      this is what many youngsters don't get, this is actually the prime of Michael Jordan, when he came back from baseball, he was no longer in his prime, he had lost so much, especially his quickness, jumping ability and accuracy, but still good enough to be better than everyone else.

      I don't think Jordan hated him. He's never said anything bad about Isaiah. Maybe he resented some of his choices or maybe he didn't like him because of certain things we don't know but I've never seen him say anything close to hateful things. Magic didn't want Isiah, Bird didn't want him, Pippen etc. seems like most of the guys didn't want him on that dream team. When so many people don't want you surely the blame falls on that one player too ? Isiah seems like a nice guy on camera but he's a sneaky mofo :). A lot of players had issues with Isiah.

    Magic is being kind which is cool, but, Magic never got schooled as a rookie. As far as who was the better rookie, we all know of Magic's rookie year winning the Finals with no Kareem, but, add to that the fact that everyone knew in high school and college that Magic was gonna be extraordinary! Whereas MJ was gonna be good, maybe great. But he didn't have those early on school-day expectations like Magic did.
    As far as Magic needing other talent around him to win, so did MJ...one reason why it took MJ 7 years to get to the Finals! Magic made his teammates better. As far as who had better talent around them, let's remember, when MJ left to play baseball, the Bulls still made it to the Eastern Conference Finals. Whereas, when Magic retired, the Lakers barely made the playoffs, and were eliminated in the first round. The Lakers needed Magic more than the Bulls needed MJ. Lastly, just like Kobe & Shaq, MJ needed Phil Jackson in order to start winning championships, or to just make The Finals. Magic could get to The Finals, and win rings no matter who was coaching him

    Also when Oscar retired in 1974, the Bucks went from 59-23 and an nba finals appearance to 38-44 and missing the playoffs. When Jordan left the bulls in 1994, they went from 57-25 and an nba championship to 55-27 and losing in game 7 of the 2nd round against the knicks who ended up going to the finals. Thats right, when the bulls lost the GREAT Michael Jordan, they dropped a whopping 2 games in the regular season. This just shows how good pippen and those boys were with or without jordan

Now a dude might win a few rings but no-one will ever say they are the best because 'ohhh MJ had 6'...if MJ could be praised like that without the rings then anyone can now. All hail LBJ.

    mike was not self effacing as how magic was. magic was a dream to play with. no less competitive, just ten times more charismatic. mike was a bail out passer, not a creater. he'd throw it to guys after he put the shot clock into single digits. you can give the ball to a spot up shooter in that fashion, but not a first option type scorer. they need to catch ball in rythym. pippen had superstar ability yet didn't mind deferring. mj had a very unique cast. phil jackson did a masterful job.

    @william420adam I knew the Cs were stacked, but I realized how really stacked they were when I read an article with a quote from Gary Schisting who played in that legendary Cs team. He basically said that he thought that that team was the greatest because it had 3 hall of famers and 7 other players that became all stars at least once. It really puts in perspective how stacked Bird's team was. Same with Magic's.

  • @DaWoOdPrInCe

    @TheNeeks6 No, i'm clearly saying, that as a fan, and a person that follows the game, that there are players that did more than jordan, i named a few based on these kids that came on the scene when Nike blew up the 90's and pumped Jordan. Best era of basketball in my eyes was by far the 80's. And in a fan perspective, i say magic would be the GOAT, just because of his size, and skill alone, we'll never see a 6'9 pg again ever. And this was a man that put up 20 with 7 boards and 11 dimes a game.

    @omnivorous65 I don't remember him ever fouling out in a big game. The only way to take him out would be an injury. He broke his foot and was out quite awhile. And yea, Pippen and Jordan got something like 10 or more all defensive team awards each (I don't know the exact number), and their defense is often over looked. Grant was a great defender too and so was Rodman later on when they picked him up. The Lakers had Cooper and AC Green for defense, and they were good.

  • @CarlosERS89
    @CarlosERS89 12 лет назад

    Yeah if you put a number of those mid level teams from the 90's in todays game they would be heavy favorites to win the NBA title. Teams like Seattle, Phoenix, NY Knicks, Orlando, Indiana, Utah and Portland who all came close to titles would absolutely own the NBA with ease today.

    MVP wise the 3 (MJ, Magic and Bird) were tied at 3 each. So realistically at that point he really couldnt be called the greatest just yet, eventhough, and i'll be clear on this, he was the greatest at my eyes. The second 3peat really cemented MJ's status, by '98 it was undeniable.
