So awesome to have you back already man. Glad to hear the tests came back positive, and hopefully you get the issue 100% sorted soon. In relation to the track, this is definitely my favourite of the singles from Illenium's new album so far. So good to have an actual EDM track with a drop. That said, in my opinion it suffers from some of the issues I had with most of Ascend which were (1) weaker vocal melodies compared to most of Ascend and Ashes (not to diminish Valerie Broussard, who is very talented) and (2) some muddy production (I've always preferred the punchier, pristine percussion on Ashes and Awake). I also found myself looking for a switch up in the 2nd drop, which I'm starting to realise I never used to expect until more recently (it's funny how our expectations can shape the way artists push things forward and vice versa). But on a positive note it's still a solid track, and I'm way more pumped to hear the rest of the album than I was after First Time 👍

I’ve noticed that melodic bass music has been leading more toward this and I also find it annoying when it’s just a copy-paste drop. I think it works for some songs though like this one where the drops are so powerful and showcasing their specific mix of styles.
