Well what happened was the internal memory that they use for missing now was actually just kind of a placeholder but originally they were supposed to be 191 Pokémon when the first games came out that’s what they agreed on however, though they actually had roughly 300 concept designs, but do the cartridge limitations. They decided to limit down to 191, and then 151. The story also kind of changed because there were some placeholders in some of the areas like Mewtwo story for example was completely different.

Am I right in saying this is a combination of beta sprites and fan sprites/work? I know Kotora was an official beta pokemon, but I thought Gorochu's front sprite has never been found? Let alone English names for a lot of the beta pokemon?
the way I see it and the way Satoshi Tajiri said it he believed that the gaming market needed a change, so when he struggled to make this series he thought of a jrpgs of adventure and collecting, but as time went on the game designers started to rethink certain things
Did Ohmega get a Pokémon inspired by it? I think it gives Genesect vibes of being a possible robot version of an existing Pokémon (Genesect is possibly Kabutops and Ohmega bares a striking resemblance to Kangaskhan)
well there’s another way you can do it, you’ll need to encounter a ditto have it transform into the Pokémon you used that has a special 191, then you gotta use max repels until you can get the menu to pop up again don’t fight any trainers or encounter any other Pokémon because the Pokémon you fight at level 7 will depend on the special matching the index numbers of the said Pokémon.

Is it possible that Trampel might have become Donphan or Copparagah later on? The tusks fit the later design wise.

Yes it inspired blastoise and it was replaced by blastoise due to cartridge limits

How to catch mew in this version? I did the abra’s teleport glith in Cerulian City but i found Ohmega
You need to get a Pokémon with a special of 191 instead of 21
