Thanks. Interesting though I just watched a bunch of videos of Darrell playing it here on YT and his chords are a lot more basic (I won't say simple because of what he does with them) I'll be experimenting with some things I've seen him do for example it looks like one place he plays a G then on the E6 string he's dropping down to what appears to be an F# and I'm not sure if that's part of his A or?? I'll probably combine what I see you teach here with some of what I'm seeing him do. Thanks again
Ya great stuff Andrew, a combination would be cool. DADGAD just brings in different tones and a bit of a new feel to the songs, so playing around and finding what works for you is probably the best approach. Let me know how you get on and if you make a recording of your version, send on the link here, I'd be well up for checkin it out 👍🎸😀
I just had a listen, it's great 👌 The fiddle player in my band sometimes sings it so I get to play it with him the odd time. I might have to try my own rendition at some stage 😀 I'll stick it on the to-do list 👍
Hey Steve, nice song choice. I'll stick it on the to-do list. It may be a while before I get around to it. But If you're into fingerstyle DADGAD guitar, there's a fantastic guitarist named Jacques Stotzem who plays that song. He has his free tabs here: stotzem.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/FieldsOfGold.pdf or there's another play-along version in DADGAD by Pete Huttlinger here: www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/pete-huttlinger-fields-of-gold-sting-fingerstyle-tab-s86769t0 I hope that helps!

Darrell Scott's version of Lost Highway is really good too. I think he plays it in drop D but it would probably be a great dadgad song!
