Let's journey together!
I am in the US Army and used to work for the Walter Reed Project in Kenya. My sweetest memories of Kenya are visiting Kericho and Finlay's. There is something majestic about the location and the people. What I wouldn't give to get back there and spend the rest of my days!
The beauty of these area is just heavenly. I would love to retire in such a place.
I was born and brought up in Kericho. Those days it used to be called African Highlands (AHP). I also worked for Walter Reed in 2012.Cherish the memories as life is fleeting. Beautiful place beautiful people.
Bro I live here mahn wassup
Kongoi! You finally got to showcase my beautiful hometown. God's country. Watching from Dallas TX and this just made my day.
Karibu Sana.
Last time I was there we tried to buy some tea from 2 guys at the side of the road. The price seemed a bit high so we called another guy over from the other side of the road. We asked him how much his tea was and his exact words were "whatever they have said is also my price". We decided it was a cartell and drove off. We bought some tea from a very sweet lady a bit further up the road. I also remember thinking to buy a live chicken from the side of the road but decided it was too far to Nairobi to have a live animal in the car. Maybe I will do that another time. That day we ended up at a lodge at the foot of Mount Longonot. Great memories.
You always have some fond memories of the country, I think coz of rain i was not lucky to see the tea hawkers, on my previous trips on this road i always so them.
To buy tea in Kericho just go to the factory it's very cheap, we have factories like Kaisugu on your way to Nairobi just beside the road past Brooke. Hawkers are very expensive and the tea they have is not quality
@@Lule8603 Hiya. Will go to the factory next time. This time we were just having fun buying from the side of the road.
@@AfrikanTraveller It always rains in Kericho! I wonder whether you will ever get a chance to do some magic with your drone in Kericho!

Whenever I'm asked by any of my coworkers what part of Kenya I come from I'm gonna lie and tag them this video...... good job
Hahaha, that would cool.
You don’t need to lie to your friends. Just tell them where you are from and explain that Kericho is part of Kenya.
😂😂😂😂
Hahah ooh boy
a good one.
I have never visited Kericho town...woooooooow thiss is awesome. The greenery. My country is heaven.Thank you African Traveller.Big thumbs up 👍
Kericho is so beautiful and it's ALWAYS raining or just VERY cold and gloomy. Can you imagine that with all that tea plantations you see in that part, Bomet county has more acreage of land under tea plantations than any other county in Kenya? By the way, Next time you are in Kericho town, take the road that goes to James Finlays Flowers/ Kericho golf club and drive to the interior even for about 30 minutes. You'll be amazed with the beauty in that side. Don't worry about the road, they are tarmacked nowadays.
Ps: I love the song selection in all your videos.
What!!! I always thought Kericho has the largest acreage of tea in the country. We learn new stuff every day.
Seems the government is doing a good job in terms of road network across the country 🤔 anyway, nice job Traveler
Thanks to devolution county governments
I was in Kericho in 2010, loved it so much, the weather, the people
This is going to be your BEST upload ever produced.
The place is soo beautiful, I loved it.
The most friendly town I have ever visited. I just love Kericho
I once spent a night in kericho eh baridi huko sio mchezo. But the beauty is unforgettable

Very Beautiful Exquisite Tea Estates. Well Planned and Truly Beautiful Sight.
Kericho Town and the Areas along the Road looks Neat, Clean and Well Kept. Much better than most Developing Countries in Asia. Keep it Up.
My hometown! Grew up in Chomogondany, James Finlay tea farm. It was amazing! Best memories of my life. Thank you Afrikan Traveller for sharing Kericho with the world!
Finlay massive. Grew up in Chepgoiben

@@AfrikanTraveller I follow you. My hometown is Kericho. Skyscrapercity

I also remember the rain. Driving back to Kericho at night from Kisii. The rain was so heavy I couldnt see the road. Had to pull over at some shops that I saw along the way.
The are is truly blessed with lot's of rain.

Kericho ! My mum and brother used to bring goods to Kericho , very regularly.
It stopped after my brother got in a very bad accident heading to kericho. He loved this city
The tea farms are very scenic and picturesque our country is so blessed.
We are truly blessed indeed!
Nothing much has changed in Town center since I left there 7 years ago, But on the highway things have drastically changed, that road was small and full of potholes and there were not many buildings on that highway. And Watu wa Nyagacho poleni😂😂 tumewaonea kwa mbali
Place has changed. Lakini umechoma wasee wa Nyaga

One of the most beautiful places I have traveled to.
Despite the bad weather the place looks great. Thanks Afrikan Traveller for taking us to different parts of KENYA

Will most definitely visit those towns.
I am from Kericho, but schooled in Nyeri Primary , visited Nanyuki on occasion and the views of Mt Kenya was breathtaking.
Beautiful view. I love my country.
Beautiful fields of green. I wish I had a kilo MORE of that wonderful and delightful Kericho Gold pure Kenya tea (loose tea; not tea bags). Thank you for the great videos. You deserve a medal or two for promoting your country so well.
Thank you, you guys enjoying the video is my greatest Medal☺🙂🙂🙂

