Good Day Danny. We get to see many beautiful things thanks to your channel. But that child sharing his candy with you was the most. A kind gesture to a stranger at a Holy site shows he understands Gods plan. It is a tranquil place. Keep on Digging 🍬🙏✌
Thank you Danny I really love seeing the temple mount that belongs to the Jewish people and still does. And seeing that there are still some evidence of the temple in Jesus time. We know the truth. Great job Danny
Another great one! Thank you for taking us up on the Temple Mount again, we never get tired of seeing it. We were there on 2 tours, but didn't get to see it as well as you are showing us. Thanks again, can't wait for more!
@@willoughby1888 We found going with a group was much better, first for cost & transportation, and they are much more informed with each site. They usually give you the freedom to go off on your own. The important thing is to pick a good tour, be informed, look around.
Danny, Thank you again for and outstanding video. You are the first person I look up when I get online. That's because you are showing me the most important things I want to see and know about.
Danny I pray your channel grows and helps you to keep going. You are doing amazing with your limited equipment. Thank you so much for blessing the world with these videos. Bless you in the name of Yeshua.
Amazing opening shot with the camera, the gates, and more importantly, the STEPS brought context to the rest of the tour. I encourage you to continue your work, and I also suggest that those of us who enjoy Danny's work, SUPPORT it . . . with money. I will.
@Shalom Shalom משלם is a proper Hebrew name given to males, used about 17 times in the Tanakh. It's not a name for Jews generally, who are devoted to G-d, but the proper name of particular individual people - certain men whose names were משלם = Meshullam, who were devoted to G-d, listed in the text alongside the names of many other men who were also devoted to G-d: eg. 2 Kings 22:3; 1 Chronicles 3:19; 2 Chronicles 34:12; Ezra 8:16; Nehemiah 3:4, etc. If you can show me where in the Tanakh the Hebrew word משלם means "Jews devoted to G-d", or "Muslims", I'd love to see it.
Thank you so much Danny for showing us this beautiful awesome place! I will never be able to go due to my illnesses but I'm glad you showed me & thank you so much for showing us! God bless you and your wonderful ministry! 🙏 ❤🙏
Thanks Danny for another wonderful tour and lesson. Would love to visit the Temple Mount but it was not part of the tour I was on in 2018. Hopefully coming back this year. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thank You Danny For Sharing This Beautiful Jewish History ... What Made The Holy Of Hollies So Holy Is When The Spirit Of God Of Israel Would Enter This Room ... Fantastic Production As Always Shalom
Psalm 100:4 "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name". Awesome visual presentation of the old. Great job👌 Minutes 0:35 to 1:18 👏
A great view of the entrance rarely seen, mind blowing to think of ancient pilgrims entering. Jerusalem city must have smelt like a barbeque with all the sacrifices with blood and bones everwhere. How was this cleaned and disposed of? Its amazing to think of what finds await under that platform!
We know that atleast some of it was dumped into the Kidron valley, as in parts of the Kidron valley piles of animal bones were uncovered, all the dating to the Second Temple PEriod.
@@danny.the.digger Danny, have you gone to the chapel of St Mark as a plausible sight for the last supper? You may have already and I just haven’t come across it yet.
@11:42 The Lord did not have to offer animal sacrifice because he was without sin. "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." The Lord is also a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. "The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek."
You actually have a point.. I don't think Jesus could get in to the Temple Mount with out proof he purified first in a ritual bath. But did every pilgrim entering the Temple Mount HAVE to provide a sacrifice? good question..
I meant to ask, after the video from the Pool of Siloam, what you think about the guy who says he found evidence that the Temple was actually a relatively short distance away in the City of David.
I greatly enjoy your series and am working through it, I saw another archeologist who believes the jewish temples could not have been where the dome of the rock is located because its to high and the water source couldnt get up the hill. Some feel the jewish temple was lower and closer to the water source because of the high amounts of water needed to wash away the blood from the sacrifices. Thoughts on that idea?
