I think the development of players, breakouts, yearly awards, etc are half the fun of franchise. However, I totally understand the boredom and I think the playoff idea sounds fun too. EA just needs to get their shit together.

meags a little tip maybe you know this but a lot of times on your blitz you user blitz with the guy whose supposed to be guarding the rb and he always gets open for usually a touchdown. if you dont want the rb to score, cover him. and love the fire content papi 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Here's an idea. You could sim to midseason, but you can double all the XP rewards so it's like you're playing the full 17 games development-wise, but in reality it's half of that. You could also enable trades past the trade deadline so you could trade. When you sim to midseason you could make everybody's record the same. Also, I really enjoyed when you did the seasons with the legends and stuff. You could build off of this like each year the draft class would be different time periods or things. Like year one could be legends like Tom Brady, Ray Lewis, etc. Year 2 could be like "What-ifs" Players who could have been great but suffered injuries, or other things. This could be like RGIII, Ryan Shazier, etc.

I’d love to see more trades or some form of pink slips system where both teams both put up 1-3 players and winner gets to swap for an upgrade. You could randomize 3 positions, every game alternate 3 positions etc etc..
If not that then I’d like to see you force yourself to make a few more trades. Maybe at the beginning of each season and the deadline. 2-3 per season. I think that’s a big part of the fun

I think the best idea would just be every builds the team, sims to mid season and plays from there.
I think sim to halfway would be better. I think the development and fight for the playoffs is a big part of it.

Idea for cfm if you did it like a rebuild and had a couple hours where the 12 teams can make trades with the non player controlled teams. It’s like a rebuild to get everybody good teams then battle it out in the yoffs

Maybe sim until like week 10 or till the trade deadline, then you can still develop players and get more game play before the playoffs because just possibly playing one to four games a season doesn't feel like enough to connect to a team. You could also force win/lose games to keep the simmed games as equal as possible so no one gets an advantage if necessary

i think a great middleground would be draft a team sim till midseason then only play one year
and if you want too you can so something fun like 32 legends or you can do a win and steal a player kinda thing

I think you should fill the league, set your scheme starters etc then sim immediately to mid season. This way you only have roughly 8-9 games in regular season plus playoffs and draft. Then next season do the same

If you play guard at a high level like me then you’d know that engaging a triple team is a terrible idea and moving back to your spot is the right idea so no backer shoots the gigantic hole in the line

I think you should play every other game for example you play week one, sim week 2, play week 3 and so on and so on.

Play 1 sim 2 and repeat that so you play 6 total games during the season then play playoffs. That way you can still have some development. Now a season is about 10 games and as long as your team doesn't lose every sim you can still make playoffs

I have a great Solution at least in my Mind. So most of us like breakout and developing as much as the gameplay so that would be missing if its just sim to playoffs. So my Plan: First Season draft sim to half the season and then you play the rest with atleast some development and yearly awards and shit, second season you can directly sim to the playoffs and the reason why is, most of the players drafted in last season already progressed well and most of stud players in winning teams are around 93-99 with moral boost already. Futhermore the second year draft dont have real collage players in it so the development there is not so fun and interesting to see as the real players who are in the nfl in real life (witherspoon etc.). I think thats a good way to limit the Games a bit more but still show some of the development from the rookie from the 2023/24 Season very well.

I’d like to see more trading. The Josh Allen trade was pretty fair and just a swap. Would be fun to ask your live audience to vote if you won trade or lost trade. Then end of the season go look at the stats and grade it out. Just see how you did

Honestly I like your idea, but I think you should try to aim to the last two games of the regular season so everyone has two games to practice with their team
You could have everyone forfeit games until the league is all 5-5 after 10? Not sure how franchise works, if you actually have to wait a real life week to play or not?
Why don't you do the draft then sim to midseason. So we still get to see the players develop and at max it would only be 12 games
An idea could be (maybe) a 16 man league, filling the roles of half the teams in the league. For each game played against a real opponent, you play the game out. For games against cpu teams, everyone gets a force win and you sim the game. Im not a franchise player so if this is completely unrealistic or something that would just not work at all, then my bad. But at least that way (depending on how the schedule gets set up) everyone in the league could end up playing about 7-8 games against real opponents and just sim the games against cpu. I apologize for the long rant, especially if this is a doggshit idea
Just play the first 11 with everyone then based on the record have whoever runs the league force win to keep the same playoff picture.
Why not change the quarters to 2-3 minutes, everyone has to go for 2 at all times, and have 2-3 games an episode? That would make the games faster, the content more relevant, and we’d still be able to watch the progression ^_^ love the content Papa Meags!

If the league seems stale, run a legends league draft and focus draft heavy, like deep draft at least 26 rounds. Then do the same thing yall did this season and run to halfway

Just sim half/or more of the games you don’t wanna play and play the others, so we can still see some development of the players. Only doing playoffs doesn’t make sense.

hey matt you know dak prescott has 4500 yds 36 TD and 9 Picks which is the 3rd in yards close to the top in the TDs and like 3rd in fewest picks im not saying he should win MVP but he should be atleast in the top 5 players and ceedee lamb has almost the same numbers as tyreek hill lamb has 125 REC 1750 yds and like 10 TD while hill has like 112 REC 1799 yds and like 10 tds so dont rrule out lamb either

Can I make a suggestion? Why not design this entire series basically like the rebuilds but with a bunch of people and you just let the season play out by CPU? All use the same playbooks and all the goodness but training, skill points, trading players and shit is the main thing and go for more seasons since its quicker to just spectate
Please read my idea. I have an idea. Same length of season as year one in the NFL. Force win and force lose the same amount of wins and losses for every team then start your season at that point. And play offs. And if you want a shorter season and play offs.

Why not just sim like 3/4 thru the season that way u still get at least some breakouts. Or if you really want to put effort in you could hire a modder and get him to make it so u could play like 5 to 8 games for the regular season.
