I’m new in my produce department in my local grocery store and really haven’t gotten any formal training yet, so these videos have helped me a ton! I close so I’m not sure if I’m supposed to cull throughout the evening as well
I think it's cool that you as manager do work like this. For instance my current manager does not touch the wet rack, ever. You actually help your coworkers with everything even breaking the loads. Hopefully one day we can work together again. Peace out
I’m a journeyman produce clerk for Safeway, you are definitely a journeyman yourself who takes pride in your work. Love it. You work with speed while still putting out quality products. Keep that up, I hope you move up in your company.
What type of shifts do you think a person “closing produce” should work? Or until what time - if the actual store closes at 10pm. Do you let product sell down in the evenings or keep it full in the early morning?
@@CruzerLovesveggies yea I’m on the wet wall and its constant replenishment of broccoli, squash, kale, bell peppers and others. Then it’s the constant questions from the customers! I’m used to a laid back produce section in other stores. Whole Foods is BUSY!!! but I’m there for the paycheck so it is what it is
