Mercs, left before it was a WC car again, and had the same amount of wins that Max had while they were together racing.

Webber 1 of few drivers that never held back with opinions, views and more so confrontations especially if something needs to be said to the world... He made sure either cameras were about, if not then in interviews they would give him the opportunity to say his bit.

I like Mark and believe he was done dirty by the team, as they favored Seb for most of his time with RBR, but I do believe Seb was the superior driver when it came down to it. But Vettel's reputation took a big hit his last year with RBR when Danny Ric outperformed him as Vettel couldn't quite get to grips with the RB10 and when he moved on to Ferrari, he just couldn't match the form he had when we won 4 consecutive WDCs in a very competitive car, I might add. Seb was in the GOAT conversation, but that all went away in the 2nd half of his career. He did transform into a much better human being though.
you hit the nail on the head with that last sentance. You could see the change in him as a person once he came to Ferrari. He went from looking like an entitled, arrogant little shit-kid that wanted to be treated like royaly to growing up and realizing that his shit does stink like every one else, and that there's more to life then just winning races. Obviously the change didnt happen from day one after joining Ferrari, but he did go from being one of my least favorite drivers on the grid to gaining my respect during his time there, and now he seems like a really cool dude that I would love to meet and have over for a beer.

Webber led the championship longer than any driver in 2010. He was ahead of Vettel right up until the Abu Dhabi finale. Call the season a race early and he's ahead of Vettel. Run another race after Abu Dhabi and it's reasonable to believe he might have got back ahead. The point being, to call Mark only sporadically good and Vettel good everywhere doesn't hold up. Vettel had more points after Abu Dhabi. That's all.

Mark Webber now has to be one of the best F1 drivers manager in the sport. Oscar Piastri is managed by Mark Webber and in only his second year in F1, has started to come one of the standout drivers in F1. In 2024, due to internal politics, have lost the best F1 designers, losing the construction championship, could lose the drivers championship, losing key personnel and is now in a death spiral.

There is a disconnect to the point of paradox in F1: To be the best driver you have to be highly competitive with the confidence that you are the best driver. To the team management/owners who write the paychecks yes they want to win but only as a means to make money. Even break even teams the value of winning and championships is in sales/marketing value they generate: race on Sunday to sell on Monday. For example, Ferrari's F1 team breaks even but because of their F1 team their car sales and the prices they can charge, and more important merch/lifestyle earnings, make tens of millions more than if they didn't have an F1 team.
It is fine for drivers as competitors and fans with a sense of justice to say let them race and best man win. However, winning the drivers' championship has a value of tens of millions, more than constructors' championships, so drivers taking points from each other is not optimal. Then all things equal with two well matched drivers close as a team owner you have to pull for the more marketable driver. Mark was a fantastic racer, probably as good a Seb; however Seb was much more marketable as a young personable driver with a captivating brash driving style. The difference between Seb winning the driver's championship and Mark winning the drivers championship in energy drink sales was more than the added difference in Constructor's prize money. And winning the drivers' championship with the 2nd driver in what is still a very fast car likely wins the constructors' anyway.
Drivers (and pit crews, engineers...) are competitors, team owners and investors are capitalist. F1 is a business not the racing amateur motor sports Olympics where competition and fair playing field is king.
I feel like we need to have bigger focus on the constructor championship instead of driver championship. The whole idea of having a teammate is to bring maximum point to the team. Now we see teammates fighting each other. Cool to see, but yeah, it's a nightmare to manage.
Not to mention the FIA doesn't reward driver championship in terms of money.
I've always wondered whether Webber - if he had his time again - would've approached the Korean GP in 2010 any differently or whether he would approach it the same knowing that Seb was the significant danger to his championship.

Mark was and is a legend, he got totally screwed over by Red Bull time and again, and let’s not forget Multi-21, but then Red Bull have a history and current M-O is always to be toxic and favour one driver over the other, I was always in Mark’s corner even though I’ve never liked Red Bull.
I’m pleased that Oscar is doing so well in F1, and Mark is his manager, I feel that experience is invaluable.

Mark was a decent driver, but up against an all-time great like Vettel in the V8 era Redbull, could you really blame Redbull for giving Vettel a bit more to work with? 2010 and 2012 went right down to the wire, and by 2013, Vettel was in a whole different league of class. He was never going to challenge Vettel for a title. In fact, when he went to race for Porsche, he was easily passed by Hulkenburg who was a noobie in that car, while Mark was fully behind the development of the car.

I'm so sorry that vettel didn't won att least one of championship for Ferrari and put all of the nonsense talk about him being no good to rest. I believe if vettel had the backing at Ferrari and the right strategy and so on I believe he could have won one. Mark was a solid number two driver but he was nowhere near Vettel like him or not. In every team the quicker driver usually gets favoured.

2010 was his best season.
2010 was the only year he was close to an unrefined, error prone Seb, but both made some terrible mistakes that year - you can understand why Redbull felt it was safer to bet on both of them rather than pick one horse to get behind like Mark describes.
2010 really was the peak, Then not bad in 2012 and destroyed in 2011 and 13.
ehh RedBull made some really wierd decisions in 2010, like where he mentions Canada, Mark was leading the championship so he gets priority (that was RedBulls team rules in 2010, whoever leads the championship has priority) Mark had the gearbox change which put him in 7th then he caught seb during the race, with Mark behind Seb was told to slow down becuase of a potential gearbox issue which is fine but Mark was told hes not allowed to pass Seb, there was no risk from behind and with Mark being the "priority" why was he not allowed to take the place?
i can easily see why Mark would feel like hes swimming against the tide when things like that happen, when seb is leading the championship its "whos leading gets prioriry" but when mark is leading all of a sudden those team rules no longer exist.
Mark also did increadibly well to even stay in the championship fight as he raced the last 4 races with a broken shoulder
The reason i dont care for these is the drivers signed for this Team if your not chosen as the number one you cant complain bottas rubens coultard where number 2 as much as i love mark as a driver compared to vettel hes number 2 rb made the right choice .... eddie Irvine was the best number two because he knew his place and and michael broke his leg he has his chance and lost
I also agree 2010 redbull were favouring Webber he was told to hold position in Brazil and Japan and Canada and was clearly faster than vettel could of and should of won it if he didn't bin it in that wet race on the earlier laps so in the end mark could of won it then and there without that mistake

They didn't had a rivalry. Vettel won all seasons from 2008 with Toro Rosso to 2013. Mark raced with Vettel during those years but not against him. Vettel has a rivalry with Hamilton because they alternate on winning. Alonso and Webber just watch Vettel win from behind. Vettel won 12 seasons over Alonso. They were not rivals because of the difference in skill and achievement.

Seb had the first win for torro rosso and redbull. The car got better once seb got over to the main team.
Once you send a letter, email etc etc…straight to the boss, well you might just start looking else for a a job. You’re basically throwin everyone under the bus, and good luck trying to get anyone’s respect after that move. If the people around you don’t respect you then you won’t get anywhere.
