Congratulations🎉, please when you applied for your uk citizenship application did you submit your brp because am meant to be travelling and i need my brp to return. Thank
Hi How long did take for the approval? I’m Over 2months now I applied through agent I think I made a mistake he didn’t put right dates in application that’s why it’s taking long 😢 please reply if exact dates matter
Hi Zeeshankhan, it took 4 months. I applied in August and got a response in December. I don't believe the exact dates matter, I believe the general processing time period is "within 6 months". Hopefully soon you'd hear back from them. All the best 😊
Hi Mian, do you mean how long from the time I came over to the UK until I got my Citizenship? If so, I actually stated it in my video, it was about 8 years. If you mean otherwise, please let me know.
Heyy, I live in Manchester and I received a ceremony invitation without having to book because according to the Manchester register office, the home office sends them a copy of the successful citizenship application so they can book it automatically without the applicant having to contact them. What I’m asking is when you received confirmation that your application was successful was it via email or post? Because I have received a ceremony date which means my application was successful but i haven’t received an email or post from home office directly. Thank you for your time
@tracyima472 Okay, I suspected it would be different per city. Also, considering when I had mine done, there were backlogs from Covid season, so the process might have been changed to suit the situation at the time. In any case, I received mine by email if that helps, and on the letter, I was told to book my ceremony, hence the link I sent you.
Hi, sorry for my late reply. Yes, but I believe the address to post the BRP is also on the GOV website, just so you have the accurate information you need.
Hi Kuusoow, thank you 🙂. Having 2 Referees is a standard requirement but if you can't find 2, it might be worth checking with the home office to see what your options are. They are not always very strict with who the referees are, so if you have any friends or colleagues with British passports (even if they are not in professional occupations), that might be acceptable. Hope this helps.
