Unfortunately, the hitch doesn't fit Corolla AWD models, and there isn't another hitch fit that will. I sure wish we had better news for you. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/CURT/C34UR.html
They don't. The hatchback uses a completely different hitch, # C11567. You can check out the install here: www.etrailer.com/tv-install-curt-trailer-hitch-2020-toyota-corolla-hatchback-c11567.aspx
The fish wire is included, along with all the hardware necessary to complete the install. You can see the hardware list on the install sheet I've linked for you below: www.etrailer.com/instructions.aspx?pn=C34UR
I agree, it is a pain but the hitch mounting flange needs to be in direct contact with the frame member of the vehicle. The heat shield needs to be trimmed to accomplish that. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/CURT/C34UR.html
thanks so much for this. very clear for 2023 corolla
Thanks, we're glad it was helpful!

It's really stupid to have to trim a heat shield to put a hitch in
