My dad taught me - maintenance was the key to anything to last. Lucky you to have a participating wife! Amazing.

I subscribe and like all your videos. Love watching. I am 71 yrs old, and it is very hard not to order me a sawmill. Makes me wonder how many sawmills you have sold……Somebody ought to be sending you some sponsorship…..smile….I got a very nice hat in the mail today, that has Wallace Farm and Sawmill on it. That hat is too nice to get sawdust all over…..looks too good to get dirty…..so this is an official Sunday/casual hat. Everybody needs to get one of these…..just saying…..Thanks guys…..love watching your channel….nice to watch you tubers that have content…..Best wishes….

Hi Y'all I didn't see a air filter it's a must. A tip on sawdust put a buskin on it and it will stop you from picking up off ground.

Very informative video. I would add 4-5 more lube points. First point is the lower pivot on the log turner. It doesn't have a grease fitting but needs some ATF from time to time. I found out about this when I started to hear a squeal when I ran the mill and realized I didn't have pigs. The other points are easily overlooked and are covered in a video I recently did. Check out # 296 and # 297.
    Keep em comin'.

Tyler, check and see if there is a grease zerk at the articulation of the auto clutch. On my LT50 he said that is one everyone forgets as it is out of sight, and very expensive to fix if it seizes. Great video!!

That is true you can over-grease and damage your equipment i have an oil can with ATF and diesel fuel mix in the can i do give them a pump twice a year especially the hard fitter to get the grease into

Hi well good job but you have missed a vital part between the head rig rails there is a black sheald it has a bolt at each end and sits on top of the guide rail remove it and you will find a felt pad put ATF on it too Cheers!!!

Over greasing is the number one cause of sealed bearing premature failure!! Too many people pump way too much grease in and blow out the seals, so with a lot of things, a little grease is good but too much is worse sometimes than none at all!! Likewise a small amount of lubrication on a regular basis goes a long way!!

Nice job of maintenance on the mill. When I had my mill I use to ATF my vertical rail when I did the vertical chain in the up and down position. I really enjoy your videos.

I hit the in guide chain and rollers as well as the guide with ATF and I think there is a grease fitting down near the head you need to remove a cover to get at , saw that on another video where they modified the cover . Some one else mentioned the mast and felt cover . I change out the fuel filter quite often . But I dont run my mill as often as you guys .

Curious on you next service, 1. If you release the fill cap will it drain faster?(air vacuum lock for drain?) 2. If you let your drain hose finish draining and leave it open and release the filter will it put more dirty oil out of the drain hose when the air seal breaks removing the filter? Great Video!

Good to see you doing a PM on your mill. As you know keeps down on repairs. How about doing an air filter clean - check while in the area of engine. Any how keep up the videos.

Lube the vertical post on your mast and the black cover between them with the wing nuts remove it and clean the sawdust and scratch it up some and add lube to it.

Not saying it’s any better but I put ATF in a wide mouth bottle and use a one inch paint brush. It keeps down on the mess.

Like i said before if you got some burlap bags and hitch one at a time and when it gets full just put a new one on and it would stop you and your wife from putting it in your bucket and take it away, just my two cents and save you some time.

That would add a huge amount of keep up. Toting full sacks every few cuts. We move 2 days worth of sawdust in less than 10 min and works out well.
