Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is a real-time strategy video game developed by EA Los Angeles and published by Electronic Arts. "Epic War" is a mod for Red Alert 3.
Like the previous entries in the Red Alert series, the game is set in an alternate reality from World War II, in which the Western Allies fight the Soviet Union.

In Red Alert 3 the Soviet leadership, facing defeat, goes back in time to kill Albert Einstein and prevent his assistance to the allies, paving the way for Soviet domination in the present. However, as an unintended consequence, a third world power, the Empire of the Rising Sun, is created and all three sides go to war.

The game that I got hooked into the Command and Conquer Franchise before Generals Zero Hour and RA2_Yuri's Revenge...
If I were to Cherdenko, he should have just forces Dr. Einstein to provide the Soviets his Nuclear Sciences Research- than Erasing the Good Doctor out of the timeline...
If this was the scenario: The Soviets could have been the Nuclear Overlords, while the Allies will resort to Precision Weapons that uses minimal or alternative Energy Sources.
And as for the Empire of the Rising Sun - they could still wage their war against these two powers, using their VX-Class Variable Frame Mechanized Forces powered by both Alternative and Solar Energy - if not pure untapped Psionic Energy...
C&C Games with mods make the Campaign easyer for you and your friend
Some C&C Games working very well with mods and the Campaign too, but some always crash :D If it works, it is soo much easier, because of some Units and struktures.
What Epic War version are you playing on? I've installed 4.3, and the soviet campaign is unplayable: in this very mission the Bullfrog that's supposed to fire Natasha into the battle is destroyed before the launch and you automatically fail before doing anything whatsoever. The mod author acknowledges this, but provides no solution, only promises to fix it some time in the future.

It's been 15 years since releasing of this game.
I really did not find RA3 that enjoyable. I played the shit out of C&C 3. Don't think I ever beat RA3 with all campaigns.
