      jahh... the fleetingness of this kind of magic... at first it’s like washing your hands, then it’s like brushing your teeth, then it’s like a haircut... and maybe one day it’s like a second language... for the most part it stays with you .. as long as you speak it once in a while...

      @@ImprovingAbility Great sentence!
      Also I feel that if I keep the stimulus coming, whether it's dancing, walking on new nature topography, just moving in new ways, etc.. anything with new and varied information... it also helps with keeping and enriching the magic.
      Like Hypertrophy for neurology? :)
      Reminds me of my grandma learning new languages at 90 year old, saying to keep "feeding the brain".
      I feel new information is like food :) (the trophy in hypertrophy)

    Dear Alfons -Thank you SO much for this opportunity to do this life changing Feldenkrais. Ive suffered trauma and have done mindfulness then Trauma sensitive mindfulness, then Yoga trauma sensitive classes and this Feldenkrais is the most exceptional excellent way to 're-wire' the brain and heal the nervous system in trauma. This method is the very BEST way to be in your own body and to be! I find buying CDs at the Feldenkrais institute so expencive and its not affordable to buy many CDs . Finding you on You Tube has been a blessing and I thank you so very much! Your sessions are helping me recover from trauma and develop myself gently. Thank you.

    Alfons I need to thank you for videos like this. I started doing the movements you have suggested in your many lessons in preparation for a trip to Japan as I was suffering from stiffness and back pain. Well....suffice to say that I managed the trip and all the walking I had to do without ANY pain at all! I find all your lessons very helpful but I do tend to focus on my hip joints and neck. I had this thought often after doing Feldenkrais explorations. The sense that a profound change happened. And yet it seems to disappear after a while. I think we just have to repeat it again with an attitude of a "beginner's mind."

    • @ImprovingAbility
      @ImprovingAbility  4 года назад +6

      1. Feldenkrais is about movement organisation 2. Bicycle and running about cardio 3. Gym about strength and endurance 4. Dr. Greger (book “How not to diet”) says “you can’t outrun a bad diet” 5. Probably need a combo of these for optimal health 😊👍
