Ah the legendary Maccy Vad! Nice one. You know, sometimes I watch the middle part of your videos on 2x speed. But the Radicals are so fast, it felt like I was watching the whole race on fast forward.

Whilst the SR10 is an awesome car I still feel the inherent understeer in it takes away what made the SR8 such a fun racecar. The balance is off just a little. Always entertaining though Dave, love your work 👌

It just goes to show even one of the best can have a spin which was very unlucky.
I love Oulton Park and this layout is very quick as you say.
I think the SR10 doesn't try to kill you as much as the SR8 did but it is still a deadly beast to drive.

So we DID end up getting the radicals video! :D Had fun in that practice session even though you whooped me bad.
Always look out for any races at Oulton. Managed a podium last night, albeit in the second split! The IR04’s are there next week, so looking forward to that as well

You inspired me to try to have a go at this combo myself. At my skill level/split, I figure if I start from the pits I'm likely to gain IR just from people slinging themselves off track with aggressive driving that's not backed up with any sort of skill. I figure the end of the long straight, with no chicane to slow things down a little, is fairly likely to send one to the pits rather than immediately back on track and trying to 4x my efforts at running an incident free race. What I probably really ought to practice is how to do protests so I can do my part to clean up the tracks of the lunatics who think of other cars as a way to make it around corners they go into way too hot to make it around unaided. 😐

Dave you ever consider making a video using your current rig setup and then going back to your older stuff like your fanatec csl elite pedals and comparing lap times?
Well done Dave. That car is so razors edge especially in the last corner. Ive found that I can get better starts with a foot clutch than the dual clutch on my Moza GS wheel. That being said if you go back and watch your start you will see that you should have released the second clutch paddle a bit earlier. As usual great race good sir👍
Oulton Park with no chicanes is such a good track in almost any car !

Huh huh, it's a fast screen update, wow. You can feel the speed there. Touring cars should also have the same square speed, after all, they are fast cars too. But often the car seems to move slowly. Great video, there's action!👍🏆🥇
I was doing this series yesterday as well, wasn’t in the same race as you but was in practice with Paky Caruso, yes I too had a tough time

I did this race the other night and was 2nd. Was dropping to 4th at Island and 3rd at Druids so will try them in 5th and 4th thanks. :)
Great close racing Dave, shame about the little spinaroo. Should have stuck to 3rd gear for that corner instead of trying to drop to second maybe? I finally gave in and subscribed to iRacing a couple of days ago. First results have been great with the Mazda, two third places and a second, but I'm not so good on the Formula Vee. The sequential doesn't seem to like changing gear, or it somehow goes into neutral and I have to try to find a gear again.
As a beginner to iracing these cars are challenging at oulton
30 minutes for the race, three hours to record the intro...🤣. Yet another good post, Dave. Thanks.

I have an idea of a video for you that I would be interested in. If you could go through the settings / setup of your heusinkveld pedals (as in the hardware itself). That would give ideas on what to try to see if I'd like it better if it was like you. For example you recommended once the simucube config you were using so I tried it and found it a lot better than what I was using. Thanks
I had the pleasure of having a Mac in my neck for 2 laps in a practice session in this combo. Not a pleasant sensation I admit. How has this guy survived that for the whole race?

I enjoy watching you Race Dave, very cool, but as much as iRacing is obviously a good sim with decent physics, connection to the track, online competitions etc, the graphics are diabolical. It's like watching a cartoon. With all the cash they rake in, upgrading the visuals should be top of their list.
You actually put in a better time on most laps than Jason.
If you stayed within track limits more often and touched the kerbs instead of running over them you would be a "TOTALLY AWESOME DRIVER".

the Radical is a great car to drive, but needs a good amount of practice to master
8:10 2 laps on the trot but it got you from 1.4 to 0.7 behind, worth the 4x1x 🤷🏻♂️
Radical SR10? So how does one purchase this car? I don't see it at iRacing, at least not for sale.
it might be a silly question, but... how you can show the + / - bar (under the center mirror) during race? got default key mappings... it could help me a lot to have contant times during a race.

By default it's tab. I cycle through usually to session best lap. You can press alt k to move the UI around and press alt k again to lock it into position 👍

Excellent drive the spin hit curb a bit to much. 5th turn you smoked the 10 car. If you had focused on it maybe you could get him. Looked like you had fastest lap.

'Cold tyres' and 'Old tyres' - seem to be the danger zones racing the Radical. Oulton such a bumpy, tricky circuit is
probably better with the chicanes in terms of overtaking, but in terms of speed and danger - not for beginners!

@Dave Cam I think the rookie series are still getting reasonable numbers but it is a shame the BTCC series died off, the new release candidate that came out today allows you to race against content you don't own so no more having to buy every car, hopefully that will bump start things a bit.
