Hi guys I'm 65 years old retired and love the videos.always been interested in heavy equipment so love watching the D11s and other equipment...keep up the great work and thanks.
I still have flashbacks to picking rocks by hand, one ute load after another. Hundreds of tonnes of rocks moved to bush strips, and yet every year when the drill goes over it, MORE BLOODY ROCKS :D If Phil didn't want to be on camera then he should try to be less interesting :P Love your work boys
Great to see how the rock picker works. Looks a bit sketchy getting in underneath trying to get the rock out though. Still I guess you how the machine works.
G'day to Cranky Brad, Media Matt and Lucky Phil. While a couple of us were doing a stubble burn this arvo before the air seeder hits the paddock, we were having a chat and are amazed at the mechanical repair work you blokes get up to. Although I don't think Brad's lathe work is going to put Curtis from Cutting Edge out of business tomorrow... 🙂 Keep the videos coming, Matt!! We love them!
I enjoy the variety in the content of your channel. Always have the closed captioning on because the accent can sometimes be difficult to understand. Background noise also interferes so getting everyone to talk a little louder would be helpful. Brian Sonne from Sonne Farms in South Dakota initially spoke too softly in their earlier videos but he’s improved a good deal and we enjoy hearing everything he has to say. Hope you guys will do the same.
In about 200 years from now the farmer who farms this block will be scratching his head wondering how all these rocks ended up there. Love your videos guys from the States.
Gday guys.. look it's no easy feat recording your life. What makes this work is you are all talented and genuine individuals, and remember if you meet a thousand people, not 1 of those people know you or see you the same as anyone else. So you guys are lucky on you tube because you guy's are so much to so many. Thanks Matt, Brad, Phil, Dad and all the crew. I spend every winter disassembling, fixing and maintaining a lot of gear. These guys who I see putting 700hrs on machines and trading really twist my tits, 10000hrs for me is a minimum. What that means is dirty hands and late nights at times but not wasteful. Also in my experience those KIVIPEKKA units are great for forest to farmland wood but what I call "ROCKS" they aren't man enough. Should be called a stone picker not rocks. I'm sorry your government is still holding up life with that Covid crap. Keep up the great work mate's from New Zealand.
Excellent job all of you , Brad I know how you feel about rock picking I’m all for leaving it to someone else these days or a great big machine that you don’t have to get out of
As always another great vid thanks boys! And from one Brad to another keep gump’n 😏😜people tend to leave ya alone 😂😂 your all doing a insanely good job because the job gets did. Till next time 👋🏻
Probably lots of ways of picking up the stones and rocks. Would something like a Himac claw grapple (Albany, Aus) on the blue New Holland work? Reverse the NH and Kivi-Pekka back from the big rock, use the claw grapple to pick the rock up (hopefully the soil drops out) and place in a front loader bucket on the Deutz tractor &/or small red tractor as carry and dump stone gofers. Might avoid carrying a 4 in one bucket full of big stones around. If the rocks get bigger then the Boss Attachment or Himac type hydraulic grabs and hydraulic grapple buckets on the excavator etc.
Phil Watch Farmer Phil in Ireland He’s just got a rock picker like yours And his channel’s a bit similar from the other end of the world’s farming Could have done with a stone picker many years ago Keep up the good work
Can’t believe how big that sprayer is when you are working next to it. It’s huge. Rock picking must the so boring in your huge fields when yon are used to using such wide equipment
You guys are quickly becoming my favorite farmtuber along with the Welkers!!!!
That’s big praise! Thanks!

I'm with ya on the rock picking. There is a zen quality about it that plowing didn't have. Good on ya!

That little digger thing looks like an office chair with a garden spade stuck on the front... It's cute...

I was just about to ask what size rocks the rock picker could handle then the comparison to a 20 litre can was perfect!
Brad 13:05 Not very good doing things one handed, that’s gotta go on a tee shirt. Cheers lads.

Come on Phil your a legend "goer" on the camera. Might have to start up a Phil and Brad channel 🤔 😅
Rocking what can you say? Best pick now rather than bending the combine back in shape. Its therapeutic.
Hey Matt how come you let Brad operate the forklift while putting the cab on after his last effort trying to pick up the wheel weights 😂
😂😂
Love ya work Brad.
Oh, Bred (No Pain No Gain) you must have Got a lot of Gain, when that rock smacked you in the knee. (15:20) Must have hurt.
Brad not Bred
Good morning from Texas, big boys always need toys, LOL

If you grow wheat, do you reseed your own harvest, or buy new seed externally
We either reseed our own or buy seed from a neighbour to sow, unless we are doing seed production in which case we get seed from the supplier👍😁