Thank God for you our brother... You're doing an amazing job. You're better than all the politicians combined showcasing our country's beauty... Or magical Kenya
Politicians are something else, let's enjoy the positivity.
Sir,,very nice,,green and beautiful ,, county,, really god bless to Kenya.and sir tnx for yr very informative with nice music.ashante sana,,RAJU,. From India
Our pleasure!
Currently live in Kericho; it really is as beautiful as they say. The weather is excellent (if you don't mind the rain), the food is fresh, cheap, and organic, the water is super clean (we drink our water straight from the tap without fear of disease), the air is clean and non-polluted, and the people just lovely. I've lived all over the world, but found my peace here in Kericho. Thank you for this lovely vlog.
Any particular explanation as to why Ministry of Lands would have such a huge building in Kericho?
That building is a complex, hosts Huduma centre and many another corporate offices
Kericho is a haven of tranquillity and one of Kenya's most agreeable towns. Its surrounds are blanketed by a thick patchwork of manicured tea plantations, each seemingly hemmed in by distant stands of evergreens, and even the town center seems as orderly as the tea gardens. With a pleasant climate and a number of things to see and do, Kericho makes for a very calming couple of days.
The green town is my Town,I love the weather and scenery.
Lovely place indeed.
Awesome place indeed.
I've always loved Kericho, so glad you're showing this to the world. It rains a lot in Kericho but at least you managed to do what you had to.

I love Kericho town. Cool weather and the tea plantations look like green mattresses😍. You"ve got to buy roasted maize and tea leaves. Good job traveller.
Thank you.
Great view and wow, beautiful countryside. Awesome content.
I like it that you’ve catered for sights and sounds as well coz every county(formerly provinces)that you’ve shared about you’ve done a great job of playing music originating from that area.
A quick question though; About drones, how’s the regulation on flying drones here and the larger country?
You never disappoint bro, niece piece of work. Time you visited Meru County.....Meru-Nanyuki Highway always ranks top, Kenya's best road for tourists...the wheat farms of Timau...
Thanks Bro, that route is in my plan.

Thank you so much for your channel. You have taught me to appreciate my country and especially this new constitution that brought about devolution. I still believe there are some holes that need to be fixed in the constitution but for the most part I'm seeing solid results that were lacking in the old constitution. Keep it up bro. Cheers
Devolution was a great thing for sure. Cheers Bro will keep at it.
As in ulikuwa my ocha, miss this town those drone shots amazing.. The green town anytime
It's a beautiful town indeed!
Nice work as usual. Kenya exports a large amount of tea but also important to note we also consume a lot locally.
Very true!
I love Kenyan tea. The best tea.
You never disappoint bro.
Thank you..
As a European, when I think of Africa, I often envision extreme poverty, hunger and war, with the majority of people live in mud huts with no running water or electricity. It is nice to see that not all African countries are dirt poor, and that there a places that come across as well functioning with people having a good standard of life. Thanks for correcting my misconceptions.
Visit Kenya 🇰🇪
Finally you're here. I schooled at Kericho Day secondary. Great town indeed.

Very beautiful, county governments should up their game on urban planning.
👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
That is a weakness in almost all urban Cenrets in kenya
The beauty is due to the multinationals still owning the tea farms. They never left since independence. Sad to say this, but our local authorities are still not serious or exposed enough to bother with decent urban planning or development.
My Man this is nothing short of exploding beauty.I have not been to Kenya and in this absence the heavy talk of rampant corruption, environmental degradation has always given me nightmares of a nation falling apart. But here you are with great real-time proof that there is still some good work going on, especially with the roads. This place is so enchanting more like Wales...
Just come and see for yourself Kenya is lit but I think Kenya has one of the most vibrant and free media in Africa which makes criticism of everything easy but truly we are trying

When I am in Kenya, I often get pissed due to people seeing Mzungus as walking ATMs, or charging higher prices for EVERYTHING.
It’s been 33 yrs since I was in Jericho, went to high school there.. was beautiful then and still beautiful now..
Kericho has maintained it's beauty for a long time.
Jericho.....that's where I schooled...... I know kerenga airstrip
How's This Town compared to that of kakamega
Hey @AfrikanTraveller, suggestion: For each of the places you visit, si you tell us where the “hot spots” are? Not where to get WiFi but popular spots for visitors. It could be one of a kind restaurants, parks, museums, kid friendly spaces. Reasons: Kenyans are really embracing #TembeaKenya but we still don’t have enough on ground info of what unique sites for travelers. It’ll also incentivize those towns to create or encourage private parties to create businesses for Kenyan travelers. Keep up the great content
I normally indicate on the description box below... I plan to be visiting them when never I spend a day in the town.
Afrikan Traveller poa. Hadn’t checked
How about getting a travel partner. It's a good idea. Enjoying your work from USA and it makes me feel good although I have never been there in person. Great and wonderful job.
