- A 30 ITEM WARDROBE: If I wasn’t a fashion blogger… | Inspired by Jamie Paige’s recent video, I thought I’d condense my wardrobe down to the only 30 pieces I would own (based on what I currently have) if I wasn’t a fashion blogger. My colour palette is pretty minimal, so it’s still lots of basics, but this was a LOT of fun to pull together. Items featured will be linked below, or similar where they’re old/sold out x

Love this! It would be great to see how many outfits you could make out of these 30 pieces :) xx
That’s a BRILLIANT idea! Might have to start working on this one while our son naps away as it may take a few days of filming to get through 🙈
@@mademoisellejaime Great! Yes think it might be quite a long video - sorry! xx
Great video as always and yes, that would be a fantastic idea! I would also suggest not rushing it and maybe doing it over the course of 30 actual days to see whether it is as 'easy' and 'effortless' to combine things out of these 30 items, what you would change, whether it is realistic or whether you get bored relatively quickly, etc! Something like a 'look back' on this video!😊
Yes, please! 😍 But then, with Jamie's creativity, it might have to be an hour-long video 🤣 We won't mind though. 😎
Video suggestion: a year-round wardrobe if you live in a tropical climate like me! If you could ditch the winter coats and knits but still pick out 30 summer (and sometimes rainy) -only items.
Ooh yes that would be heaps of fun to put together :)
Can I just say, I really appreciate your videos because you actually take the time to address each individual piece. It's refreshing to not only hear about a t-shirt, but this specific t shirt and how see through it is, what the quality and fit is like, etc. As someone who is trying to curate their own wardrobe, this information is so valuable! This is why I am happy to use any of your affiliate links when I purchase something. I trust your opinion! :)
Thank you so much - I'm so glad to hear that you find that information useful! And honestly, it's a big compliment too
I just purged my wardrobe and got 25 classic pieces to curate my closet. Best decision I ever made ☺️
It's crazy how many outfits you can put together with a small selection! :)
glowingmyway Impressive!
I really enjoyed this video, didn’t even feel that long . Honestly I could guess quite a few of the 30 items you would include. I love love your style so much . I am looking
Forward to a video with all the outfits ideas you would come up with 30 items . Thanks again for another beautiful video . ❤️❤️
Thanks Bhavini - I remember before I started filming, telling myself not to spend too long nattering on about each item but I can never help myself LOL. Have to share all the details. And I can't wait to film that one - I've earmarked it for the first Sunday in July, to give me enough time to film it around my son's nap time XD Hope you're had a lovely long weekend! x
i've been thinking about my wardrobe lately and this video was helpful!! thanks :)
So glad to hear! Hope you’ve been having a good weekend ❤️
OMG I would LOVE to see the many ways you could style that black tiered dress. Love it!
YES!! I'm planning to film a follow up to this with as many of the styling options as I can film (it's going to be interesting doing this around my son's nap time LOL) - so will be heaps of different ideas on how to style it x
Such great, timeless choices! 💕
Thanks so much Patti ❤️
Fun idea, loved seeing which pieces you picked out! ☺️
Thank you 😊
loved this video thank you, cant go wrong with a black bag, also loved that white/cream lacy cardigan. Will go back to you earlier videos as I think I can remember you talking about this one.
Thanks so much Jo! Yes that ones from Sezane - I like it but don't *love* it, if you know what I mean. I'm thinking perhaps I am due to do an updated review of Sezane clothing some time soon.
Great video.Your reasoning for the choices and descriptions were very interesting and helpful.
Thanks Brid - so glad you enjoyed it! x
This is so awesome. I'm working on starting over and this video was on time to help me. Please do more....😁🌻🌼
Yay so glad you enjoyed! I'm planning an outfit video as a follow up to this one x
I still like nice, clean minimal sneakers best, so I buy slip-on styles the most, they’re just a bit less casual. Love ones with some height, too, they’re more flattering on short me.
Oh nice! Yes especially in muted/neutral tones I really like those too
I love the Matteau cotton dress
Was such a major splurge but such a good basic. I wore it loads over spring/summer and can’t wait to do so again once I’m nursing a bit less often (hopefully once our boy goes on solids later in the year 🤞🏻🤞🏻). Marle - an NZ brand - so a similar style in a black silk which is equally beautiful!
