A little tip: you can make numerous takes of what you want to say. Or even write a text and learn it. Or put the text in front of you. This way you will not have to make three cuts in the first 9 seconds of a video.
I bought the Yearly Planner in December, and I have to say I love it. It's been a great tool in planning my day-to-day activities, especially now that I've switched jobs and need to keep a close eye on my tasks.
Hello Ruby: A lovely Sunday vlog and explanation of why you do specific things on Sundays. We also have a Reset Day but ours tends to be Saturdays, the reason being we can then enjoy the rest of our Saturday and all of Sunday as we wish before starting back to the work week. :) Congratulations on establishing an agent and on already being at re-write for potential publishing. Do talk through which types of publishing houses your agent will approach as, all too often, it isn’t the work that isn’t of a good standard but the publishing houses being approached. We’ve no doubt your book likely takes place in the Victoria era and, as you know those books so well, try to ensure your agent approaches houses that are well known for Victorian era publications. It may make all the difference between a Yes and a No. Also, don’t become disheartened by the “no”s. It only takes 1 Yes, and as an avid reader, we know you know the stories of how many rejections before acceptance. We are super proud of you taking this leap and will cheer you on throughout! It is also wonderful that you have already established a routine in budgeting and recording keeping. Of course you have to do it for tax purposes, but a lot of young people don’t set up budgets and expense recordings until they are much older and then wonder: Where on Earth did all my money go? As you move into full independence and work life it becomes imperative to keep budgets and expenses so that when setting big goals such as home expenses, purchasing a car, saving for a house etc one can have a good understanding of where they may be spending that can be reduced and where they may be able to save as well. For instance, in the fast fast work world, it is extremely easy to be so tired at the end of the day that just getting a takeaway feels easier than cooking. A takeaway is, of course, often delicious and shouldn’t be a never, but if keeping a budget snd expenses sheet, one might find the level of takeaways can be reduced to help save for something else. Just an example though - some people’s work lives are so demanding, a takeaway may be the only option. As a parent, I have to keep tabs on every penny I spend because unexpected expenses come up ALL.THE.TIME. Whether it is something as simple as Child A needs new school trousers or something as expensive as Child B is meant to be going on a trip to China for school (happened one year - pandemic cancelled it). By knowing how much you are spending and where, you can find ways to move funds around or to cut back in order to ensure these unexpected expenses are covered (or even put funds in savings specifically for unexpected expenses). The better you know where your money goes, the better off you will be in the long run. Finally, we own the entire Nevermoor series. If you ever want to read more of them, just let me know and we can send them your way. As you know, we are extremely avid readers in this household (even if we aren’t good at keeping up with our online logs) and so own A LOT of children’s literature. Always with love, 🌹 and the gang
Adding another to the long list of Congratulations for the literary agent! The blueberry pancake tea sounds really good. My husband gave me two linen bags filled with so many Twining & Stash teas and I have not found any duplicates yet. Really helps when I am trying to get classwork done (going back to school for Health Information Management-but professionally I am a 30yr Respiratory Therapist). I will have to suggest that tea to him. Keep up the good work & congrats again!

This is something I have been meaning to write in relation to another video which had so many things that you try to do in a day. I wanted to share with you something I tried out in a similar situation when I I had a lot to fit in. Instead of using a 24 hours cycle, I used a 48 hour cycle. So on day 1 I had to do a, b, c etc and on day 2 x, y, z and then back to ab ,c and then xyz. It was less stressful and more manageable. I am interested in your view on it.

It isn’t sealed so you can just open it and then seal it shut! I’m not trying to criticise - just thought I’d put a message in case you hadn’t realised! 😆

I just approached a lot of agents! I've been looking for an agent for the past two years and faced a few rejections -- and then, funnily enough, an agent approached me and asked if I had any plans for publishing. I didn't end up signing with that particular agent, but sent off a draft and letter to another agent who did end up accepting it :) I could talk about the process more in a video (especially compiling the different elements that I sent to agents), but I am also aware that my RUclips channel gave me an advantage when approaching literary agents (even though I don't want to position it as a "RUclipsr book") x

Omg Ruby! I’m so happy for you! I’m trying to get a literary agent and I’ve been trying for quite a while now, would you be able to make a video on how you got one like how you structured your query letter, where you looked for agents etc?
I just approached a lot of agents! I've been looking for an agent for the past two years and faced a few rejections -- and then, funnily enough, an agent approached me and asked if I had any plans for publishing. I didn't end up signing with that particular agent, but sent off a draft and letter to another agent who did end up accepting it :) I could talk about the process more in a video (especially compiling the different elements that I sent to agents), but I am also aware that my RUclips channel gave me an advantage when approaching literary agents (even though I don't want to position it as a "RUclipsr book") x
