All Bosses From Lowest Runes to Highest Runes in Order Randomized Stats Challenge in Elden Ring
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 22 ноя 2024
- All Bosses from lowest runes to highest runes may sound a little to easy for a challenge run, so lets add some rules! First, all stats are randomized, determined by a d8 die roll. Second, no early game grinding or smithing stones. If we haven't been to a location for a boss, we can't go there. and the Third and final rule: we must suffer! This was the longest challenge run yet!

Started from the bottom, now we... stay at the bottom for a long time
I had this challenge run idea of only using weapons, items, armors, etc. that start with a specific letter. Interested in trying that kind of run?
(With the exception of both flasks, items that heal poison & scarlet rot, Purifying Crystal Tear, and the Serpent-Hunter because screw Rykard)
@@gdnowl or maybe something where each item you pick must be the alphabetically next one
Maybe exclude the compulsory boss drops though
You did a normal run as a challenge run. Inspiring
I feel like this would still be cool but you'd be less miserable if you gave yourself advantage on the stat rolls
POV: America's Lower Class (I will never be rich in my life)
Video idea: taking the wackiest paths to beat the game.
Example: fighting Rykard and Mohg for your 1st 2 shardbearers and then using the Fia's Champs teleporter to enter the capital. Just in general take the most counter intuitive path to complete the game possible
We kinda did that with the minimum bosses run: Radahn, Mohg, Tree Sentinel, Shade, Morgott, Fire Giant, Godskins, Maliketh, Gideon, Godfrey, Elden Beast
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 I feel like this one is slightly different though, since it's not factoring in efficiency
Oh man, the elation in chat when we finally got to the last few bosses and Phil could go wherever he wanted and had the stats to actually use decent weapons was amazing. We were all suffering together in these streams.
hate upon you for name dropping. I like my content anonymous. Now I have to contend with such a silly name while enjoying the entertainer.
Really agree with your point that Night's Cavalry goes from really fun and memorable to basic enemy just by sticking so many in the game. Runs like this show how diluted the fun got filling out the corners of the world
I don't know why but this just made me think that a mod where all of the basic enemies have been replaced with little chibi versions of the games bosses and all of the bosses have been replaced by giant mosnter versions of the basic enemies might be kind of funny. Probably wouldn't actually be very interesting for very long though. Just a random thought that popped into my head.
Yeah, you've fought a Night's Cavalry before. But what about- literally just another one. We changed nothing. Boop.
This is a major problem in Open-world games (to be fair Elden Ring is far better than most). I'll take a nice and tight 10 to 20 hour game over a huge but often repetitive game the vast majority of the time.
@swampert564 good point, games like breath of the wild have way less enemy diversity, though more dungeon diversity.
@@zenebean Breath and Tears are excellent too but I'd take the majority of the series over them most of the time. Both of them and Elden Ring are definitely games that give me hope for the future of Open-worlds though. Cory Barlog had a quote talking about God of War 2018 where he said "it's open but not open-world". I find that approach preferable, give me variety and options but it doesn't need to be epically scaled just for the sake of being large.
Maybe the real Royal Revenant counter was the healing spells we found along the way
Healing the RR? Why would I do that? It's my ENEMEY
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Sorry if its a joke and I dont get it, but if you really didnt know. Heal spells do really good damage against them.
@@SwagTheDripperyou are the problem.
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Hey did you know healing spells do damage to royal revenants?
@@artezac shut up
Honestly, the tangent on promiscuity versus polyamory was pretty good. I enjoyed listening to it, so I'm glad you left it in.
Being an open world game really was a blessing and a curse for Elden Ring
I love that I can start almost any build at almost any time, but the amount of filler on top of that is just too much
I mean it's simple enough: just don't do it. Like, sometimes I have to, but most of the time you can just say no
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033I ignore the open world almost entirely, sometimes I forget to pick up the wonderous physick until mountaintop of giants. Really not that hard to ignore.
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 idk I feel like I'm not really good enough to just skip it cuz I end feeling under levled by time I have the build I want. And by then like the first third of all the filler ain't worth the runes so I'm kinda just doing the same altus/leyndell/dragonbarrow bs
@MarzaButTube just saying if you time killing dragon greyoll when she's sleeping by ft hoight and run to the grace you get like 30k runes amd she won't die so you csn do it all again. Katana to the tail is the safest way.
In the Auriza Hero's Grave you can use Margit's Shackle to cause the third chariot to drop and skip the puzzle.
Ok, but I forget that
challenge idea: elden ring but only using items from the twin maiden husks main shop 🐟
Twins?
Great vid. Looking forward to Secret Starting Class: Soldier of Godrick
I'm actually working on something for that.
