Wife just started and homestead herd (5 goats 4 does one buck). Her dream is to have milk, cheese etc.. You have made a wonderful contribution in simple easy to follow instructables.
Great video! I'm a third-generation (cheddar) cheesemaker from Wisconsin, but I live in Colorado and see more goats than dairy cows. I'm going to follow your easy instructions. It's roasted chile season. Thanks for making it look so easy!
This was easy to make! Thanks for showing me how. I only had 1 quart goat’s milk and I got 3/4 C cheese and 1 pint and a 1/2 of whey. So I’d assume: 1/2 gallon milk (2quarts) gives 1 1/2 C cheese 1 gallon (4quarts) gives 3 C cheese 😊
I don’t subscribe to much on here unless the content is well put together with no bs and the creator clearly know what they are doing. This was so well explained thank you so much for putting good goat content out here!
I just made my FIRST batch of raw goat milk Farmer’s Cheese by your recipe using apple cider vinegar!!! It turned out great!!!! I’m so excited to make other of your recipes!
As many other people commented, THANK YOU for sharing, and doing so beautifully! This was my first attempt at making cheese from our goats and I needed up only having a 32 quart pot at my disposal and a ton of frozen milk and it turned out FABULOUS🎉 it did take more than 2 hours of continual stirring to not scald but it was well worth it in the end!! I will be binge watching your page the next few days 😂 🫶
Thank you I will have to try this for my family. We bought dairy goats for milk butter and cheese. I'm trying to get us out of the store and more healthy. My little one will love making this with me . Keep up the hard work and wonderful videos.
Love this, was trying to figure out how my dad made goat cheese and I'm almost positive this is how. I cracked up when you put all the onion on because when you picked it up I thought to myself man I'd be putting all of it in there lol I love onion too
I really just wanted the whey, but I needed to make farmer's cheese to get the whey for making gjetost, and this looks fantastic! Now I am equally excited about the farmer's cheese as the whey for gjetost!
Enjoyed watching your video.. you are polite... courteous.. straight forward and factual..very informative young lady....me and my wife are retired and have considered getting just a couple dairy breed nannies for the cheese and milk..I have a couple questions for you if u don't mind.....what do u do with the remaining milk after you remove what you need to make the cheese ? Also...is there a certain dairy breed you prefer ?
I am learning how to make cheese. This is so simple and the Braggs ACV is wonderful. Ty for such a nice recipie and tutorial. Does it taste like feta except with herbs or is it more like a soft, herb infused spreadable cheese?
This cheese looks amazing Crystal 👍🏻. And yes, love onions too! If you ever want to adopt a grown woman to come help out some time. Let me know! Lol. Much love💗💗
Hello and thank you for showing us how to make goat cheese, but what I want to ask you is, does the goat milk needs to be boiled before drinking as the cow milk?
O my goodness delicious recipe I tried your ice cream .. its yummy my family loved it 😍 .. would you be able to do one on a cream cheese style goat cheese
I have a few questions. 1. Is that Grade A pasteurized goat milk. I have always bought the raw goat milk straight out of the goat. Then used the Chèvre Culture (C20G) after the milk reached 86’F I removed it and sat inside my oven for about 6/12 hours and it was cheese. I don’t know this process. With the cost of raw goat milk crawling up.?Thank you
I made some cheese today after watching your video. My curds were much smaller and they stuck to the cloth. Can you tell me where I may have messed up please?
That is called whey and it has so many uses. It can be used for making Ricotta, chickens and dogs love it, garden plants love it, baking, pouring on compost for extra nutrients.. many things :)
You can use the whey to lacto ferment food. You can also use it to soak oats (or other grains/beans) overnight. Or give it to pigs, or other farm animals .
Followed the same exact way you did it...but I didn't seem to get the same amount as you did. Also it never came to the top of the pan...more like sank to the bottom after I added ACV and stirred...thoughts?
Would this work if I cut the recipe in half? 1/2 gal milk and 1/4 cup ACV? I’ve only got one Nigerian doe in milk at the moment and I don’t think I need that much cheese for just myself…
I love watching you make this recipe with the goat's milk however I have a question I didn't get it if you make the cheese with pasteurized goat milk or just raw? And after it got two 162° and add the vinegar did you turn the stove off before you let it sit? I'm pretty sure you did however you didn't mention it I just want to be sure
finally got some fresh goats milk to try this recipe , unfortunatly i didnt get the curd separation when I added the vingar at 162F. some small curd on the bottom of the pot but that was all. what did I do wrong 😒

I love that all you added was ACV! No rennet needed. I love finding recipes that keep it simple! Thank you for sharing.
Goat cheese is so yummy and I love the varieties it pairs with Cranberry and other fruits and herbs as well.
Very good. The additional herbs add character!
Great video! I'm a third-generation (cheddar) cheesemaker from Wisconsin, but I live in Colorado and see more goats than dairy cows. I'm going to follow your easy instructions. It's roasted chile season. Thanks for making it look so easy!
I laughed out loud when you dumped the onion saying ‘ok, I love onion’
Watched a bunch of how to make goat cheese, yours was the best! Thanks for the info!

