Good to see you setting the doors out below DPC allowing for concrete to go to the back of the outside brick skin. We've been doing that for years and you wouldn't believe how many clients, architects and building inspectors have said that's not how it's done. It's a much better job and means there's no trouble trying to put flooring over an open cavity. I've seen a lot of bodge jobs over the years where damp has come through the threshold. Good job lads.
great vid guys...bit of a tip i've started doing is cut a bit of visqueen over the brickwork at one end after all the visqueen is finished then tape the slab end down...pick up a cheap window cleaning squeegee and stick yer broom in the end then ya can scrape all the water out up and over yer peice of visqueen instead of having to bucket it out or shovel it...a good back saver like

Good video, missed the pour but meh, saw the actual skilled part, I liked how you got your straight edge ... they've never once gave me a single straight bit of lumber to use never mind 2 to do that :D I want to blind and DPM' the inside of my garage, insulate, DPM and pour, but how high do I take the DPM because it isn't a cavity wall so I was considering using Kingspan or similar insulated board on the inside because of planning. Also is the DPM doubled up on the walls? Thanks again for any help.

Hi chaps, Looking good. Can I ask about the block returns in the doorway. You returned the blocks below dpc, are you intending to do this above dpc or cavity closers? If so why not a cavity closer at the bottom too?