Your finding a new way to play this game every week is a continuous high point. Thanks for suffering through bad ideas like this to make such awesome videos. They're hilarious.
You know, I'm glad I found your channel early on, I don't have to binge watch all the videos, they just pop up in my recommended once in a while, it's always great fun to watch your videos.
Just from the run time and the jokes last week I know this is going to be a good one
Or a bad one
Sure it may be a long way away but with random stats and so much fatigue from crawling your way up the ladder of bosses will you be able to make the swag jump to safety first try.
I would never whiff that... twice.
Now do middle to extreme.
Get the mean of the bosses runes. Go In order of closest to farthest away from that.
Sounds pretty average
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033I know it's pretty middle of the road but it could fun
That would be hell, especially if you recalculate the mean after eliminating each boss.
I enjoyed this run a lot. It was cool seeing every boss and how they stack up compared to others. I also really like seeing you use different weapons through out the run. the randomized stats part of the challenge actually seemed really fun. I think I might try it.
was waiting for this one every since the highest to lowest one was made
Wait no longer
As a poly person, thanks for not cutting the joke and giving some positive and informative representation instead!
Of course, thanks for being a good sport about it haha
Common “Suicide Squad” L followed by a common Dr. Frank-N-Furter W
Fully based editing again
What is this? We some kinda "Notification Squad?"
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 100%-spent forever lurking and laughing quietly, enjoying the Dr. Worm needle drops and nut jokes, but I really gotta give the scripting and editing props when it catches me as hard as they past weeks have
omfg, I started playing Elden Ring around halfway thru the video, and at around 47:00 I was fighting the same exact Erdtree Avatar and right when I beat it and the Lord Rune popped up you said "It drops a lord's rune." It felt like you were narrorating my personal game for a second there lmao
The best thing I’ve heard in any RUclips video: at 8:00 “who gives a shit? This video isn’t going to fix the housing market”
What if you played Elden Ring in your favorite way next video? Like pick up whatever weapons you like, do it in whatever order you like, etc.?
The best pasta dish has got to be the god ol' meat pie, the Lasagna, because you just can't beat the classics
Meat pie? I'd call it a tomato cake
I tried to do this once a while back, inspired by the highest > lowest run and... yeah, it sucks. I forgot where I just gave up on it, but it was bad. 100% agree on avoiding the caves and tunnels you don't need to hit to make it more fun overall.
21:10 it's really jarring to hear cage the elephant in unexpected places but 🗣️🗣️CAGE THE ELEPHANT MENTIONED🗣️🗣️🔥🔥 ALL THE SAME BAYBEE‼️‼️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
As someone who is currently working in a call centre job (from home) i can confirm that playing elden ring this way is definitely more fun
also thankyou for getting me through my last hour of my shift it was needed xx
Yeah call that recency bias haha @@joshvalenti9154
I’ve literally been waiting for this ALL YEAR
Wait no longer
It’s like having a starting at the bottom of the ladder and going up
Yeah, google "Tulok Bottoming" on your work computer to find out more
I think the demo human duo boss is my favorite early game boss when you do it how they obviously intend. Feels super fun and epic
The Work Computer bit is an amazing bit keep it up
As someone who just completed the legendary edition: Your Miranda joke is appreciated lol
For real, people give her a pass and I hate it. She is just as bad as Ashley
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 yeah I let Ashley die because I hated her guts, however I let Miranda live to have everyone live
I had my suspicions about this run since last week.
This.... is well beyond my guesses...
Yeah, it was supposed to come out before hot ones, but we were like.... 30 bosses in after 6 hours
Tulok for so many videos has been so good. One of the best youtubers
This was a wild run to watch almost all of live! Great video as always :))
Love you putting a saint Motel Song in here!
That's Cory's business, and he does a great job
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 then give Cory my kindest thanks!
You have no idea how much joy I felt after hearing niche TMBG song Dr Worm after the boss you called Dr Wormface. This will not be forgotten.
I love a hardcore challenge run. This is not that, but I loved your lack of care and priority of fun over everything!!! Keep up the amazing work!
It’s Thursday and I’m so happy that I’m subscribed so that this video pops to the top of my list.
Having to pick my favorite pasta dish is so hard. I love so many of them, but I do want to become better at making my own potato gnocchi! Hmm.. now I am hungry, and thinking about some delicious cheese tortellini that is in the freezer but could be in my belly...
Gnocci is such a special food, it tastes unlike anything else
Tulok: Hopefully this gave you a nice long poop break.
Someone watching this on the toilet at work: SHIT, I'M SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING!!!
My favorite pasta dish has to be either deep-fried raviolis or stuffed shells. Both are terrible for me, but I don’t care.
