@@BrazyUKYeah someone phoned and told me, I asked why and if they had any feedback. They declined to disclose any reasoning but suggested that I apply next time.
Survivor is actually shot on Playa Caleton, five minutes drive from the town of Rio san Juan and just along from Playa Grande beach and golf complex, so the contestants are hardly marooned on a remote beach in Dominican Republic.

@@njc84 as a Us Survivor fan, does Uk Big Brother end with a public vote, because I don't watch our version, but I know they changed it to the Jury a long time ago
As far as I know, BB UK evictions/winners have always been decided by public votes.
I will be on this show some day, that's a promise since 2000 i wanted to be on this.

As a Survivor fan from the Us, I hope we can have a season with the best players from the Us, Uk, and Australia, and maybe some other countries, but I don't see anyone besides those 3 unless they happen to speak English
Just watched ep 1 and as a whole I guess I liked it. Will watch ep 2 later. Thanks for the entertainment.

I’m looking forward to watching Survivor 46. I’ve watched it since it premiered and I just have one thing to say…. RAISE THE PRIZE MONEY TO 2 MILLION DOLLARS. The prize money needs to catch up with the times.

Hopefully UK take cues from the South African and Australian versions of the game. They are the best by far.
For me the USA & Australian versions are the best. Followed by the South African version.
@@C--A I personally would have said the same some 5 years ago (after winners at war) but the new format of the US version...really does not allow for proper game players and villains to thrive. So character wise it is boring in comparison to the others.

@@DanielBraganca-z8cIt's a matter of preference. USA is iconic but the new era survivor US is a whole new game. Challenges are more physical in the other 2 which I love. Strategic game play in other 2 is better for me. Plus villains & rivalries imo make the show more fun. It's been years since there was a proper villain in Survivor US. Well atleast one that is memorable. But with Australia for example you see them every year from King George to the Golden God. I love it.

Bear grylls would have been a better host maybe though I don't really dislike the current one like many seem to do because he gives a sort of nice and friendly vibe which maybe a good change and make this unique. 😅

They need an icon, someone with charisma and/or someone with alpha energy like JLP in the Australian version. That's probably hard to find in the UK though.

It’s the first (rebooted) season. If it’s successful there might be more money in the future. Then again it’s the bbc not itv so probably not
This show was on ITV between 2001 to 2002 before it was axed for I'm a celebrity. Back then the jackpot was one million pounds. This version is cheap. Having said it looks good, although it looks more like total wipeout rather than survivor lol 😆
@@alexandercruttenden4401 I don't think any UK TV station can afford to take a risk on the show and give a 1million jackpot today (plus it's not the prize that should get a viewer to watch), none of them would likely get enough viewers to get more from advertisers (you could say viewership of TV is ten times less than in the 00's).
Though the BBC generally don't like to give cash prizes (if they do it will usually be lots lower than other stations, such as in the 00's the weakest link on the BBC the winner got 20k, vs ITV's who wants to be a millionaire) because of the potential backlash from the public as they will be giving the prize money from public funding.

I just hope this obviously majority recruit cast enjoys playing the game and doesn't ruin it with their sense of honour and morals.
I think most of them signed up just reading their contestant bios
@@swisscheese1 recruits always are told to lie about applying you never hear them say they were recruited in their bio. Theres a bunch of bios that say 'I never knew about the show till I applied' 😂

They obviously picked a season full of recruits for the first time so they can control the pace for the show. Keep applying! Having seen other versions of the show season 1 is always such an afterthought compared to the later seasons.
British version? Finally!
This is technically the third season of the UK version. ITV had season 1 & 2 of Survivor UK way back in 2001 & 2002.

BBC are pretty poor with advertising shows, you prob won't get a trailer till a couple of weeks before it airs.

I mean, there were two seasons made by ITV in 2001 and 2002, but it tanked sense people in the UK at the time weren’t used to a pre-recorded format, unlike Big Brother which is live.

It still got way more viewers than Big Brother on Channel 4, but ITV just never supported it, eventually killing it off to make way for another humid wilderness reality TV format but with celeb has-beens.

The most lame season of Survivor in the history of Survivor seasons, I've watched all US - NZ, Oz - even Sth Africa - these fools have no idea how to play, the producers and editors should be ashamed of themselves too (not that they had much to work with!)...and the host...don't even go there...LAME LAME LAME - love Matty - but seriously? Chris was the OBVIOUS WORTHY WINNER...travesty....
This is going to be painful to watch. I’ve been watching the US and Australian one for years upon years. If it’s anything like the Challenge Uk this will be embarrassing.
