@Mutlap I agree with you that you are not writing your dissertation; in fact, you are barely writing at all! Perhaps if you DID have a union teacher, you would be able to express your ideas in clear, coherent sentences. "Stop deferring from my statement..." Could you please translate that into English for me? According to the NY Times, "The richest 1 percent of Americans now take home almost 24 percent of income, up from almost 9 percent in 1976." THAT is Reagan's shameful legacy!
Senator Mondale was a good and decent man who championed fairness, equality, and decency; who wanted Americans to act like responsible, reasonable adults. Reagan told Americans it's okay to think and act like children, which is why he got re-elected. Notice Mondale is concerned about the very problems created by Reagan that we are still dealing with today: cutting aid to the poor, the rich not paying their share of taxes, etc.
Thank the lord that Reagan won. As a Jew I felt more secure that America was safe and strong w Reagan. If Mondale was elected I don’t think Israel would exist even today. Mondale was so weak that even the US may not have been too strong as a nation

“In his lifetime, Ronald Reagan was such a cheerful and invigorating presence that it was easy to forget what daunting historic tasks he set himself. He sought to mend America's wounded spirit, to restore the strength of the free world and to free the slaves of Communism.” That’s how Lady Thatcher started her great eulogy of Ronald Reagan, summarizing in one sentence his personal qualities and his great achievements.
There will be others like him. Reagan is the kind of man who came at the right time when the nation was at its lowest. Sure we may night find a man with his charisma, but there are some out there with the kind of integrity, loyalty, determination, wit, experience and intelligence that he possessed, perhaps more.

I often wonder what this country had been like if we had elected Walter Mondale instead of Reagan. Mondale was/is a fine person.

Reagan was a great president.
I thought he did a mighty fine job! And what mental illness are you talking about? Personal potshots are hardly becoming a RUclipsr, dear.
Im a Republican and I like Reagan. However Mondale made some good points.
None of you fellas believe in periods, huh? :P Guess you're too busy with your cell phones to bother...
@Mutlap
Perhaps if you could put together a coherent sentence, I could reply...

The New York Post is a tabloid. Why would I trust that rag.
Al Franken.
So Bush was more charismatic than Al Gore?
@Steelers26426 God willing!
@bruinsfleetcommander my pleasure

Oh, dear. Are you in school?
True that.
@Steelers26426
i agree
What the hell is your problem? Reagan had his faults but he is one of the greatest presidents we've had, or will have.
And that "future Mr Mondale was a future with out you" as president, thank God.

Alzheimer's. Even his son says so.