This is so useful and helpful! Thank you lovely!
So glad you enjoyed it x
I loved this video, it really makes me think about the wardrobe pieces that I currently have. 💗 hope you’re all doing well in Australia from 🇨🇦
Xx Patricia
Thank you so much Patricia! And same to you - hope you're staying safe xx
So inspirational☺️ thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Hi Jamie! Hope all is well with you and yours. I love this! The queen of neutrals strikes again!!! 😍 Thank you for all your hard work. I had to giggle because a striped shirt would also be a number one piece in my wardrobe - all year round. It's funny that growing up I used to hate that print, and my mum loved her striped shirts. Now, I appreciate the simplicity and elegance of it. It's also somehow playful. Maybe I'm the only one who reads so much into it! 🙈 Have a wonderful week, Jamie! Stay well and safe, n💖🤗
Hahaha thank you Natalya. It's funny you say that, I was always the opposite. LOVED stripes even as a kid. I used to have a pretty pale pink and white striped short sleeved tee which I wore with matching pink shorts, and a long sleeved lime green one that I wore often with white dungarees :) Same to you, hope you're taking care xx
@@mademoisellejaime 💗🦋💗🤗
Definitely hunting down those Vanelli Pumps now ❤️
Hands down one of the best shoe purchases I’ve ever made 🙌🏻
This was sooo helpful! Thanks love :)
Yay glad you enjoyed it xx
I adore everlane micro rib. I want the entire line.
It's one of my favourite "product lines" they have - I've got five items from the line and they all wash exceptionally well, and I love how soft it is. Am totally with you on that one! :)
Loved all the choices. You should feature some outfit pairings with the 30 items.
Thanks Barbara and yes, will definitely be doing that! xx
Love this!
Thanks so much Maria
What a creative video. I love your style choices. Still a big fan of the Isabel Marant skirt. Video idea, what about how picked you Chanel medium flap? The decision making process, what second hand sites you were browsing, what made you choose this bag in the end (year, leather type, hardware, condition etc).
Thank you! I really enjoyed thinking about this one and filming it - can't wait to share a follow up with all the outfits I can pull together with these items.
I have got a Chanel Classic Flap Review/Story Time video earmarked to film; it's a little more challenging to get through all my video ideas these days as I'm not uploading as frequently, but I wanted to have it for a good six months + before talking about it so I can give a better review :)
mademoiselle I am sure the outfits will be 👩🍳 💋 perfect and the Chanel video will be worth the wait. Beautiful 😊
I love your style ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much Samantha! 🥰
May I ask what is the size of your chanel bag, small or medium? Thanks X
It’s the medium size x
My Vanelis are too small on one foot after breaking some toes on it last September. I just can’t find a replacement pair anywhere! Also, they have wide sizing now, which my give me just the extra width I now need, I suspect my extra toe width is permanent, they didn’t heal as straight as originally.
Oh no! I hope you're all recovered now. I think they've had wide sizing for a while, which is a great option. You'll have to let me know how you get on if you pick them up in the wide width as I'm curious how those fit. I saw Nordstrom is carrying them again! :)
Hey did you size up in the Babaton blazer or is it just designed to be oversized?
I sized down to an XS - it's quite a generous fit, and I wanted it to be a little more tailored. I think if you were after the oversized look, then stick with your usual size x
great options. Can you tell me which Black blazer you have? But, the Golden Goose are way too expensive! Hope you provide some sensible-cost-choices in your next video - for those on a budget.
Hi! It’s the agency blazer from Aritzia. It is an oversized style so I got the XS.
And as for the sneakers, I actually have a whole video on the best basics - a sneaker edition - coming this Sunday 😁
Is your vintage Chanel flap a medium size? Thank you for this video!
Yes it is! x
I’m deeply regretting the cotton shirts, blouses and dresses I got from H&M, they are such low-quality fabric that they’re virtually impossible to iron properly and wrinkle like crazy during wear. Next time, I’m upgrading to better quality. I like the brand Rails, especially their super-cool linen and viscose blends, they don’t always need ironing, and don’t wrinkle much when wearing them. I mostly shop their sales, it’s a more expensive brand, and Nordstrom Rack sometimes has them - that’s how I discovered the brand, I’ve been wearing my first shirt (striped white and terra-cotta) from them for 20 years.