Stuffed shells are awesome
This was basically my first playthrough of the game, but I was trying to do holy only with the Cypher Pata (I didn't know about stance damage until a week after I finished the run). I didn't get all the bosses, and got so lost and am so much worse at the game than you Tulok is, and my final time was 120+ hrs. I'm only now considering going back and trying a fun, planned out run. Kinda want to do a crucible knight run, but without the restrictions Tulok had.
You could mash so many mini-dungeons together in this game to form bigger dungeons...
If you took out most of the tunnels, caves, catacombs, and yes some of the heroes graves in this game, and instead focused on making legacy dungeons out of:
-Fringefolk Heroes Grave
-Ruin Strewn Precipice
-Sellia, Town of Sorcery (and Sellia Hideaway, which you could merge with the Funny Limgrave Trap Tunnel to be an entrance to greater Sellia)
-the Shaded Castle
-Castle Sol
You'd have one optional dungeon for all 5 *Major* locations in the game, not counting the smaller sections of those areas like Consecrated Snowfield, Dragonbarrow, and Mt. Gelmir.
Scatter the upgrade materials, and most of the items from the minidungeon or field bosses that they clearly didn't know what to do with in there, and all of a sudden most of the encounters would feel way more meaningful. If you're really struggling for room, give every area like 2 field bosses to fit in anything that can't be fit in a dungeon and isn't already a repeat boss or bulked-up enemy.
Maybe have there be one *big* catacomb in Consecrated, like have that be Secret Path to the Haligtree. Or in Dragonbarrow. Give Dragonbarrow some reason to exist beyond housing bosses you can exploit for big runes early game and also Beast Clergyman.
I understand redundancy, it's an open world AND a souls game, players are bound to miss shit, and you want them to have plenty of opportunities to get crucial stuff like smithing stones, spirit ashes, or glovewort. But come on, most of these just feel like the developers trying to find somewhere to put these items because there's nowhere in the massive overworld. And in my opinion, I think the playerbase would forgive them for making the overworld smaller in return for more classic souls-like dungeoncrawling for this stuff.
Giving a like and comment both in solidarity for the call centre folk and for the effort you put in Phil!
Hey Phil always love the backing music to the vids. You got me itching to play three houses again
That's actually Cory!
18:50 i cant believe my boy put a suicide squad reference and not thr good idris elba one. thats the most insane random joke ive ever heard
It's called Squad posting
Pirate build with anchor when?
As someone who HAVE to grav every item. Elden ring is both a nightmare and a pleasure.
Hello from Quebec !!
Re:the demihuman revolution--I started using those boys in my first real run and they have been surprisingly helpful. There are a lot of them and they have a decent amount of variety which is great for dealing with ruins and other places which have several kinds of enemy.
44:30 alternatively you can sprint to the little cubby by the Basilisks and pop Margitt's Shackle and all the Chariots explode. Neat
You keep my yt elden ring addiction alive
As a former smoker, there are worse things to be addicted too
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 thanks man for replying love your videos
For the catacombs with the imps, I personally like using a medium shield and guard countering them after they bonk off the shield (once their poise runs out). It's one of the few spots guard countering is really good.
Also for deathbirds and deathrite birds, Sacred Blade (Ash of War is in Limgrave so can get immediately) shreds them even if you don't have any faith.
Not bad, but now it's time for alphabetical order from the middle letter of each boss' name. If the boss has an even amount of letters, take the average of the middle two.
That sounds just specific enough to get 1 MORBILLION views
My favorite pasta has gotta be the classic spaghetti dish haha
Classic for a reason
36:14. Wow. Ummm... Thank you. It is rare to see that much nuance with the topic of poly relationships. It is much appreciated. Came a bit out of left field for an Elden Ring RUclipsr to have that take, but it is a much welcomed surprise.
Elden ring is my new favorite game and rocky horror is my favorite movie. You just became a top tier tuber
And cage the elephant is my favorite band? Unrelated but I’m writing about God and my speaker just went off randomly at 5 am, I’m very concerned right now
Nice I’ve actually been excited for this video
It's a pretty good one if you don't mind my saying so
Rick, Soldier of God only let you beat him. Do not underestimate him.
He’s just being nice, Rick knew he was doing a challenge and let him do it
"Given the choice between those two, I choose the latter."
*Cuts to footage of climbing a ladder*
These are the edits we come for.
18:47 I hate that I instantly realized the reference the moment you said “he’s got my back”
Truly the greatest cinematic experience.
What are we, some sort of Notification Squad?
22hrs and so is the standard of my runs (I don't have any, and I like to loiter around, also I'm bad), so seeing you do everything in just that is pretty neat.
God I love how horrible jumping seems. You may or may not know but it’s always good to know that you can, infact, jump over the shitty crucible tail swipes. (I learned this trying your crucible knight build lmao.)
