i got HIMI gouache as my first gouache set and it’s been great to use! as you said it’s very vibrant and also durable, i think it’s one of the best gouache kits you could get that’s affordable and efficient.

Careful when you store them, though. They can get moldy since they're exposed

That happens too, but that's mostly when you forget about it and didn't seal it properly.
It's when the artist leave it in a corner just to remember it 6 months later lol

I don't know all gouaches, but I'm pretty sure they're all matte finish
@@VixxKong2 You can let them completely dry like most other gouache. They rewet incredibly well. It’s great if, like me, you prefer maximum control over water/pigment ratio.

Honestly I love messy art its just alot more authentic. One time I went to an art store that was very messy and unprofessional looking but had the best art supplies AND A LOT and I got a HUGE sketchbook from there. At the time I didn’t like messy art but now I love it.