I don't know that I have any cotton pieces in my wardrobe from H&M, but if it's a cotton poplin, then that in general is prone to wrinkling and creasing a lot so it won't just be down to the shirt being from H&M. I find that spritzing a small amount of water from a spray bottle onto my shirts is a good way to get rid of any stubborn creases :)
I've not owned anything from Rails but have tried their shirts on before and agree, they're lovely!
Hi Jamie lovely clothes I like this kind of video and I like you to do more of them. I love your shoes the best what kind I say I love shoes and my favorite ones are the Chanel heel slides and there are chic and beautiful. Love your videos Jamie and they are so expiring and exciting to watch. Have a wonderful day love. XO❤🤗
Thank you so much! I'm planning to do a follow up showing all the different outfits I can put together using these items. Will probably be up in just under a month to give me enough time to film it around my son's nap time haha :)
Hi! What size is your Madewell oversized black jean jacket?
I got the size S xx
Could you please do this for a work capsule!!! I’m getting ready to make mine and it’s a bit more difficult than I thought
I would love to :) I've done a few in the past called the 15 item work wardrobe - have a little search on my channel as this might give you some inspiration to start with! x
Question - do you wash your clothes every time you wear them, or do you wear them a few times and then wash them?
It depends on the item! Knitwear I will hang/air out and wear multiple times before washing. I always wear a t-shirt underneath too which helps with that. T-shirts and tanks I tend to launder after every wear. Skirts/trousers/jeans I'll usually wear a few times before they need to be washed.
Jeans are supposed to be worn a few times before washing (must air out) so that your Jean can live longer
I love how chic and easy these pieces are. Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much
Always love your pieces! Thanks for making these videos while being a mom (congratulations!) You look amazing post partum and would love to know how you recover your body
Thank you so much Bella. It's a bit of a juggle hehe :) I did a Q&A recently and talked about my postpartum body. I've got diastasis recti so trust me when I say my body isn't back to its pre-pregnancy size - I still look like I did two weeks after giving birth. I'm not in any rush, just want to try and sort out my DR as I have back issues. It took nine months to grow our son so I suspect it'll take that (and more) for my body to heal. I have found that using a belly band, and maintaining good posture has been helping, and choosing clothing which accentuates the right curves has made me feel more like my old self :)
mademoiselle thanks I will be checking out that video :) after giving birth to my girl three months ago, I realize how incredible mothers are. It’s really a 24/7 job! No break or vacation. Having a sense of the old self can be difficult sometimes but so important! And I couldn’t agree with you more about being mindful of our body and slowly letting it heal. Wishing you recover well and thank you for making these videos for us ❤️
Loved seeing what you'd choose. Absolutely LOVE your Joseph Knit!!!! Wrap tops are truly so wearable for all body types. Love the black Witchery one. And of course, it was no surprise to see your white skinny jeans xo
It's such an interesting exercise - definitely made me look at my wardrobe a little differently :) And agree on the wrap tops. Can't believe I've really only just discovered them
Really good choices Jamie, you look gorgeous in them all, I'd love to buy that Joseph (and will) if I do get to return to work, so uncertain at the moment? However If I am lucky enough, I will definitely treat myself to a " Jamie joseph" ;-) sorry to mention it again you know I've been drooling about it for sometime, I am only going to buy things you advise in future thanks Jamie Liverpool u.k xx
The Joseph sweater was a big investment when I bought it too so I feel you. I waited to get in on sale - this will be my third winter wearing it, so can’t recommend the quality and wear and tear enough (the wool isn’t itchy at all, either!). Hope you are going okay in the UK - stay safe ❤️❤️❤️
For bags, do you find you put your smaller handbag into your "mom" bag, when you're out with the baby?
Yes I've found it does fit into my tote, if I need to which is helpful, but I'll do either or :)
What you are wearing...how about the flats? They look yummy comfortable.
Do you mean the nude flats? They're these ones :) - bit.ly/39k5Rbe
@@mademoisellejaime Yes. Thanks!
