This is the clearest tutorial about Japanese short rows I have ever seen. Not only tell me how, but also why! Thanks a lot!

So well explained, especially that tricky bit on the purl side, thank you! How do I adjust a pattern to substitute this method for wrap & turn -- should I make the turn before or after as written for w&t, or is it the same?

thank you! Annri here :) If substituting this short row method for wrap & turn, knit or purl up to and including the stitch that would get wrapped. In wrap & turn, one stops, wraps the next (unworked) stitch, and then turns. In order to get the same shaping rate with this stitch marker method, you’ll want to turn after what would be the wrapped stitch. I hope this helps!

I say “Annri here” as though that should mean something to you. 😅 I am the one who recorded this video for Spun.
