This timeless song was the centrepiece song in the 1926 musical "Oh Kay", with lyrics by Ira Gershwin and Howard Dietz. Originally conceived as an up-tempo number, the slower ballad style has become the norm since the 1930s. Arranged for piano by Annie Burbank.