I don’t subscribe to much on here unless the content is well put together with no bs and the creator clearly know what they are doing. This was so well explained thank you so much for putting good goat content out here!
Great video! I love when you just gave up and dumped ALL the onion in, because that’s just what I would do! LOL
I just made my FIRST batch of raw goat milk Farmer’s Cheese by your recipe using apple cider vinegar!!! It turned out great!!!! I’m so excited to make other of your recipes!

Love this, was trying to figure out how my dad made goat cheese and I'm almost positive this is how. I cracked up when you put all the onion on because when you picked it up I thought to myself man I'd be putting all of it in there lol I love onion too

What do you do with the whey??
Do you reuse the cheese clothe?
Can cheese be made with the goat can milk?
I was wondering that to. The milk I saw at the grocery store is Meyenberg goat milk in the can. I hope she let's us know.
Is it degrees centigrade or degrees Fahrenheit, please?
Do you not add rennet?

Can you make it with Meyenberg goat milk in the can. The store doesn't sell fresh goats milk.
Yay! I'm trying to figure out what to do with all this milk 😆
Do you have to use stainless?
Thanks! Looks great 👍🏻 Throw all that onion in there 😂
How do you clean your cloth?
Hello and thank you for showing us how to make goat cheese, but what I want to ask you is, does the goat milk needs to be boiled before drinking as the cow milk?
O my goodness delicious recipe I tried your ice cream .. its yummy my family loved it 😍
.. would you be able to do one on a cream cheese style goat cheese
I just may have to :)

Where is your thermometer from??
How long does it take for you to get a gallon of milk from 14 does?
My Little Farm- One good dairy doe, or two decent ones.
I get 5-6 gallons a day from my 14 girls :)
Did you use raw goat milk or can I use pasteurized from the store?
What do you do with your whey
Question... what do you make with whey
Not much with the whey from this cheese. Chickens love it plants love it
🤔 how does it taste ?
Delicious!
I have a few questions. 1. Is that Grade A pasteurized goat milk. I have always bought the raw goat milk straight out of the goat. Also, can I use a yogurt strainer in place of cheese cloth?
How much vinegar?
I made some cheese today after watching your video. My curds were much smaller and they stuck to the cloth. Can you tell me where I may have messed up please?
What do you do with the excess milk after getting curds out?
That is called whey and it has so many uses. It can be used for making Ricotta, chickens and dogs love it, garden plants love it, baking, pouring on compost for extra nutrients.. many things :)
Great video & looks yummy! Now do you use the whey to make something else?
You can use the whey to lacto ferment food. You can also use it to soak oats (or other grains/beans) overnight. Or give it to pigs, or other farm animals .
Good for plants too and chickens!
Great to know Crystal that it can be used on plants which I will be trying out this year after I make my goat cheese😊
Can’t wait until my tiny herd produces goats milk 🤩
You are one step closer!! Drive safe!!
What to do with all that whey?
Where is the recipe located
Followed the same exact way you did it...but I didn't seem to get the same amount as you did. Also it never came to the top of the pan...more like sank to the bottom after I added ACV and stirred...thoughts?
Mine too
How long you can keep it in a fridge?
why apple cider vinegar vs. white vinegar?
Would this work if I cut the recipe in half? 1/2 gal milk and 1/4 cup ACV? I’ve only got one Nigerian doe in milk at the moment and I don’t think I need that much cheese for just myself…
How many weeks is the shelf life for this farmer’s cheese?
I love watching you make this recipe with the goat's milk however I have a question I didn't get it if you make the cheese with pasteurized goat milk or just raw?
And after it got two 162° and add the vinegar did you turn the stove off before you let it sit? I'm pretty sure you did however you didn't mention it I just want to be sure
Oh, lawdy! I'm too hungry for this video 😅 That looks sooooo good!
