If they ask, don't lie, but don't go out of your way to let them know what you think just 'cause.

    What Conan is saying about cognitive therapy, is where journaling really helps me. I have "severe combined type ADHD", and as with most things, am sporadic at journaling, but in the times I can keep up with it, looking back at my journal is always an enlightening moment at how much of an idiot I really am. I use Obsidian to keep notes and just loosely write things down as I sit on my computer when they come to my mind. I use horizontal line breaks, backlinks, and # tags to add order to my chaotic ADHD brain.

    Nikki Glasser saying she is afraid of being called ugly is like an anorexic thinking they're fat, like noooooo, not remotely, but I get the reality, and feel for her.

    I can’t imagine how hard a famous female comic must be on herself, that is a lot of pressure, that societal pressure to be physically attractive yet be entertaining and take negative perspectives on yourself to make people laugh. I don’t know I’m thinking too much, love these dudes

    That 5th grade kid who called Nikki ugly was lying through his or her teeth.

    • @EG-qh6er
      @EG-qh6er Год назад +3

      I think there is a little more history behind it. I remember her saying on another podcast that her sister was extremely pretty, and she was openly portrayed by family and others as the not pretty sister. So the 5th grade insult probably fanned a flame that was already burning pretty hot for her with regard to her self-esteem.
