Thank you! I adapted this for a project of mine but would like to have several different shapes to be animated - do you know an efficient way to achieve this rather than copying and adjusting everything from scratch with each iteration? Anyhow the tutorial helped me a lot already!
You can create the animation once and then just swap out the logo inside logo comp and render different logo animations quickly

If you don't plan to animate it, simply typing "/1.78" into the end of the vertical blocks value will do the trick. (Typing math into a field in AE does the calculation inline) This is better so that you don't have a math operation running every frame!

Great tutorial bro! But I have one question here. What if I want this logo or text animation to start appearing not from the middle to the edges, but vice versa, starting from the outer edges and ending in the middle (for example the animation of 2 square blocks that are sliding from both sides and are reviling the text from left and right outer edges to the middle), is it possible to achieve that? And how it can be done?
Yes, it's possible. Try reversing the scale values or if that doesn't work, you can create a shape without fill but with stroke and animate stroke width until you reach the center from the edges

what if it appears randomly? like a mosaic, not using masking as a transition in? it appears from the mosaic box from a random part, not from the center outwards or from top to bottom. do you know how?
technically you can do anything inside the shape layer comp and set it up how you like. Add fractal noise to the shape layer and stuff like that, it's hard to explain though
@@SmertimbaGraphics Then how do I get the mosaic to enter randomly? Because I don't use masking as a transition, but use a mosaic effect that moves randomly by using fractal noise. do I have to use an expression so that the image that appears later has the same tempo as the randomly moving mosaic. such as transitioning in with a randomly moving mosaic effect. so that there are parts of the image that appear first and appear later according to the random rhythm of the mosaic.
@ForCasual-y6x what if you keyframe random seed on fractal noise?
@@SmertimbaGraphics yes I did, then how do I make the incoming transition appear like a moving mosaic, the image will slowly appear from the white mosaic first then followed by the black mosaic. like you did, but you used a mask to make the incoming transition. while I want the incoming transition from the mosaic itself.
This effect can be created with Fractile noise i think

You can reveal anything, as long as you isolate it with something like rotobrush

As long as it doesn't have a background, png should work

@@SmertimbaGraphics I made it in illustrator, then rasterized it in illustrator with a transparent background, then used it instead of text in this tutorial.
Basically it's changing the colour of my logo from white to the colour in the colorama effect

Yeah it's very strange. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Perhaps the find edges effect can't find the edges on my image. Sorry to bother you.

I guess you can loop the shape layer expanding, if that is what you mean