Fallingstar beast might just be your bread and butter, everyone struggles with bell bearing hunter but i always saw it as an easy field boss compared to others, tho subjective its really interesting to see how people struggle and dont on differing fights
Level 102 here I’m pretty strong the first couple bosses here are so easy it doesn’t require skill glad I came across this video
Fun fact you can actually summon for the black knife in Liurnia as long as you've done some of the D quest line and if he's dead for one reason or another then you're on your own.
I have never seen the death bird get killed by the troll. Today I learned
Today you leanred twice
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 that I did. In future runs I will seek John Cena’s help
Gotta be based
if you need a parry weapon early you can buy the parrying dagger from patches which is almost as good as the buckler parry
" do we reset? no. there's a much simpler solution: *who gives a shit?* "
lmao, y'know what fair point
39:06 was so epic and hype it gave me chills
Funnily enough, I DID enjoy my region-locked all-bosses cosplay run. Of course, it helped that it was the first all-bosses run I had ever done. Also haven't done any since.
Probably helped that you didnt have random statd
Man a whole hour of Tulok we’re getting spoiled this week
Spaghetti Bolognese! Did anybody ask? Actually, yes! Also I don’t know many pasta dishes.
Bolognese is awesome! and I did ask
25:25 "i don't even remember what the reward is, what the hell?"
it's the visage shield. which is actually amazing. i'm doing a playthrough with it right now and it's honestly kind of ridiculous
Once again I‘ll bring up my dream of an all-killer-no-filler version of Elden Ring so no one gets baited into doing boring shit. I don’t mind field bosses like Night‘s Cavalries or Deathbirds that much as the thing that makes them feel the most repetitive is the boss health bar but most of the catacombs just aren’t interesting enough for the time one has to spend to complete them.
Exploration is one of the most fun aspects in From games and even in my first playthrough I felt disincentivized to do it and that hasn’t happened in any of their other Soulsesque titles.
Commenting for that engagement, all hail the algorithm.
I salute you
This shall make a great video to go with my lunch. Gonna make a big bowl of ramen and enjoy the show!
hey, you might even have leftovers for tomorrow with how long this one is
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 I'm back for my second helping!

Katana run when?
Im a cliffbottom. Thanks for entering us
No problem
this sounds like a fun run casually without the randomized stats
To be fair, it makes sense that there’s more than 1 Knight’s Cavalry because a cavalry is a group, you just happen to be fighting or 2 at a time.
The Deathrite Bird kill gave me an idea
Finish the game, but every boss it is possible to kill by luring other enemies to must be killed exclusively by other enemies' damage
You can use Margits shackle in the catacombs so the columns go down especially in 47:18 but it works anywhere
1 hour of Phil, lets go, He set us up for this like 10 or 20 runs ago when he mentioned GinoMachino, if I bindged a 5 hour video this 1 hour video will be cake❤❤❤❤❤
i know you might not wanna do it but a vods youtube channel to save all your vods would be nice, being able to watch the vods of older challenges would be great
We're working on that, I just keep forgetting to figure out how to get chat on screen so I don't look like a psycho talking to myself
He should use soldier of godriks armor
WE will one day
Beast repellent torch is pretty good for the basilisks, they just ignore you even when it's on your back
In regards to the crucible tail, i got it before even being close to killing any remembrance bosses. Through casual play i am now in the Mountaintop of the Giants and have just now gotten enough faith to use it 😂
got here 4 mins after release, this aught to be fun:)
Google "Tulok 4 minute release" on your work computer
44:40 "while you're waiting for it to pass a basilisk will come in and vape you out of your safety hole"
Congrats on 100k!
The kick thing is wild, I had no idea that was a thing
Don't feel afraid to get political, it's always great to see an elden comrade
You actually CAN kill the crucible knight+misbegotten before radahn, but i believe you either need to go through the castle and meet them or simply go through the castle BEFORE the festival starts. Doesnt really matter in this run considering the amount of runes they give though.
It's pretty funny which bosses certain people find difficult/easy. Like I heard so many people talk about how hard commander Nihil is and both times I fought him I killed him on my first attempt in less than 2 minutes. The selia tunnel fallingstar beast kills me all the time though
In carian manor to the right of carian piercer there’s another small buckler shield called the ice crest shield that’s good early game parry shield and can change the ash of war.
Love that this is Basicaly an excuse for a vigor run with the bloodhound’s fanf
… just remembered stats are random. So… bloodhound’s fang
Was NOT prepared for a saint motel song in my funny elden ring video
This was largely what my first playthrough was like. I didn't move to a new area until I was sure I had found every cave, tunnel, and catacomb. Fellow gamers, don't do this, it was as miserable as Phil's experience. More so because it was 132hrs of suffering.
