Well...many people who have not read Bhagvat Gita or Upanishads think that caste discrimination is part of Hinduism. No it is not. Caste discrimination is "PAAP" in hinduism. Seeing everyone (all forms of creation whether human or animal) as a manifestation of Paramatma or Allah is the core of Hinduism/Sanathana. There was a period of 3500 years since the onset of iron age (approx 2000-1500BCE) when Vedas and Upanishads were twisted by monarchs and Brahmins and created Manu smriti, primarily for exploiting the labour class who were 90% population for the sake massive profits for merchants thus increasing tax collection for kings and grants for Brahmins. Therefore manu smriti was a smart strategy to mentally enslave lakhs of people for generations. Obviously the gains and riches were massive and hence major efforts were taken by all monarchs to deep root it in Indian culture for 3500 years, in the name of Dharma Shastra. The truth is : manu smriti is "Adharma", as per hinduism. Anyone curious to know the true position of Hinduism can read Bhavnat Gita and Upanishads particularly about the 4 varnas described therein. I cite 2 examples here : 1. Shiva appeared as Untouchable in front of Adi Shankaracharya and made him realise the core principle of Vedas that God does not accept any act of discrimination among humans/his creation. A lengthy conversation happened between Lord Shiva and Adi Shankaracharya on this topic. We have read it since childhood and seen it in movies as well. 2. Lord Ram's treatment of Shabari a tribal. He saw her love and ate what was bitten by her. To summarise : we need to stop thinking that hinduism approves discrimination along caste or religious lines. NO IT DOES NOT. Only half knowledge people think like that. Politicians (like earlier emperors) keep the caste and religion fights alive for the sake of power and money. That's why they commit inter-religious quarrels and caste wars....while they inaugurate Shankaracharya statues in the hinduism. 😠😠😠😠 Let's stop abusing hinduism or any religion/caste for that matter. Well...many people who have not read Bhagvat Gita or Upanishads think that caste discrimination is part of Hinduism.
No it is not.
Caste discrimination is "PAAP" in hinduism.
Seeing everyone (all forms of creation whether human or animal) as a manifestation of Paramatma or Allah is the core of Hinduism/Sanathana.
There was a period of 3500 years since the onset of iron age (approx 2000-1500BCE) when Vedas and Upanishads were twisted by monarchs and Brahmins and created Manu smriti, primarily for exploiting the labour class who were 90% population for the sake massive profits for merchants thus increasing tax collection for kings and grants for Brahmins.
Therefore manu smriti was a smart strategy to mentally enslave lakhs of people for generations. Obviously the gains and riches were massive and hence major efforts were taken by all monarchs to deep root it in Indian culture for 3500 years, in the name of Dharma Shastra.
The truth is : manu smriti is "Adharma", as per hinduism.
Anyone curious to know the true position of Hinduism can read Bhavnat Gita and Upanishads particularly about the 4 varnas described therein.

1. Shiva appeared as Untouchable in front of Adi Shankaracharya and made him realise the core principle of Vedas that God does not accept any act of discrimination among humans/his creation.
