Is there an explanation as to WHY we use ax * -8x to equal 24x^2 in question 13? Because it seems like it was just some without any reason and I’m not sure as to how and when to apply that method
So looking at the khan academy explanation, once you multiply both sides by ax-2 to flatten the equation you are left with: 24x^2-25x-47=-8ax^2+16x-3ax-47. Because of the last terms being the same I guess the first terms also have to be the same to make the equation true so 24x^2=-8ax^2. He simply did a shortcut where he just assumed after seeing the type of equation that this would be the case. Khan academy explains it as Based on the first term of the quotient, -8x we know that (24x^2)/ax=-8x. Edit: Such a time waster if you don't know the trick, seems wrong to me...
@@haydenrhodea761 i’m mostly struggling with math right now, so the math videos help me out a bunch! And i’ve already sent your videos to my friends who are taking the SAT this weekend! :]
you do the square root on both sides for (x-11)^2 = 25 to get x-11 = +/-5. Solve for both positive 5 and negative 5. Sketch the y=25 line and make it go across the parabola (x-11)^2 for better understanding of where the A and B values are coming from.
so basically 16 could be A and 10 could be B. The question tells you to find the length of AB. To find the length between those points, you would just find the difference between those values by subtracting them and make it an absolute value if needed since distance cannot be negative.
this is late but when you sqrt something it makes the number have both a positive and negative side. The symbol for the sign would be the + sign on top and a - sign underneath it. This means "plus or minus" so you have to solve for -5 and 5.
For number 19 you could have just subtracted 100 from 1700 because there were two burgers. Then divide 1600 by 5 to get 320. Lastly add 50 to 320 to get 370 for one burger.
Great job! Your content is so underrated

bro what is #13 that tip was so confusing. Why did you decide to take those two and multiply them? Im so confused...
Is there any actual practise tests from sat except from 10 tests uploaded in college board
No, but I’ll be making videos on some released past SAT tests soon!
In question 10 I didn’t understand how you got 10 as answer

@@gimmeasekkond7525 bruv where did he get 6 from
@@chukwumauzoma4581
6 - 11 = -5
-5^2 = 25
For no 10, I though -5^2 = 25, but sqrt of 25 does not equal -5?