I am really enjoying this series! I recently came from my trip to the Holy Land and we got to go up to the Temple Mount. Our tour guide gave us a specific dress code and I made sure to cover my chest, knees and elbows. In fact my dress was longer than some of the other girls in our group and It was a not form fitting. However, once we got through security and on to the grounds I got shouted at by some guards and they made me put on a modesty skirt. Our guide didn't say anything about my outfit and in comparing what I wore to the other girls it really didn't make sense that I was called out. I was embarrassed but held my peace, took the modesty skirt and wore it. I tried to reason why I got called out and the last thing I want to claim it was because of my skin ( I'm black and was the only black woman in the group) and I am not a person who believes everyone's issue with me is my skin. Is there a specific thing I did wrong? I know its hard to say without actually seeing what I was wearing but a loose t shirt dress that stops 4 inches above your ankles, chest completely covered as well as my arms really shouldn't be cause for alarm. I want to go back but I want to be sure I don't make such a fuss.
It has nothing to do with what you wore. It is internal conflict between the Waqf and Israel on who controls the Mount and who controls its visitors. I’m sorry you had to go through this humiliating experience 😖
Hi Danny, When Zechariah, in Luke 1.9, was chosen to burn incense, was this event on Yom Kippur? Since, as you mention, the Holy of Holies was empty, of what did Yom Kippur consist? No blood could be sprinkled on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant for over 600 years (586 BCE was the last). So was the incense burning on the Golden Altar the only ritual performed on that day? Also, do you know where the Golden Altar was located, either before the Curtain or just inside it? In Lk. 1.21 the other priest were wondering why Zechariah stayed so long in the Temple which suggests he was in the Holy of Holies since the First Room would have be accessible to those waiting on him to finish. I have always thought that the Ark of The Covenant which held the testimony of the Ten Commandments conveyed a great symbol of forgiveness with The Mercy Seat covering it. Blood was sprinkled before it and on top for the sins that broke those commands contained in the Ark. What are your thoughts on this aspect during 2nd Temple worship with an empty Holy of Holies?
I thought they didn't allow cameras, or non-Muslims, on the Temple Mount? Did these policies change or are they just very relaxed now that they are so few tourists? Thank you for this. I doubt I will ever get to go in my lifetime.
You can visit the Temple Mount, but they will not let you pray openly or sing worship songs on the Temple Mount. I'm not sure if they still do this, but they used to confiscate Bibles and not let you take it with you as you ascend the steps to the mount.
Hi Danny, I'd just add one bit of nuance. While the High Priestly cohort didn't necessarily like Jesus, according to the New Testament thousands of priests - mentioned specifically - did follow him, which is a very interesting miscellaneous detail.
I think the reason Jesus got so angry at the temple was because both the money changers and the DOVE sellers ( this is quite specific) we're exploiting the POOREST worshippers, and if there is something Jesus Ministry did was talk about the necessity of taking care of the poorest people. The widow, the orphan, the lame and crippled, the leper, the possessed. Those who had little to no opportunity to earn an income and those that relied in part, on the generosity of others in the community. They still had to fullfill their duty to the temple, and they were those least positioned socially and economically to do so. So that when they did, their exploitation was sufficient to add an unjust burden. It took me years to understand this text, but I feel this adds insight to understand why it is the only time, out of potentially dozens when Jesus could have lost his composure, but didn't. Yes it was a dig at the Priests, that in the pursuit of their temple practices they were neglecting their humanity. This was echoed with his many conversations with the Pharisees too, who's legalism and keeping of the law, had them doing the same.
No imagine of God of the Jews no controlling the people by destroying the image even if you don’t believe in God it was a wise move and when the Palestinians( philistines) stole the ark they had problems
Why would Israel agree to allow the Arab Authority to turn the cavern under the Temper Mount into another mosque? There's already two on the mount. And who knows what archeological treasures were destroyed in the process. It also irritates me that Israeli Antiquity Authority are not allowed to perform archeological exactions on the mount but the Muslims are permitted to literally build structures on, around and under the Mount.
Regarding the sacrifice and bathing. If one looks scholarly at it. If Jesus was who said he was (as I believe) then he did not offer any sacrifice. Because sacrifice was for atonement of sin, and Jesus, as the unblemished Lam, was sinless. So no, he did not sacrifice. Same goes for ritual bating.
Ezekiel 8 KJV _16 And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, _*_with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east._* This event happened exactly as it is now. Muslims worship at Al-Jami' al-Qibli a mosque overlooking the Kaaba in Mecca, so people who pray turn their backs to the Dome of the Rock where the Temple of the Lord once stood. The Jews worship at the Western Wall so that their faces face the East. They all worshiped other gods. _17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? _*_Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence,_*_ and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose._ The guilt of the people in Jerusalem was not light by doing all that.
