Actually, I went back to look at what Finishing School should be because I don't remember a cute house...and it's supposed to be a doorway card that you decorate!!!!!!!! What? This is way cuter but not what was originally shown. LOL!!
I didn't remember a house! I couldn't find what the set was about when I saw it was shipped...was looking for the last one too.

The doorway must've been delayed or had problems so they substituted with this. Very nice and well worth the price. Too bad, I collect the Easels and this is a nice one👍🙂
Anna spoke about the New box in a recent video - 3 things, 1) it WAS going to be a doorway but she switched to the house set, the doorway will be offered later this year 2) it is going to be available as a single ship next craft day in August 3) It’s designed after her personal house

Tip - the Magnetic Mat goes BELOW the Cardstock, and the Die goes face down on the cardstock. This way you can cut and emboss in one cut. and also the impressions get on the back of the cardstock and don't ruin the front. Happy Crafting!

Just got this in today’s mail - hey it’s not a doorway, were my first words when I opened it, because that’s how it was described on the video (no examples) but this house is cute and not just for one holiday - once you sign onto Finishing School you’ll see more ideas and one is a box made out of the house - I wasn’t certain it was worth $50 at first, but it’s very versatile and now I’m glad I have it - love the house made up in red paper as it really made it very special (imagine the roof done in matte copper paper) Thanks for showing and sharing- always the real deal

I got mine yesterday! Not disappointed at all, I'm obsessed with the houses. Funny, I returned the church because I figured I'd never use it...it's really sweet though. The brick paper is from the castle paper pack...I love her paper, its such great quality...and smells good too lol...super cute card! Oohhh, white glittery paper would be cute for a snowy roof...I think I'll be playing with my set this weekend haha

Beautiful! My box came yesterday and I too was not expecting a house die! I went back and looked at both HSN presentations and all that was mentioned was "doors and windows" there also, so this is a delightful surprise! By the way, I love your nails---they look so festive!!

@@VianneyCreates Yea, me too. I don't usually buy Christmas card kits because I generally do a photo card, but so glad I let this one come! Oh and today I got an email from HSN that my jigsaw puzzle die from CC had been cancelled because it was sold out! This is the second time I have gotten a cancellation long past an order being!

After watching your video I'm even more thankful I purchased this kit...it is just so adorable and as you said versatile.
I do have a suggestion, I think it would be much easier to use the dbl sided foam adhesive sheet for all the small accents and easy to cut out w/the dies . You can even cut out a foam wreath to use w/the die cut ones. However, I do suggest using one of the alcohol ink pens to color the sides of the foam, if it's extra thick, so the white doesn't stand out as the card is moved around. Hope this tip helps someone bc I'm all about making my life easier !😉

I love your card...and I just got my box from HSN! I read many reviews in the last couple of days from different sources and some crafters didn’t like the box because the box did not have lot of embellishments. Actually I love the house and the stock of papers on the box, for me that’s better than embellishments ( I have so... many lol 😂). Beautiful project... be safe!
I was surprised when I opened my box, because I didn’t remember this house. Thanks for letting me know it was suppose to be a door. Your card is adorable! I am happy they made the roof shingles in one long die for the house. I didn’t like the way the shingles looked on the Haunted House, when you had to flip the die over and put it on the other side. OMG! What a great autoship. Your card is awesome. Your recipients would definitely feel special getting that in the mail. I was on the fence about this autoship because I was already on quite a few of CC’s and decided no, but now am so bummed. I hope she brings it back to HSN or her site-I’d love to get this. I’d like to see you do a haunted house with this die set if you get the chance. So jealous right now...
I know, I wish they had shown the correct preview box bc I'm sure more people would have jumped on ar at least not skipped it! TYSM!
P.S. my magnetic mat is a wreck and makes an indented mess out of any paper. I’ve replaced it 2-times but it gets ruined right away even though I don’t cut into it, so I put on a couple sheets of printer paper to protect the surfaces. Also maddening when no pokey holes are in the dies Ohhh, a crafters tribulations hahaha

Aww, TYSM! I'm sorry that happened, too..I think if people had known this house was in the kit...they would have kept it! What they originally presented was a different card, like a door with decorations. This is way cuter!!
This is cute. Like you said, it doesn’t necessarily have to be decorated for Christmas. Also, thinking you can probably use it to make a Fold-it card just to get more use out of it.

Great tutorial. On the magnetic sheet leaving an impression on the card, maybe put a piece of typing paper between. It really irritates my also when companies do not leave a punch out hole in their dies. So far Anna’s dies are the only on I came across. I bought her alphabet dies and none of the letters have a punch out. So disappointing. I should have returned them, but decided to just deal with it. I just throw it on the table and they usually pop out. TFKIR😊😊😊

I received mine yesterday. I thought this was just a “door set” and was ready to send it back because I have other door sets from her and other companies. However when I opened the draw and saw the house, well that was a game changer. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I don’t plan on making a Christmas themed house, I’m working on some other ideas. That's funny what you said about the brick paper didn't look like Anna Griffin. I was just noticing on her HSN craft day preview that she has some astrological products that didn't look like her regular flowers, birds and lace. I think that is a good thing. I like her stuff, but you can only have so many things of that subject and style. I think if she can branch out a little keeping with her styles (I thought her astrological toppers where perfect - still looks fanciful and antique, but a new subject and design for her), I think I would definitely buy more of her things. Your card was beautiful, by the way!!

I love that die, I hope it comes out for next craft day. I use a piece of thin copier paper to keep plate marks from transferring to your project. Love the project.

Right? If you read through the comments...I went to see the replay on the finishing school autoship and it wasn't this cute house. It was a 5x7 card that had a door on the front that you would decorate. Probably why I was so surprised, I would remember it being a cute house!!

Nice video! I was surprised when I opened my box the other day and found the house instead of the door. Definitely a pleasant surprise though, because the house is adorable and I like most of Anna's shaped easel cards. As for not getting the impression on the gold paper, put a piece of copy paper on top before running it through your machine. It should act as a buffer and keep the paper you're cutting from getting messed up.

A lovely card as usual Vianney, I wonder if they'll have this on QVC in UK? As others have mentioned, use a piece of copy paper between your die and magnetic shim, also i have seen other demonstrators take a piece of low tack tape, turn the die over and stick it to the die cut to release it, this seems to work very well. Looking forward to more video's XX

I so love this house! It's so elegant...well, Anna's stuff usually is. lol But I do think this is a beautiful display of elegance. You did a great job, Vianney! I wonder too, how to keep the embossed streaks from the magnetic mat from getting on the card. You can't put anything between the mat and die or it defeats the purpose of being magnetic. :\ Hope someone can come up with a solution. I can't think of one right now...but even though you wouldn't see the gold house part you were doing, what if it was a part you DID see?

@@VianneyCreates There have been some packaging errors lately. I wonder if this was one of them. That this kit might have gotten mispackaged. At any rate, depending on your personal preference, as I saw the one that was matched to this title on the AG website, I think you got the better kit.

I always put my magnetic mat on top of my metal plate, still works, but doesn’t indent your magnetic mat
I usually do that, my issue here is that damage is already done from long ago and those dents get on my larger cuts. People way to place a sheet of paper between the plates and my paper. I'll try that, we will see! TYSM!!

I don't know the width but it will fit through the Big Shot, definitely! This is an autoship, but at times they will bring autoships back for individual purchase!

Yes, it will! You will have to run it through twice to cut the length completely but the width even has about an inch to spare!
