I get it, they're birds....wading in the water, eating, communicating with each other across the river, even stealing from each other, all while the hunters look for them........but also notice that there are no real birds in the water or land......thats because the river doesn't support life anymore, so why risk your life being in it or even around it?!

Rick Funes: I totally agree. Beautiful clothes; attractive models; ugly, depressing post-apocalyptic scenery/setting. This has been a distressing year (world wide). Why add to the ugliness and hoplessness?

Great way to talk about the absurdity of the luxury world in a society that is falling apart, from disaster to disaster. Beautiful metaphorical scene of immigration and the mud bath. I love Glazer.

I found the video disturbing which I’m sure was the point. However, I still could see the clothes. The dresses were beautiful, lyrical against the uncomfortable backdrop. I loved the clothes. Isn’t that the point in the end?

I love this so much! He somehow made laying in a couture dress in the mud look elegant. The whole film is a work of art, and I love the simple elegance of this collection!

If you know anything about “Mudlarking” you will know that when applying for a permit, you are warned that the water and foreshore are toxic with bacteria.

Beautiful clothing. Hand made. Dragged through polluted water and sand. As were the models. We have got to stop being oh so artsy at the expense of other people's labor and safety. Are you selling clothes, or is this a movie trailer? Either way, I'm disappointed.
I don't think it was actual polluted water but it probably alludes to the condition of people working in fashion industry, I mean those who work in unhealthy conditions.

Swimming in the Thames is actually a thing. I'm guessing this lot got their shots, kept their mouths out of the water, and got hosed down really well afterward.

Also people on here acting like models don’t have to get down in the dirt and muck all the time. Having been a fashion photographer for years, getting down and dirty is a big part of being in shoots. Everyone who was in the show is fine. They would have been careful about what they did and how they did it. Also as someone who survived insane floods with a similar river here in Australia and didn’t die when I waded around in flood waters for the week it took for them to go away and helped clean mud from houses, I have a compromised immune system and even I didn’t get sick, calm down and enjoy the show

So close to Mr McQueen's aesthetic... creating something pure and untouched simply to fill it with decadence. I feel close to McQueen again for the first time in a long time... Rest in Power, Mr McQueen.

When models use drugs
Definitely not Glazer's best work, that's for sure. It is burdened by the sort of pretentiousness one is more likely to see in the work of a second-year film studies student who takes themselves far too seriously. Hackneyed poses, an over-reliance on juxtapositions and a heavy-handed attempt at drama and mystery that comes off as silly and campy. There is no end to the number of music and fashion videos out there that are far more creative. Rather than serving McQueen's lovely designs, the film does them a disservice.
That was beautiful! I understood the concept, the idea and the illusion of the collection! Love it!
Typical Glazer: very intense, but makes no sense. High fashion in mud and icy water... a new form of decadence? I love some of his videos, but for this I give a thumb down.

You must be quite young if you think this is a new kind of fashion show - back in the day we had actual designers who make art, not just pop-stars who make more trash.

Sooooo I don't think mcqueen would have been all over these outfits. They are amazing however nothing avant-garde about them. More like Valentino and Moschino hybrid....dirty Valentino...to verify my opinion go ahead and look at his collections up until his death in ...2011..was it?completely different. His vision is gone.

I dunno, I think this was just a wee bit pretentious and empty, and made me realise just how over models I am, per se. I want to see distinctive and distinguished looking people in these clothes, not waify teens all the bloody time. I think McQ is going in the right direction with that, but still... this tenuous content would be so much more impactful with faces and bodies that packed a punch.

I thought it envisioned a post- apocalyptic world in a river that no longer sustains life. This is how different people will react in this world; some will become marauders, some will take to sneaky thievery, some numbly explore, some will wave back in hope to another human, some make mud angels and lie down in the mud to die happily .
